Dynamis Beaucedine shouts only ever happen when I'm busy, and I'm always too polite to tell everyone to fuck off so I can get the clear. So I guess my peeve is myself for not being more of a selfish asshole?

Last night in Dyn-Valk, I was competing against probably about 6 other Bsts at one point. Didn’t know any of them. 1 or 2 of them I was fine with because it was clear they made an effort on their Bst. The others though….ug.…gross.

Overall I saw…

I could be wrong but iirc one had a Maneater/Juggy combo

I guess I can deal with Pearl armor. Your too lazy to get Emp+1 armor (at the very least)….fine. Emp armor +0 though? Good lord.
Headlong belt? Swift belt is an easy solo…hell twilight belt is even pretty common ><.
ACP armor? Why why why. Your pets shouldn’t have Accuracy issues at that level. And a body that benefits you more is better than some +atk for a pet. That armor is for fights only your pet can participate in.

Axes-
Doom Tabars…good job, you got 2 with decent augments in an abyssea gold chest. They still suck.
Manny/Jugg? Great combo 24 levels ago
Glyph Axes? Same as ACP armor…wear it when it’s a pet only fight. Stop hurting yourself for +1 regain on your pet. You still have to wait for charges to be ready on half your Ready moves anyway.

Pets-
Sheep? Stop being so cheap. Bite the bullet and buy 50k-70k worth of Dips or Falcors. You’ll see far more profits in currency return
Slug? I don’t get it.

I gotta take issue with this. So many people hate on Headlong Belt, and it pisses me off so much. It's a quick and easy AH option for a haste belt. It's something you wear until you can get something better and it beats the shit out of wearing something dumb like warwolf belt. Getting swift belt might be an easy fight, but there's still an ass load of legwork to it if you're new to the game and haven't cleared CoP years ago. Headlong is a solid option that is available to everyone.

Judging from the guy wearing NQ AF3 armor, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he's relatively new, and probably doesn't have Shinryu access.

The rest of his ass is gimp as fuck, but the Headlong Belt is not the issue here.

As a new BST, this bothers me a bit. You could very well be complaining about me (if I were on your server)! I usually go DNC to dynamis, but that's when I've got some company. I would take BST if I wanted to go solo, but the job is still new to me and I don't quite have the gear where I want it.

Regarding armor, I don't have emp +1. I use ocelomeh headpiece, hauberk +1, Brego gloves, twilight belt, perle legs (I think), and ryuga sune-ate in the feet slot. I would like to get +1/+2 emp armor, but other job's armor just seem to be more important to upgrade and work on before I gear a job that I plan to use primarily for solo purposes. If I were going to work on pieces to +1/+2, which should I focus on first?

As for axes, if I'm fighting alongside my pet, I use 2x doom tabars that I bought with dominion notes (I think these augments are better than what you can find in a gold box) that have just as much DPS as most of the other axes on the AH. I have other axes that I use if I'm just watching, but I haven't finished my astolfo's yet and where those axes currently are on the upgrade path makes their DPS crappy and don't give any benefit to my pet (I don't think 2 or 3% pet -pdt is worth it for the sacrifice in damage output). What axes should I be using?

I hate using my BST for anything 'cause my gear is crap, but I need to spend time on the job to get better at it, too. What is a new BST to do?!

Getting sky warp was epic. I remember the rush I'd have to go through to make sure i made it to sky to get in order to get in a party, and running through Zi'tah. After getting the warp, psshh...

In my defence as a perle bst.

I only wear it because the route I originally planned to take osode/kitty pants. I never quite got round to getting them. I try and avoid pick up groups. I had a headlong belt for so long I actually forgot it was a headlong and not a swift. I went 0/18 on bst fighting Balor for my swift and 0/20 on Balor as a dnc. Eventually I got my friend a 95 Thf to come and lay some TH down for me. Which resulted in 5 hours of farming a codex just the one for some reason the game didnt like me. But when I did get one I finally popped Balor and got my swift. in all honesty I notice aboslutely no differecne between the two belts regarding haste, The acc - makes me think I should of stuck with headlong.

I have base sets of ferine gear but I would only wear them for show/town gear.
Most people like me are just making the best of a bad situation. My bst has never been burned but my only decent gear options at the moment are the same as the bandwagon bsts.
We should be thankful they are at least wearing equipment with a broad range of valuable stats and taking a shot at those that still run around in standard af gear. That stuff is mainly switch in - ability - switch out.

So currently my peeve is being percieved as a bandwagon bst.
This will soon change but it still sucks I went 1-82 purely solo. No Fov, Gov, campaign or astral burns. I just dont like that I'm grouped with people that maxed out bst by being afk.

For the record. I don’t have a problem with people Bandwagoning jobs. I think it’s all too common now to criticize it. I too have bandwagon jobs.
By all means play whatever job you want to play. But at least put some damn effort into it…(and that’s not meant for any of you specifically).

For swift belt specifically (which I’d probably also frown upon), I don’t find CoP ‘leg work’ a viable excuse. Seeing as getting access to Sacrarium is only 2 missions after getting access to CoP Dynamis. Farming a Codex and having shitty luck on the NM….i guess I can understand that.

And as for newer players? You generally don’t find them soloing in Dyanmis-Valk.

That’s a fine excuse for the belt, but as far as NQ af3…If one has the time to hit Abyssea and get curor, dominion points and/or resistance credits for the emp armor…he certainly has time to find pearl gear on the AH.

Ok let’s dig into this a little bit. I said I could live with Pearl. It’s not the best, certainly not the worst. It’s by far better than NQ emp. My paragraph structure is poor, I’ll admit that. The ‘to lazy to get emp+1’ comment was more directed at someone wearing Emp armor +0. I mean…why would you do that? For looks?

While I’m no expert, I don’t see issues with the other gear you listed. Sure it can be improved…but EVERYONES set can be improved. At least you’re not using anything horribly outdated. So your ROM APPROVED…for now

For +1/+2. I say legs first. For Stout Servant and I think a good chunk of haste. After that…I have no preference on order. While body is nice, I don’t find it that great anymore if you merit Killer Instinct. Maybe get that last for fun. I think I swap in Hands/Legs/Feet +2 for Ruintor (+Str). So get those in no specific order.

As for Axes…
I can look past Doom Tabars if you’re working on other ToM ones. I just see them way too often. And most have bad augments.

Again, if you’re taking the steps to make your Bst look better, then I have nothing against you. Keep doing what you’re doing and keep up the good work.
If you bandwagoned Bst just to get a non-guttler relic and you geared it with the bare minimum. I’m gonna ask you kindly to stop soloing 3 dynamis mobs a a time. your slowing EVERYONE down…including yourself.

…huh? Maybe I read this wrong. You get +Acc, and –Atk with swift.
And you’re not going to notice 1% difference in haste. Hell you might not even notice 15% haste difference with the naked eye. Point is though, there’s plenty of evidence out there that more haste is important (till you hit the cap of course).

Nothing against you having only NQ ferine for show/town. But that changes if I see you wearing that in dynamis.

Is it really worth all the trouble for 1-2% increase in DPS? I'm pretty out of touch with the game right now but I would bet that someone with inadequate gear can make much bigger improvements with the time it would take to farm a Swift Belt.
