Drop rates are ass and when you finally get something cool that you won't ever use but your friend has been dying to get their hands on there's no communal loot pool so you have no way to give said shiny piece of loot to your friend. That's for the once in a blue moon occasion where you aren't just getting more goddamn logs.

Voidwatch loot system is fine on paper, but SE cocked up the execution.

Bonus Peeve: My COR.xml is buggered all to hell. Aftercast sets aren't working properly on some stuff. Debugging while camping an NM is just awful.

Not exactly a peeve since it hasn't happened much until this weekend. I joined a VW Windy 1-4 PUG and right when we got our 14th member the stupid fucking leader(s) decided to switch the whole thing over to Bastok. I still need Basty but I didn't have the time to wait for them to come up with another freaking alliance from scratch and everyone disbanded and expressed their displeasure as I believe they'd been setting it up for around 30-45min at the time of switching. I'm pretty new to VW.. is this a regular occurence? People switching completely after getting more than two parties formed?

No It’s not. It did happen to me once but that was because it was a LS doing it for members and they allowed me to tag along. Fortunately I needed both paths so it worked out. We only rolled with about 9 peeps. They didn’t even bother shouting. Which was nice because they were fairly organized and we didn’t have to wait for randoms to gear up. I can’t imagine why it would happen in a PUG though…people join those for specific reasons lol.

They may have chosen basty instead because one of the KIs from there allows you to earn stones a little faster…but it’s from the T1 so…not sure if it’s worth changing the whole path for it.

As far as the loot system…I personally don’t think it’s horrible but it can definitely use a tune-up (which from what I understand, it might be getting).
It’s basically after a battle there is a chest. Everyone clicks on the chest and gets their own loot specific loot pool.

YOU typically get various types of lumber/rocks. While friends, newbies and mules will get good stuff. Mostly all r/ex/non-tradeable even between mules…aka: a waste…

From what I’ve been reading/hearing. They are looking into adding specific ‘tickets’ (such as Toci Ticket (made up name)) that people can get ‘IF’ they already have the Toci piece.

These Tickets are bazaarable. You can purchase the Toci Piece with 5 (made up number) tickets.
So basically instead of dropping gear one already has obtained, they can convert it to a ticket and sell it.

Is it the best idea?? No…
Is it better then the current system?? I guess…

Interesting way to go about it. Interesting and needlessly complex yet better than the system as it stands. Wonder if you get "tickets" if you get another Black Rock or Petrified Log. So you have to keep a cache of the crap-loot so the random number monster recognizes you already have it and gives you a ticket.

For example: 5 Petrified Log Tickets equal a Dragon Meat Ticket and 5 Dragon Meat Tickets equal a gear piece ticket... and so on... or maybe nobody knows yet... not even SE.

Except people aren't going to hang onto gear they can't or won't use. So niche items of considerably less value(like that PUP ammo) won't really reach circulation. Meanwhile, the folks who get their super rare pieces to drop are gonna then run the hell away from the fight that drops it, so there won't be many body tickets in circulation either. Couple that with people's tendency to send stuff to their mule and those potential tickets are gonna have a portion turning into duplicate body pieces. I see the influx of tickets being underwhelming and ultimately not fixing the issue. SE like overly complicated non-solutions to relatively simple problems and it is infuriating.

I actually found the lower level gear of Kamp gear for my war & pld hard to get, infact I still can't get hold of the feet and now I'm past the use of it so will be selling the other bits once I ding 43 on my pld. Also I am finding it hard to get shields like Jennet and heater, have been checking AH for 2 weeks and not a single of each has appeared. managed to grab a lvl 50 one but thats all so will have to make do with kite till lvl 50. It is also the same with great swords yesterday there were only 6 types of GS in the whole auction house on sale.

In my limited experience with GS, most of the best ones are rare/ex and drop off mobs. I hardly ever see any AH'd GS on anyone... even back in the day when the AH was used for things below level 50.

Mines right now is that i sent me the email in order to pay my overdue fees last night and as of yet i have not received it with the link to direct me to the payment page... if dont get it when i get home i guess ill have to type it directly into my browser so i can start what i expect to be hell-multi-hours update so i can play again... Peeve: Got together a pick up group to kill all 3 of the ToAU Mega Bosses last weekend. We tried to go to Gulool Ja Ja first, but he wasn't up and we wound up wasting our keys before realizing that you could just use WS to see through the door.

Thankfully, the group stayed together and we decided to try for the other 2. We wound up getting the kills for Medusa and Gulfurlur.

Its now 5 days and 2 maintenances later. I've checked the door as WHM/RNG with WS every couple of hours and haven't seen him yet. To top it off, there's so little information about any of them on the wiki or on BG that it makes it impossible for me to even remotely figure out a pop time.

All I want is to kill this SoB and be done with all 3 of them.

Sucks Yyg. Coulda sworn it had something to do with the outcomes of besieged, but at the end of the day, I haven’t the foggiest clue.

If you don’t want to read my semi boring rant, the TL;DR version is: I don’t like skilling up with multiple people.

pet peeve: Skilling up with another person.

I was skilling up dagger and club last night (finished dagger, yaaay) and a LS friend asked if he could join to skill up his Smn magic. I personally felt that when I skilled smn, the fastest way was BPing oppose to calling/dismissing. So I said surrrrrreee. Come on down.

Now when I skill up, I stack on as much double/triple attack, Haste & Regen as I can. Atmas I go with are Apoc/MC/ and either MM (if I /whm) or Cloak&dagger (if I /dnc).
-Apoc for more swings
-MC to minimize self curing
-Cloak/dagger to land more hits when DWing, MM for Refresh for Haste/cures

Goal for me is to get as many hits in as I can. As you can see I avoid the powerful atmas such as RR/SS/VV…etc. I also shoot for weaker multi hit WS for more swings.

Unfortunately I think my friend confused ‘skilling up’ with ‘zerging’. He put on 1 refresh atma and 2 strong MAB atmas. And pretty much used Merited BPs taking off 75%+ hp of the mobs were fighting…which is awesome when I have a low skill to begin with and I can hardly hit my targets. So I barely land any hits before the mob dies.

2nd pet peeve: Skilling up with 2 or more other people:
I eventually get my smn friend to tone it down a notch. He switches atmas and uses more Wards and more weaker Rages. Another member sees what we’re doing and asks to join. He’s a burnt Bst. NP…I love Bst…and I *enjoy the company* of my LS members. Surrrreee, come on down.

The first NO NO…he’s using a turtle jug. It does decent damage and it’s expensive…when in reality, you shouldn’t even call a pet for this situation.

Second NO NO…he’s not skilling, he’s trying to unlock Primal Rend (mythic WS). So he needs to skillchain. And he needs light/dark skill chains because they give 5 points.

My skilling went from a crawl to a border line stop…
