I botted endgame for eight months.

Lets try not to promote bannable offences, shall we? It shouldn't matter how frequently or infrequently SE actually enforces the rules... fact of the matter is, what you're proudly stating that you've done is blatantly against them. I prefer not to even positively promote Windower if at all possible. It's perfectly OK to discuss their existence... but could you let up on the "I totally got away with it" stuff? There are still people on these forums who are new or returning.

I was only using it to illustrate my point. SE does not, and did not ever care, for all the "big talk" they had against third party programs. Everyone should know by now that anything you do is at the risk of your account and that yes, you can get banned, but you can also get banned for gardening or changing your credit card, so no matter what you do (or do not do) your account isn't 100% safe. That's what I'm trying to get across.

But I can keep Windower and other such talk in threads related to them if that's what you want, it was just never a problem before. SAWWY (but I think you're just mad because you can't spell "gigolo." Sucks not being able to spell your job!)

Not trying to be a smartass or anything, but why did you wait so long?

Some friends wanted me to join them. This was when the World Pass was required to be with them. I joined, but they were too busy doing "end game" stuff, so I did what I could by responding to shouts and such, and wasn't familiar with wiki at the time.

Some folks sent me a random tell to come help with something, but the leader kicked me due to how long it would take me to walk to the destination. Later, while in a Wajaom (spelling) Woodland xp party, when it was done (and I was capped at 55), someone in that party listed all the steps I needed to get Chocobo access while they were all talking about things they needed to help their friends with.

If you took that as bragging, I apologize, but it's not what I meant, again, I was using it to illustrate a point. I already apologized once, there isn't really a need to beat me up for it, I didn't know that the rules had shifted. I don't need to be told more than once and I am not a child. I said I would stop it, and I will.

Hey, I started out mopping the floor just like you guys. But now... now I'm washing lettuce. Soon I'll be on fries; then the grill. And pretty soon, I'll make assistant manager, and that's when the big bucks start rolling in.

Not exactly a peeve... just shittiness. I haven't really logged in for a very long time and only a couple of times recently at all... and I found out yesterday that one of the only original FFxi friends that I have played with for years quit the game. Was really looking forward to hanging with him again.

Yeah... I actually have ways to contact this guy. Thank goodness for Facebook and Guildwork, I guess. Think I may even have his phone number, lol. I think his family duties are just getting to be too much to rationalize spending hours upon hours in FFxi. Totally understandable.

People who suck at /dnc.

This guy kept dying the other day to –ga spells. Which is what you would expect to happen if you don’t …
A) Run out of range
B) Stun the spell with finishing moves

Regarding A. This was a pet fight and our target didn’t have any sort of fast cast. So the NM is beating on my pet and begins to cast Aeraga IV (or maybe it was III…but whatever). The guy saw me running out of range at least 3 times. Not once did he move…just kept hacking away…He got hit with every spell…I got hit with none. He died about 4 times…I didn’t at all. Neither of us ever had hate either, was all on the pet.

Regarding B. Since he clearly wouldn’t run out of range I told him make a stun macro if he’s /dnc…'ok, i'll try that' he says. Normally I would have stunned but this particular time I went /nin. So he makes a macro and what does he do?? Stuns Slowa…stuns silencga…stuns Aero IV ON MY GD WIND RESISTANT PET. What happens when Aeroga IV ( or was it III) comes? His stun timer isn’t ready nor does he run out of range. He dies and then rages about it.

This Bastion thing is pretty fun ain't it? You go there and wait for a random amount of time, then the battle ends before you can even reach the martello thing from where the Prefect is. Then you wait another random amount of time and have it end again on you in like 1 minute.

Yup, that was an hour filled with fun and excitement I tell ya.

So much fun, right?

Know what FFXI needs IMHO? A non stop battle, that any level can do. The longer you spend in it, and the more stuff you do (Not just attack, heal, and the like, but collect stuff from NPCs, and give it to others.), the more experience you get. No more just standing around doing nothing, there will always be something for you to do there. Its a non stop battle between the NPCs, and Beastmen.
