My hours have changed at work... as a result. I am now free from 7:00am-11:00am EST from Tuesday-Friday and 9:00pm-Midnight on the same days. I will also have Saturday and Sunday available all day on an "on call" sort of schedule.

Monday I wont be online at all.

I think our time zones are slightly different but if you’re on from 9pm-12am. There’s a good chance we’ll hang out...a lot. I’m usually on weeknights from 8ish - whenever I’m tired (generally 11 or 12). and i can assure you, i have no plans to take a break (or quit ; ; )

Romyro: Which 85 Emp did he get? Because most of them are still incredibly useful at 85. Unless it's just something he can't even equip on his new "main" job, at which point he's an asshole.

He has a Kanniga or whatever its called (Nin/Kanata). I dunno…maybe I’m just bitter because I helped with some helms/skins and all I got in return was him joining me for MAYBE 2 dynamis-xarc runs (which im convinced he only came to get thf hands).

I didn’t really ask for much help on guttler. I do have 2 good LS mates that were HUGE contributors but I never complained if they were doing other things or simply didn’t want to go.

I just think even with the ease of dynamis, a relic is still a lot of work to ask of people vs an emp (due to the 2hr time restraint). And a lot of times people don’t mind Emps because they can get something out of it.

The 85 Kannagi really isn't bad. But if he's not going to be on NIN much that sucks that he'd level it and then abandon it. Someone else in the LS could have actually made use of it.

Yyg, if you do decide to jump over. Look for Me (romyro), Rookieguy or Saboro. There’s a bunch of others but I can’t spell there names right atm ><. Just tell em Rom said to pearl ya.

Oh, and don’t mind Saboro in LS/Party chat. He’s a jackass at heart but honestly quite a skilled/respectful player. A lot of people over the years dropped pearls because of him but most felt his arguments were justified (calls people out if they don’t return big favors, actually cares about the LS, calls out people who get things then disappear for long periods of time…etc). Which is probably why me or previous shell leaders never broke his pearl lol.

If you decide to join squiggs or neverslips shell instead, just make sure you send me a /tell once in a while to hang out ^^. I’d actually love to see Squiggs and Never my shell but…I think Squiggs is a leader in his and Never seems to have found a comfortable home.

Keep in mind though were very laid back. We don’t really plan events…they kinda just happen. One day we’ll have a huge group farming Bukhis KIs…the next few days everyone will be doing their own thing. We may have 15-20+ members but a lot of us split up into groups of 2-4 and do our own thing. If people want to join, we don’t deny them.

I’ll probably recruit you to the Me, Rook and Ariuss clique. Doing Alfard pops now but we can merge your emp in there too. Just let me know what KIs you need and I can get them ready ahead of time.

Maybe ‘abandon’ is too strong of a word. I mean he’ll still play Nin and it’s not like he’s dropping any of his gear. And if he doesn’t want to take the katana to 90+ that’s his choice. It’s just disrespectful to the shell (in my eyes at least) to burn a job then request help on a relic for it when other people could use the help.

We had a member quit after we got him the MNK empy... kinda bitter even though he was obnoxiously unknowledgable and always said things were easy to solo but always counted duoboxing his wife's WHM as "soloing". That PoS mandy NM in Tahrongi was an absolute pain in the ass to spam...

I'd love to be in "Fun with Jugs" ... that name always makes me LOL. But I've done painted myself in a corner that traps me away from FFxi for the time... doing social media for a haunted cornfield (paid), got a girlfriend (opposite of paid), bought Gears 3, Ico/SotC, and Dark Souls and Skyrim is coming out... I'm freakishly busy and it's all my own damn fault.. . If only I didn't have such a giant cock....

No no no. You use Gain-STR and Temper so you can make a strength check and combine two rolls when the double attack procs.

All the lock picking in the world won't get back the 1 mil I paid for Temper. What? I got impatient. Was worried it would never go down and, in fact, go up when the love affair with Walk of Echoes was over. People I talked to predicted that Calmecac Trousers would go down in price as time went on and people do more KCNM. Months later, it has over doubled in price to about 2mil. Lucky I got mine for about 750K.

Really, right now I'm thinking my Pet Peeve is my linkshell leader whose classless behavior went and drove away roughly half the linkshell, reducing us to a group so small we struggle to find numbers for to do events.

- Started with an Empyrean weapon static he was with within the linkshell. He finishes his Kannagi and lo, suddenly he's less interested in completing the weapons for the rest of his group. Gets into a heated argument with one member over chat. She leaves. Some 5-10 members follow.
- Warped II'd a linkshell member that outlotted him for- wait for it- a Suzaku seal. Which prompted said linkshell member to hijack his boyfriend's computer next to him and Warp II'd the leader out. Leader responds by breaking their shells. Some 2 or 3 other members leave with them.
- Then there are the few that just gradually drifted out along the way, often privately citing disagreements with the linkshell leader's attitude over /tell.

To try and foster interest in doing stuff again, he made a big bold statement in linkshell that he would be organizing it so the rest of the people who don't yet have Empyrean weapons will get one. Odd...he seems curiously absent the last few days.

Now, we want to do Voidwatch and have to cancel just because 2 or 3 members can't make it. What a shame too. Back when Abyssea was new and we had, y'know, numbers, we really got things done as a group.

I must have like the best event shell ever or something then. We're usually running around with full alliances, building Empyreans, demolishing Voidwatch and all without so much as a hint of drama.

I'm seconding Yyg on digging the new avatar. We need a high resolution version of that because it looks totally awesome.

You know how people say they love porn so long as it's not in HD? This is kind of like that. Up close, you can really see the polygons and pixels...

Pretty as all the new effects of spells and abilities are, sometimes I see them and feel as though they don't mesh with the...I dunno...sensibilities of Final Fantasy XI. Even new gear. I swear, the BLM Empyrean armor looks like it belongs in XIV. Not XI.

Had no idea. I do remember a lot of ruffled feathers in regards to quite a few people in my shell... specifics escape me these days. It's ancient history.
