My peeve in FFXI: People who play FFXI who can't say anything good about FFXI. Seriously... if it pisses you off that much, don't play it. Paying to do something you don't enjoy is like paying someone to punch you in the nose... and then to go online and say "MAN! I HATE ALL THESE THINGS ABOUT BEING PUNCHED IN THE NOSE! Abyssea is not the cause of people being shitty at FFXI.

A significant number of the population has always sucked at FFXI.

All Abyssea did was let them, like everybody else, get to endgame faster.

I didn’t necessarily mean it was Abyssea’s fault. More that’s the only place they experienced that job and had the luxury of insane refresh atmas.

I just hope he learned something from the event…because at this point, I do not trust him as my whm in any outside-abyssea situation.

If anything it's more like Abyssea made it harder to tell bad players from good ones based on customary measures of achievement.

There's a very basic level at which I suspect they offered some sort of guidance. If nothing else they were small enough groups that you would get yelled at for doing dumb shit like not resting until you were completely out of mp.

On the other hand, stupid players will always be stupid and it doesn't matter if they leveled in Abyssea or Crab Fantasy XI.

Peeve reiterated: Apparently my account got cancelled because I didn't have enough Crysta to make the payment. I'm still not thrilled that I have to put Crysta on my account every couple of months. But my main peeve is that they call it a recurring payment. Yes, its recurring if you remember to Crysta on your account, but you can't just buy the Crysta on a recurring basis. (ClickandBuy won't recognize my credit card, otherwise I would have tried that way)

As I put in another post, I'm not happy with Click and Buy. They temporarily disabled my account because I never verified my Debit Card (you know, when you have to link your bank account to it, and the whole process of sending/retrieving/confirming a deposit) within 60 days.

Been happy, actually, with paying with Crysta. Have to put Crysta in there in advance, but it's better (to me) this way that verifiying my Debit Card.

I never had a single problem with Click and Buy... Im not sure what everyone has against their service. Is there a bigger reason people don't use it that I'm not aware of?

Only problem I have is that they couldn't verify my card. Even though I ended up using the same card to sign up for PayPal and now to buy the Crysta direct.

Side question: How long after I put the Crysta in the account until it is reactivated. I'm at work and can't sign on, but I tried logging onto the LS community site and it said I didn't have an active Content ID? Did I miss a step?

I believe you have to go into POL and manually re-activate the account if it has been taken offline for failure to pay. That happened to me once. They don't just automatically start charging your account again just because you have money in it. You have to actually manually grant them permission again.
