Not specific to FFXI, but it's the only game I play: My XBL account got hacked. I'll have to transfer my account to another gamertag tomorrow (and find out how to do that). Just ruined my night.

Update, but still a peeve. I get on the chat support and the problem got handled but the conversation went something like this:

Agent: Thank you for contacting Square Enix support. Please hold while I review your question.
Me: Okay
(7 Minutes Later) Agent: Unfortunately, the information provided is not sufficient to verify your account. Is there anything else I can help you with?
Me: Wait, what? What other information do you need?
Me: I filled in everything except my start date and activation code. I can give you an approximate start date and might be able to find the activation code when I get home. Do you want my SE account info?
(10 Minutes Later) Agent: Please hold while I look into your issue.
(2 second later) Agent: Okay I'm back.
(1 second later) Agent: The Gamertag has been removed. Is there anything I can help you with?
Me: What changed while you were gone? I didn't give you any other information.
(10 Minutes Later) Me: Well thank you anyway. Have a nice day.
(2 seconds later) Agent: Thank you for contacting...

I guess the stock answer is to tell everyone to fuck off first (like the insurance company in The Rainmaker), and then if they press the issue, begrudingly help.

I've not heard very much of hacked XBL accts until this. That is super sucky... glad it worked out in the end for ya. I'd like to know how your interactoin with M$ goes as well.

When I called them last night, I was expecting the worst. I was on hold for all of 20 seconds before I got through. It took a second for me to remember which credit card I put it on, but after that it was smooth. I did have to change gamertags (see above), but as soon as something fishy showed up on my account, they shut it down. Something fishy for my account is pretty much any activity that isn't FFXI. I had to ask the guy what Microsoft points are used for. The account is locked pending investigation (up to 25 days, which, actually, is the same timeframe it takes for them to locate a lost XBox). I don't have any interest in a gamerscore, so I will probably just stay with the Gtag that I have to save myself any more trouble in the future.

Quadav Backscale for my limit break item. Oh lovely, I can only get those in dungeons. You know, those places where mobs take 15 minutes to respawn. And everyone's camping them.

Dangruf Wadi is a GoV area, so you can get it from goblins there, and they repop in 5 mins.

Not finished the download yet, and won't get a chance till tomorrow, but I just looked at the limit break quest. I definitely didn't have one of those ready.

I dropped into Yughott Grotto as blu/thf and got my Orcish armor plate for the limit break plus jobemote items for war, whm and sch in less than a dozen kills. Two people were leaving as I arrived and someone else got there as I was finishing up, but otherwise no competition.

Today's peeve is more of a "Doh... I'm a dumbass".

My item for the limit break was Yagudo Caulk... which... aside from being ticked off that I had dropped one after a recent visit through Giddeus for Windy Missions... I had other moments of aggrivation.

I read on wiki that I needed to go to either the Horrototto Ruins or to Giddeus for the item... and so where did I instinctively go? Castle Ostrich. Why? Beause I saw "Drops off of Yagudo X, Y and Z" and instantly assumed that the castle was my destination. I went so far as to climb the whole castle and walk into the throne room before I got fed up enough with my lack of results to re-check the wiki.
