SMN Staff Trials. Especially the one I'm on now for Garuda's Staff. It's asking me to kill 150 Undead... with a finishing move that's Wind based. Wind based? Oh hurray! Garuda can do those! owait... only once every 45 seconds.... and single-target. Awsome.

Hey lago... don't suppose you can cleave any undead for me with a wind based BLU spell... or nuke a whole ton of of them with your BLM for me... could you?

I don't think there's a wind-based blue magic that's any good for cleaving, but I can help you cap azure for ISLs and/or revits and mass pull stuff for you to aerial blast.

I didnt think to use Aerial Blast. I suppose that if you could use one of your high damage AoE spells to bring everything down to around 10-20%, I could finish with Aerial blast. This would work.

My only concern is that it's hard to pick an undead mob that wouldn't be a complete pain in the ass to pull in large numbers.

Any ideas?

Schnitters in Attohwa. Large number of them and they don't cast.

Fine. Then tell me what I should be beating on. I went for spiders, and that group I was WHM for later went for tigers (paralyze spam), which doesn't seem like a good solo mob.

Caveat: Rabbits don't amber, so you'll have to bulid light on something else, but if you stick to rabbits you won't have to worry about screwing up your amber

I would have suggested rabbits as well once you built amber, which is easy since Ramuh roams that area. They don’t link/agro but if you’re edging, you’re bound to hit a couple.

WTF? Do you have the boards set to e-mail you new messages in this thread when posted or what? Look six messages up from what you posted and check what I edited it to twenty minutes later, three days before your reply.

I do get the emails and I only check the site when I’m at work. And I don’t refresh every 10 minutes because…I’m working. There’s days were I’ll have conversations and check more often but it’s here and there. So I’ll apologize for not going back and looking it over your edit.

You talk as though I was given /DNC in the mail three years ago. I only recently leveled it and am still learning it. Also, when I solo I like to take it easy, serious is for real life shit or at least when other people are depending on you to do your part.

Dnc has been around a long time and its lvl 57 in your siguaure. Therefore, i figured you knew the functions of at least subjob level. I don’t know when you leveled it or how ‘experienced’ you are with it. My point was, you can get AE with /dnc and it’s a great sub for pup. And you can use the JAs to help manipulate what you want your puppet to do.
I don’t care what or how you spend your time. That’s your business. I was simply giving you a suggestion for farming feet (or any goldbox item for that manner) and you shot it down. It’s one thing to say, “I tried it and it didn’t work for me” and it’s another thing to say “Pup is not (‘not’ was bolded) good for amber…blah blah blah only under certain conditions…blah blah gimps damage…etc.” When…you really didn’t try it correctly.

My inventory is always too near full and I basically don't care enough about getting the feet anymore, and yes I'm cheap, ok? I want the higher craft skills to make the vivified mythril for RR earrings more than those stupid feet. I'd rather level other jobs right now than get on the gear upgrade rat race. And I don't need to farm gold boxes for their own sake, because I have more than enough gil these days, since I hardly spend it and have over 170K IS which would sell for a couple of million gil in imperial coins.

Again, I was offering you a suggestion on feet farming. It was a friendly gesture. If you don’t want the feet anymore, then feel free not to take my suggestion, all I’m saying is don’t shoot it down because it didn’t work as well for you. If you don’t want to buy RR items…don’t. I buy them and use them sparingly for shit like solo dynamis. I personally don’t use them in abyssea since whms run past every 5 minutes should I happen to die.

First draft or not, you still originally posted it, therefore I still felt insulted. I appreciate that you edited and that softened the blow, but unfortunately I still saw it. I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know everything about Bst and Pup but I’m very serious about those jobs and if I’m doing something wrong, I research and fix it. It’s very annoying when someone implies I don’t know the basics about those 2 jobs. You want to make fun of my Nin/Whm/Blm/Brd and I guess now Smn…go right ahead.

150 yalms to the NE; so I go that (approx.)
20 yalms to the E
7 yalms to the SW
5 yalms to the N

And then I go 0fer on my first 15 kills to get the upgraded abyssite.

Yeah... VNMs are kinda a pain. Especially the t2's, imo. Nothing like going after Chione to find that there are 4-5 groups all competing for that damn thing and only going after it to change their abyssite. All I want is one more SAM body seal!!!!

Also... I started killing t1's last night for pearl to attempt my first CWburn... side note I wasn't thinking rationally and ran out of time cuz I didn't go for azure first, lol/cry ... anyway I'm killing the t1's in the area between flux 1 and 2. I kill like 2 then I come across 2 people popping and killing 2 at once. I /s "{Team up??} {light} {Yes, please}" No response. The only ones up are the ones they have popped. I keep /rest'n and after one of theirs dies, another comes up on my 'v-dar', so I chase it down. I'm in a race for it w/ one of them and I end up getting it. Then I get a bunch of /stares and /shake ... when these two just pulled 2 at once and weren't willing to team up... needless to say I color'd up after that and had to get another abyssite.

I was in LTP doing it with a buddy, solely for the purpose of getting the Serpentes shoes from the T2. We popped one T2 before my daughter woke up fighting mad. Needless to say, that was the end of my night. I was DNC and he was THF. Tonight, we'll prob try again with DNC x2 and my buddy on his WAR for proccing.

Why must Athamas be so damned greedy? I have finished MNK legs, and am well on my way to finishing THF and DNC, but NIN? I have three. THREE!

When I did Athamas a couple weeks ago, we got 9 claims in a row. We procced on 8 out of 9 and I never saw a DNC seal drop. MNK was the most common also.

I have procced all of one time on this dude. It's never NIN when I need it to be. Hell, yesterday I was doing Upas-Kamuy with three folks to get seals for BLU. We had a BLM and a BLU and a NIN, and what was it 9/10 times? BRD. OF COURSE.
