WHM is going to get Addle the next update...great. So I log on last night with the intent to buy a scroll. The price was 5k yesterday morning, but has already jumped up to 20k. I'm not rich, but I can afford that. So I hit the AH to buy and an error comes up (something about a lobby server). I wasn't able to sign back on at all last night, and probably won't be able to today as the price pushes up to 30k. Just bad luck, that's all.

Same thing is happening to Reraise 3, Bliz 5 and Fire 5. I'm sure R3 will go up to 2 mil sooner than later.

Yeah, and I JUST sold a RR3 for 6k. Ugh. However, they are an easy drop in Terrigan, so I may have found a way to make some gil, if it continues to rise.

Now, now, Cid. The trick is obviously to be the other people in the party, who always seem to get at least some of their seals. I went on a Minax Bugard run the other day, and while the COR MNK and PLD were getting seals left and right, not a single NIN dropped. Of course.

If you figure out how to be the other people while still getting seals for the job you want, let me know. :/

People who ask for help on missions and won't even prepare properly.

Helping someone (from the LS!) with Windurst 6-2. I asked if he had the Judgment Key and he said yes. Head out to Giddeus, then guy asks if he should have talked to the Star Sybil. Er... yes? Other guy was already in Walls.

Get to the BCNM, go in, and wait for other guy to show up. About two minutes later I ask if he's coming. Then he says he can't get in and starts copypasta-ing lines from the Wiki page. Turns out he had already done the first fight, and you can't get back in until you finish the mission. I also have a feeling this was yet another peeve of mine, that of people who assume everyone in the party is on vent with you. So they never say anything in chat.

Then we get to Castle Oz, still waiting for other guy, he DCs and we have to wait more. Still no problem. When we get in, he runs ahead and is at the trap door fingering a handle. I tell him to move away, I know how to do it. (Pull the handle and RUN AWAY before the trap door opens, duh.) He pulls the handle and falls. I /sigh. A minute later I'm still waiting for them to come in and find out Other Guy has dropped party, and vent. Apparently he got in a snit about something. Or he couldn't deal with someone saying "I told you so", which I wasn't going to do anyhow.

Make the run to the top and find Other Guy among people farming yags up there. And there was another group wanting to get through, so the torches were already getting popped. So anyhow, we get down, I don't know what Other Guy was doing, but I wasn't able to target him in the code room. Then we go down (other group opened it), find the NM missing, and run straight to the door.

First Guy casts invisible. Then he says the door is locked. I say trade the key (duh).

He. Left. The. Key. In. His. Mog. House. Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot.

Then a few minutes later when I'm waiting for him to get the key, he says he's gotta go for dyna. (yet another peeve, people who spam dyna as often as they can, and I'm surprised coin prices held after the patch)

All this when I really needed to leave to go somewhere but could wait to leave until tomorrow morning, so I didn't say anything. At least an hour wasted on this crap. I don't mind helping people on missions, but damn, this is one I could have soloed myself. (Both guys have 90 jobs, but I'm particularly good at hacking that code door.)

Yeah, I thought that was kinda crappy until I had to do them outside. One hour respawn in each of four zones rather than 12 minutes in one, so you have to be warping all over Vana'diel, marching around huge zones getting no reading instead of popping to each conflux, and then when you finally pop one there's a 50/50 chance it's one you don't want, which will of course upgrade your abyssite. God VNMs suck.

So I am in this Party last night getting my Creed Gear +1 legs. My LS mate and I find a Pt to alliance with. We then end up going into the same pt so we can make it easiet. they had a nin, thf, and a whm. so the total pt ended up looking like this.

nin, dnc, thf, whm, blm. Not a bad set up we only needed to proc yelllow their whm was whm/rdm. I was blm/whm due to we thought we were going to have to solo so we needed the extra healing with Cure IV instead of the Dispel spell from rdm. Any way. Every time dark would come up I would have to tell the whm to cast dispel. Which they never did. Then when light would pop up I couldn't get the whm to cast a damn spell. I would have to cast them but I didn't have holly or banish 3. So procking was a bitch. Then on top of that I had to keep hasting the nin, thf and dnc since the whm was only castint cure IV's ever now and then. So I was main healer as a blm and main procer. This totally sucked.

I don't have a problem helping out healing or buffing but damn. People need to learn how to play at least a portion of their job. BTW we were all lvl 90.

Paralyze and the price of meds that get rid of it. Maybe I should pick up Alchemy again.

Don't forget that lovely consumed-on-paralysis effect, where your cleansing med gets eaten up, but you still are paralyzed. Unless they ever fixed that.

Even simple crafts are good money makers. As a low level crafter on alchemy I've made a fair few gil with echo drops. With cooking Jack-o lanterns. I imagine there's some other good ones.

Never fixed that. Still happens all the freakin' time... last one that put the fear of god in me about that was my last bundle of shihei. Fuckin' pissed me off. BUT, after I said what happened one of my LS mates gave me two and refused payback. That was pretty sweet.
