I hate the Pink Panther gear... HATE!!! I'd hate it a lot less if it wasn't bright pink. You get very very good stats for as cheap/easy as they are... but damn I hate the design choice. I feel ridiculous in BLU +2 head/body/hands/legs wearing pink booties... I just haven't found the time/team to go out and get my seals for feet yet. I tend to just keep my Mederi Brogues (+6 STR) on.

... I'm also not a fan of berets. Especially pink ones. They work for some... but not my Hume.

I have to say, that bright pink and the novenial set really did not appeal to my sense of aesthetics, especially since I was playing WoW not too long ago and everyone is dressed like neon "XXX LIVE GIRLS INSIDE" signs. They just don't really fit the color pallete of the FFXI I remembered. Guess I got used to it, and people have largely stopped wearing those fugly neon blue-green dresses.

On BLU you should be TPing in Dusk Gloves and Boots anyway. The AF3 hands and feet are for magical spells onry.

If the slow annoys you, macro in something else for when you're not engaged.

Nah... I got Ocelot or Homam for gloves... and yeah... no matter what I'll never go back to movement speed (-) ... I'd rather wear gimpt-PINK. I'd rather attempt to get Homam feets... pretty close to a full set... just missing legs and feet, unfortunatly. Thanks anyway.

Is XP recovered the only thing Raise III has going for it?
Do you get more HP during weakend or anything? Is the casting time shorter? More MP efficient?

Because i couldn't really care less about xp loss these days. Even outside abyssea it's capped shortly after a raise or Home Point.

I've done about 5 Kirins in the last couple months....no drops. So I can understand the price had the spell have more effects.

You wana hear ridiculous? Try 0/46 on Colorful Abyssite. I've killed 46 goddamn T1's and it hasn't changed yet. 30 in tahrongi... 10 in latheine and another 6 or so today in konschtat. THAT... is ridiculous.

Another peeve: Editing my macros on my laptop and PC seperately. I edited a whole macro set for NIN/DNC... NIN/THF...NIN/WAR... COR/RNG... COR/DNC... COR/WAR today... only to remember that yesterday... I did SMN/WHM... SMN/SCH... SMN/BLM and SMN/RDM on my PC at home. Now If I sync them... I'll have to do 1 whole group of them all over again. FML.

I think you can copy over part of your PlayOnline folder so you don't have to update them all manually. I forget which part though, it's been a while since I had to do that.

Dusk is still better than Ocelot and Homam for TP. Especially the +1. But I know a lot of people hate to macro shit out so they're willing to take the performance hit.

Dusk +1, sure... at 1mil, I'll keep my gil for other things than +1 haste. I still think Homam > Dusk NQ for BLU though. Ocelot maybe not.

The main reason for R2 and R3 is lowered XP loss (R3 means 240xp lost instead of 1200xp for R1 or 2400xp for HP), but there is also increased HP recovery, 50% of weakened HP for R3.

Back in the Bad Old Days [tm], R2 and R3 cost more MP than R1, and I think they had the same cast time. Then there was a patch, and they cost the same MP, and had shorter casting times.

But the main use of them when XP is not a concern is when you have to raise multiple people at once, especially in no-loss situations like Besieged and Campaign Battle.

Umm... you know you can save one set on the server, then load them into the other char, right? (unless you're 2-boxing, in which case read on) Not only that, but the macros are in a file somewhere on your hard drive, and if you know which ones, you can just copy them wholesale.

Homam boots are better than NQ Dusk Ledelsons for TP, but Dusk +1 are better than the Homam. I understand gil being a concern, though. I'm hoping something that doesn't have movement speed down comes along because I find it pretty tedious as well.

Glove wise though, the Dusk Gloves to be seem to be better than either Homam or Ocelot for TP. But maybe someone else who wanted to math it out would prove me wrong on that one.
