People have no concept of transitional gear. It's quite silly of them. You can't just jump straight to the best of the best, you have to wear something while you work towards it.

That's because they just duct tape a 2-boxed white mage to their back while doing everything.

The impression I get is that no one gives a crap about transition, so long as you're a warm body that shows up to help them kill whatever they need to kill. Anything below BiS is just an excuse for them to slap you in the face with their epeen.

Anyway, new pet peeve. Doing weather trials, pulling a set of 3 flies in Zhayolm, only to have the weather end before I kill even one of them. Happened twice there, and a few places in other areas.

I don't like that either. I'm killing crabs for a dagger trial in a place where weather doesn't last very long. With a crab's high defense and my dagger's low damage (except for DE), it definitely gets frustrating.

Not much really but got through Beast trial for my +STR sword. On to flans. Wiki lists Mt. Z and one of the Aby's. Thinkin' I'll be trying on the Aby one first. Attempt some mini-Cleave'n as I have not tried to do any yet. Won't be able to do much as they are spellcasters.

Um... maybe I'm outta the loop, but idk what BiS is... illuminate me.

Abyssea is a good place to kill those flans. I ventured out there maybe 4 times iirc to do my Shamshir trial, and there was always at least 3 people out there doing trials on Firesday. Was warned to watch out for the yellow flan NM, (whose name escapes me atm), but it got close to us several times while we were fighting the flans and we never once caught any aggro.

Will be going out with my LS tonight and finally get the mega boss arseface in Graubaurg(sp?) that nobody seems to ever fight. Means I will have all zone kills and I have already got the all 6 cat kills under my belt.

This. Pretty easy to get a team up on this trial. Guimauve is the NM. He doesn't aggro but if you're not careful it's easy to catch him in a Dream Flower (or a Firaja *cough*) as he wanders by.

I thought it was a 2 part process... feed a flan to a "A" then feed the "A" to "B".
