...and the SMN I went in with got his feet in the first chest after we started building lights.

I was in for two 2 hour sessions this morning and nothing. And I did another 2 hour session or two last week, too.


Also, gold chests with temp items. WTF, man.

They're not even difficult, it's just time-consuming because of all the running back and forth.

Another peeve: Red Mages who merit Bio III and then use it to overwrite my Dia III. Seriously, cut that shit out.

A not pet peeve though is that everyone passed on the Smn. Horn-1 (didn't win) that dropped in the lass 60 seconds so it wasn't lost.

And more generally, who have no idea what Bio and Dia do other than DoT. These are usually the same ones who cast their highest protect/shell on lowbies, too.

Not to mention the ones who think that Bio III somehow gives more skillups than Bio I. Nope.

Yeah, but this was from someone who ought to know better by now. ARGLEBLARG!

It just sets off so many warning bells for me when I see a Red Mage cast Bio III in any situation that isn't kiting, and even then it's still generally a waste of merits since Bio III isn't actually better than Bio II unless you go 5/5.

I guess drop rates are my pet peeve for this weekend.

Went to Dynamis-Beacu with my LS to kill my Fomor NM for attest item.
If your not aware, these NMs drop 1 of 3 Attestation items iirc.

Kill 1 – Attestation of Virtue (Staff)
Kill 2 – Attestation of Virtue (Staff)
Kill 3 – Attestation of Virtue (Staff)
Kill 4 – Attestation of Fortitude (Polearm)
Kill 5 – Attestation of Fortitude (Polearm)

I needed Attestation of Bravery.

/sigh…back to farming…

Continued failure by SE. Just did the math on Laeveteinn(90) and even with MAB+50 it's worse than a Magian staff +2. So blm mythic continues to be dominated by easier to acquire items, even after upgrades. GG.

Edit: I should be more specific. If you have more than 42 MAB from gear, which I assume any blm considering pursuing mythic would, then magic affinity +5 > MAB+50. For me, it's actually situational based on moon phase and MP%, but for a level 90 mythic to be situationally better when the moon is low and I have more than 50% mp remaining after cast AND obi+twilight cape apply is still pretty damn pathetic.

Advice that basically amounts to "suck less" when sucking isn't really the issue. I asked some folks what the best situational gear for a slot was, pointing out that I didn't yet have the BiS option, but was working on it, and the only answers I got were "Just get the [BiS Option], it's not hard, so you just need to suck less."

People have no concept of transitional gear. It's quite silly of them. You can't just jump straight to the best of the best, you have to wear something while you work towards it.
