Last night was the first time I'd had an alliance in Basta... and I didn't enjoy it near as much as I did when it was a smaller party. I got out after about 30 minutes and went and helped a LS member farm coffer keys.

You're saying you just pull everything to the book

This is by far the most efficient way to do GoV in that area. Obviously, this is why it's a miracle to get it to happen. And yes, you keep an eye on your own kill counter for the page and go back to the book to get new pages as needed. If you are pulling and killing quickly, you will only really have more mobs than you need on the first go.

That is, it is the most efficient way if you have a DNC, NIN or THF with decently leveled EVA (or a BST puller) and everyone has somewhat appropriate gear. Good luck finding that now.

When the proc is Dispel, or Flash, or Kurayami: Ni, or some strong crit WS, or basically anything you use with actual intent or purpose.

I just proced Lusca twice because I forgot the yellow stagger spell was Dispel and he used Saline Coat or Molluscous Mutation or whatever else it was you have the overwhelming urge to remove.

Right now my pet peeve is my complete and utter cluelessness about NIN. I have no fucking idea what I'm doing, gear-wise.

Right now my biggest issues are what Katana to use until I get either a Kamome or I complete my Magian EVA katanas. Also, what GKT should I use to skill up with. Does it matter? I have Ninja Chainmail, which seems to be a better TP body than Aurore (thank goodness), but I don't know what to swap in for WS other than Hauby, which seems kind of off at this point. What order should I focus on AF3 upgrades? Does it matter? Should I still be working to get a pop for Byakko for the pants he drops? How hard is he? What sets do I need? EVA, Haste, WS (are there different sets for different WS?), Casting, PDT, MDT, etc? I feel like I'm maybe over thinking things, but right now my general damage is awful, and my WS damage isn't that fantastic either.

If I get a chance to talk to you, those are the sort of things I'm wondering.

I don't like that some of the procs are AOE. In some zones & with some mobs, it's not so bad. In others, it's just freakin' annoying -- especially if the spell doesn't land cleanly once or twice or three times... Also annoying when the magic required for proc actually heals the mob. Not such a big deal if you can proc quickly -- but having to cast over and over and over before you get the !! isn't good (except that it keeps the mob long enough for you to try everything a few times).

Super hate when the mob is immune to its proc spell. Earth Threnody vs Chione, for example, or Drain/Aspir vs Kharon.

This. At several NMs today there was a lot of competition. Seems fair to take turns. JP group doesn't want to take turns so we ask how many they are at.
