Re: What's your pet peeve in FFXI?
ã® used as an independent ending is somewhat feminine; although I'll be completely honest and say I use it all the time (when asking questions) and nobody really gives me much shit for it unless I'm being over the top. And people do give me shit when I'm being feminine for the sake of lulz, since they generally agree that I grasp stuff like that. Keep in mind that the gap between male and female speech is closing nowadays-- there are girly things that men don't question, and I've heard plenty of girls using ãžãƒ»ãœ unironically (or at least, as unironically as anyone uses them). While we're on the subjects, heard lots of elementary school boys calling themselves 俺. I always go with ボク, and pretty sure everyone who's ever 'corrected' me on this or questioned it at all was a foreigner. ボク suits me more.
ã®ã‹ is fine. I guess if you really wanted to turn it up to maximum badass, you could go with ã§ããªã„ã‚“ã ãœï¼, but that sounds much less like a query and more like a rhetorical question that you're not serious, to me at least.
Or just cut to the chase and go "{Raise}seyo, <jp-dick>"
