I hate new Dynamis so very very much. One bad wipe and you're done for the night with little to no chance of recovery as mobs repop super fast so they can camp your corpse.

Shitty duos who come in to cleave in Tahrongi while you're trying to cleave yourself to farm empy's. This problem will become moot come this mini update, but my static had to pretty much abandon cleaving as a method to getting KI's in Tahrongi(it's the fastest method really due to how retarded the Tahrongi pop system is)and farm 50 Glavoid Shells and 50+ Chloris buds(need 100 total) the normal way which is extremely time consuming. And with how random KI drops are, 2 people duo cleaving things is just terrible for drops unless you get really lucky.

So apparently Playonline doesn't like my card (the one I've been paying with for years now) anymore.

So my content IDs are disabled. /yay

It may have something to do with the maintenance going on right now, specially considering I get an error even after both my bank and MasterCard ok the verification process when I try to update my payment method.

So, if I can't use this card to play anymore for some reason... then...

Fields of Valor's last update. The way it works now is that although you can undertake however many regimes you want freely, which sounds good on the surface. There is a timer, however, with the length of one whole Vana'diel day, that starts counting down after the completion of your last regime, and unless this timer has expired, then completing a new regime will yield only EXP, and not gil or tabs. Which again, on the surface, sounds fair in the name of game balance.

The peeve, however, comes with the literal interpretation of this part:

completion of your last regime

This means that, regardless of whether a whole Vana'diel day has passed ever since you last received tabs from a regime, if you haven't waited a whole Vana'diel day since the last regime you completed, you get only exp.

"Why don't you play it exactly as you did before the update, then," you ask? I would, except it no longer counts to Vana'diel Midnight any more; a full 24 Vana'diel hours have to pass from the ToD of the last mob I kill of the regime. Strictly speaking, I can start a new regime any time, and so long as I wait the whole Vana'diel day before I get that last kill, then I'll be good. But this suddenly arbitrary waiting game makes me one peeved Tarutaru.

A second peeve is something I found out about an hour or so ago: apparently my Chocobo Wand doesn't count for the purposes of the Chocobo Hot and Cold game. I felt kind of ripped off when I found that out. Oh well.

I ranted about that a couple of weeks ago. I liked being able to pick up a page and then log.

I don't care about the gil rewards, I didn't even realize I was getting them until this change, it's the tabs I want so that I don't have to conserve them so much. And I can accept a limit of one tabs reward per v-day. It's just that now it's much harder to get two pages in quick succession and leave to go do something else, whether from hitting the book at 23:50 or from logging with a page started.

And in a somewhat related note, I just now dinged 30k tabs for the first time.

Yea wouldn’t hurt to check. That actually happened to me a few years ago. Turns out I DID receive a new card in the mail…but I didn’t really look into it. Found it in a drawer shortly after my card expired lol.

I know some people had a similar problem at the beginning of the last billing cycle but were able to get it resolved within a few days. You may need to call them though rather than trying to deal with it online.

Well, I tried.

I called them on the phone and got put on hold (long time) twice before getting mysteriously disconnected. And updating my info online kept failing after my bank and Mastercard said the verification was A-Ok.

Best part is the message you get about contacting your Bank when it's SE the one being stupid.

So no XI for me this weekend, I'll try calling support again on monday... if I'm not playing EVE by then. Freaking SE is really pissing me off lately.
