At this point it's more like Abyssea Burn. I'm KO right now or I'd check, but Kor Tunnel just ain't the happening place any more.

How many keys do you usually need in order to be a whore anyway? How many do people expect you to have going in?

I wouldn't know. I knew I couldn't do it on PS2 (uber lag* when BLUs get going, combined with BRD spells gfx being simultaneous), and I don't have any low level jobs I want to level right now.

But it's not something you can do as a total n00b. You have to at least have been in one high level xp session to get enough keys to start, or find some way to leech long enough to get cruor. Then of course you get cruor along with everybody else, and I don't think it's gimped by level. (EDIT: or I suppose you could do quests that give cruor, but you don't get near as much as you do from exp sessions.)

And it doesn't have to be your first and only job for you to suck in it after being leveled so fast.

*uber lag = 0.5 or less fps, probably because the PS2 gets disk-bound when enough different things are on the screen, and of course your UI goes at that speed too

I feel there should be a lock on anyone who doesn't have a 75+ job in Abyssea. If you don't have a job that is at lvl 75 or higher... Then you get locked....

I wish they had made Abyssea 70+ or 75+ only. Getting sick of trying to put together parties for East Ronafure [S] because everyone is waiting to get an Abyssea party. It's pretty much destroyed it for anyone who actually want's to play the game instead of just AFK it all the way to cap.

I need RDM at 45 to /RDM as a SMN and yet... oh hey... NOONE DOES EXP PARTIES ANYMORE!!!

So here I am as a lvl 12 RDM soling in K. Highlands because Dunes is empty. It's going to take forever to get to 40.

That's also why I left FFXI... I got tired of wanting to level up a low level character then.... Not being able to find a party for it... esp if it was a slow soloer....

There was a huge /shout convo last night in P.Jeuno about how terribly easy FFxi has become... then when someone said it's not easy for a starting player or getting a low lvl job lvl'd people blew that off. I agree to some extent that FFxi has lost a bit of the challenge that made it such an incredibly rewarding experience to get a job to 75 but I wouldn't trade that for some masochistic tendencies some people have. I started just a few months before they increased the amt of xp per mob when solo'n so I remember how painstaking it was when you're starting out and nobody wants you for a party cuz you're a Thf/war w/ no access to advanced jobs... Personally, I am of the opinion they might think of doing that again for the low lvl people. Maybe... Anni Rings being able to be purchased would be a good idea. I don't like the thought of key-whoring cuz you don't learn wtf your job is sposed to do... idk... /rant now...

I'm in a ranting mood cuz I just learned some fucksquat (TM-Aks) "educator" is getting Huck Finn published w/o the n-word cuz he feels uncomfortable about reading it in his class... which is the point of using it in the educational setting... I digress... /rant2.0
