Curse.

Cursna is WHM29, SCH32--both can be had at support job levels. A stack of holy Water is ~12k and under across the the servers; I usually carry a stack in the Mog Satchel. Unless it drops you to 25% HP or something, a curse is not a big deal.

Paralysis, though, may or may not keep you from using a Remedy or cast Paralyna on yourself. Now, that's annoying--there's not even predictability with that one.

Granted, I had a very nice 5 hour long nap somewhere in there after watching a movie I put off watching. 3/5. Special props for having some of the most obvious product placement I have ever seen. The words "Nokia" and "Vaio" might as well have been flashing across the screen sometimes.

I think it isn't right that some jobs can't take advantage of certain atma like VV or RR. But scoping their thoughts on the issue a bit, I lose sympathy when I see statements like:

Anytime a RDM can drop a 4k WS while Quietus is maxing out at 2.7k, there is a problem.

No offense. There is a problem if some jobs can't take advantage of it and are under the threat of getting left behind. But it isn't unusual for some people to take the above quote and put this kind of spin on it:

"We do worse than BST for crying out loud!"

And to such people, stop using my jobs as the benchmark for bad performance and go to hell.

Getting thru an update and loggin in only to find that there is a freezing issue. Got around to a few parts of Jeuno but walked into L. Jeuno and failsauce... have tried to get out but to no avail.

My own lack of foresight... I went the Stp route on Keitanotachi... got it up to +2 now. And now that the next Magian tiers are out... methinks it's time to start over so I can have a super Hagun rather than a easier 5hit build.

Oh my god, I am so sad now!

Was trying to solo Lachyrmater on BST and the fight was going well. Pet died and I had to run away to call another. Just as I'm calling up the next one, Lachyrmater suddenly runs over a spot and Myrmecoleon pops and eats him. ( /_\)

And I really wanted Witchstone too...

Leveling NIN for subjob purposes.

Oh the joys of spending lots of money on ninja tools and Ichi scrolls I will probably never use once I'm done leveling.
At least the shadows are fun.

E. papers... drops from Yagudo Heralds and Interrogators out in Sauromague(?) Campagne(?) ... the mobs are spread way apart... and the drop rate is silly low. I got SAM, THF, DNC, and DRG emotes and the drops needed were all acquired off the first mob I killed. I just want to pose on a giant freakin' frog!!! Spent about an hour trying to get the damn drop and had to give up for sleep.

Empyrean seals. Not the drop rate from NM's, not the rate that they drop from quests but the fact that you can't trade them. Doing the Galkan sausage quest, I would have easily finished both RNG and PUP legs before finishing RDM - what I actually wanted. I have no wish to level RNG or PUP, so I tossed them.

It's nice that you can quest them, but you can't help anyone do it. You can't get people together and do Resistance Ops or Dominion ops or quests to maximize the odds of getting what people need, you're on your own. If Bob gets everything you need and you get what he needs, that's tough shit.

There is talk elsewhere about solutions to the "seal problem" as you describe... many people are outright against trading between players (RMT etc). But one solution I support is allowing to trade X seals to an NPC for one seal you want. For example, I trade 4 Mavi, 6 Estq. head seals for a single Cirque head seal.

And one solution I personally wouldn't mind is allowing quests to drop into the pool rather than directly to you.

Make generic Rare/ex coin-like items drop from Quest mobs (one type of coin per piece of armor) and allow players to trade those for the Seals they actually need.
