Funny thing. I noticed, when I bring BST to Campaign, people actually follow me around.

Darn right I keep tabs on the Bsts, they have Widescan and I am not going to /bst or /rng to get Widescan as I can't keep myself alive that well on just Blu, kinda need that /dnc or /sch to live.

That being said, once Bst hits 75 and I can charm some of the more interesting mobs like slugs with /bst, I'll reconsider it. But I'd also like to Bst it up in Campaign at that point.

My only real issue with Campaign is people who are idiots, 'cause it covers such a wide spectrum

Though I would probably recommend not pulling mobs and ditching them when someone else starts to fight the mob. I've seen it happen too many times in Bastok campaign zones where people have done that, and the quadav kill whoever the puller left the mob to, ran and killed the puller, linking with mobs along the way until you have the entire quadav army running around hunting people down.

It is kinda funny though and makes for some good times.

After reading all these comments about campaign, I don't look forward to doing it. My main is only 63 so I'm still a ways off, but now I think I'll just chill and xp in groups.

Its not THAT bad if you can handle taking a hit or two. Suggest you sub dancer if you play a melee job to self heal. Or Sub Sch if you have it to Mp for a self Refresh and assesion, which is REALLY fun to do with a Cure IV.

It's liberating when it's only possible to be on the receiving end, isn't it? Like all those WAR/SAMs, and all those NIN/WARs, and all those DRK/THFs. They can sure ask for cures, but it isn't even an issue of them "not caring for me." The issue is that they simply "don't have anything to offer me in return". And when I do come RDM, and I cast Protect and Shell on people and they don't thank me, I take note, they're the ones I don't cure during the battle. Because nobody is entitled to any aid. Never forget, anything I cast on you is charity.

Those are the people who should be subbing Dancer to help them get through an AoE or to get more exp with self heals. The ones that bitch me out for not curing are the ones I tell to sub dancer and ignore them for the rest of the time.

With that attitude, its a wonder...

If I see some one onthe ground, I raise them, even if I am drk/Whm. Or if I am low on Mp, I will actually rest up until I have 150 and raise them. I will sit in one spot and raise some one. If I see that they are having issues and need a cure, I give it to them.

If you keep with the attitude you have at this moment, no one will even think about raising you if your dead. I have actually shouted out that if some one needs a raise, give me a tell many times. I don't just sit there and be like "Oh, your dead, to bad, I don't care." I will actually go out in search of people in need of raises.

Just because one person doesn't give you a raise when you need it, doesn't mean that no one will. One person is not everyone, just ignore that one person and wait. I have had to wait for a raise a few times as well. I even ask politley for a raise if theres a mage standing right next to me and they don't see my body and they aren't doing anything. Know what? They give me a raise because I asked politly.

I don't know what server you are on, maybe its just a bad server for you, but the server I am on actually raises people and helps out plds if they are taking too many hits. I've actually gotten myself killed for curing a pld from nearly no hp to full a few times.

Just like Ketaru said, ill toss cures and raises and such, but dont EXPECT me to go out of my way to keep your sorry ass alive if you came unprepared. If I do so it's solely for the points I get for tossing out said cures and raises really. As for soloing mobs, again, it may just be Quetz, but I don't get merit invites on PLD unless I sync down to a lower level party.

As for the campaign spoils, again, I could care less to be honest. I come to campaign for exp and allied notes, not for the crap that drops from the spoils coffer. You need money? Go farm LOL you will prolly make more than from a random campaign battle >.>;

That is actually how I make most of my money in game. I HATE farming. Hate camping NMs, and farming for money, was so glad when I was able to make 10k/battle. On avarage I can get 10-15k every 2-3 battles. There are others who hate farming, and doing campaign is a decent way of making money. Actually helped me get the best gear I coudl for dnc when I leveled it and so on. So don't tell me to go farming when campaign is just as well if not better than farming.

Its called farming KS/BS Tak, go solo some crabs in the tree or kuftal. To me, exp is the equivalent of money in RL, and those are the two things you DONT FUCK WITH when it comes to me. As selfish as it may seem, nobody else is gonna watch out for my exp in the game more than me.

I was doing a pick-up CoP 4-3 yesterday because the fight is fun... if you don't make it hard. But there was one guy (who didn't need the mission clear) who insisted on not clearing fomor hate because that's the way he did it on some other server back "before the nerfs". And it probably took us two hours longer than if we had spent half an hour killing orcs, partly because we had to clear every fucking room before popping the ??? and partly because of all the blood aggro.

EDIT: and I was the one who had to constantly remind them that the chest key was not the key for the doors, and I was the one who brought poison potions so I could curaga. It would have been nice if the RDM had refreshed me... he wasn't even refreshing himself half the time when he needed to, like when we were resting MP.

Then again, it really got me going because I was up at 2:30AM without feeling drowsy. And three chest keys dropped, though I didn't get one, but I was happy enough to be able to lot.

...which brings me to a peeve I've probably already mentioned, which is who the fuck is the sadist who came up with the map quests for CoP areas? They're not only almost impossible to solo, many of them require a full party... and then only one guy might get a chance at a map. They should get easier next month at least.

If you have my luck with shit dropping, then you would hate camping NMS and doing BCs... I have gone 0/50 on the battles with anything good. (Utsusemi for one, O-Kotes NM, and many, many more.

I'm just trying to get an Extra-Fine File to complete one of the few damn Windurst quests I have left. Wiki indicates a 13/6/6% drop rate from the three fomor that are known to drop it. I've killed quite a few so far, maybe 15-20 or so (some were today with a TH3 thf) and still no drop. It does NOT help that the fomor are night-only (15 minutes out of every hour), and link as a party. (I've been sleepga-nuking, so the linking isn't all that bad.)

That only drops off certain Fomor, too ... I think the Warriors and one other. I had a bitch getting that one done myself. At least it helped me work on Fomor hate for the swift belt ... not that I ever got another chance to pop that NM before I quit.

I came home Friday evening from work to find myself in GM Jail lol

I was idle in East Ronafure [S] from camping Goblintrap that previous night. I come home to find my ffxi logged off so I login and find myself in jail w/ no GM present. I call SE and just when I get someone on the line the GM appears and I tell the representative I'm taken care of. The GM says I tripped their 'cheat software' filter/scanner. I tell him I don't use any form of cheat software and he can look at my account all he wants. He was pretty cool about it all and said that perhaps my wifi was the cause of the trip-up. I told him I'm a paying customer and they should look harder at other players actually cheating, aka mining/fishing bots. He asked if there was anything they could do, I said yea can I have a Ridill? He lol'd and promptly warped me back to my homepoint. {fun}

Finding a campaign my 66Thf could participate in and not in the "eat a bag of dirt" kinda way. I haven't had much time to play so I just wanted to outfit my Thf and get a few battles in... damn orcs didn't want to invade cuz when they did in Jugner the NPCs ate them all w/in 5min for a grande total of 120xp for me... I mean... those orcs were gone before you could break outta lag to get a hit in... so SA was not happening. Icelands were ablaze with fighters but I haven't found those very survivable for my 66Thf yet so I waited.... and waited... and waited... finally I gave in and started doing some chores while refreshing the battles... still ... nada... finally right before I was to leave for Robin Hood (movie) some of the other non-facerape areas started fighting... thank you FKN... but why the F must people jump all over that NM and his avatars. They're slept people... just give him the fort and kill his cronies... omgz.

Only reasons I didn't LFP were 1) I didn't have time... and 2) I was gonna lose my medal.

I know the feeling I have 1 day left to get enough XP/AN to keep my medal of Altana, spent the last month getting my subs to 49 before the cap raise and the mad dash to 80. So kind of an accomplishment there NIN THF WHM WAR 49 and retired ^^

Wish they'd make the mobs harder in campaign or at least give them more HP. I snatched a whm mob from the train of mobs incoming to North gustaberg [S] Proceeded to knock 7 shades outa him then he casts cure V, was made up get to kill him some more, shame it was only 700hp, but it gave mn an extra WS. Ive started so solo mobs in campaign but the difference is I'm not no silly little rdm or pld tickling the mob to death so it dies of old age, and when I do it I kill it on the known mob route in plain sight not up a tree hidden from everyone.

I had a pld with me camping the route the mobs take an I agreed to not take his mob if there were others. Grabbed one destroyed it, grabbed one a smn was soloing killed that looked round and the plds mob is still at 80%.

There's a growing trend in Campaign where I'm beginning to notice people actively trying to be in their very own Unions...whatever that means. I would join Unions with 5 people, then at the end, the Scorpion Claw would drop to me with no lotting required.

Looks like people would rather get their Gnat Wings 100% than have a chance at lotting an Icarus Wing against another person.
