I think my LS is trying to get into the schedule as well, but we never were ones for planning a month in advance (not that you really could on Midgard).

I just did my Dyanmis LS's schedule this morning. No real 'planning' involved; rotate through the cities, tag on two more Beaucedine's (because too many people still need Beaucedine, so can't schedule Xarcabard, yet.)

Six more runs on the Dynamis Calendar, just like that. Easy.

Spending the entire evening/night killing an NM (5 times, w/ no competition too!) and not getting a drop.

Also, waking up in the morning to see 5 THF/WAR's surrounding you lol...great, now I have to really earn it lol

Sigh, Campaign again. In Beaucedine Glacier, there has been this PLD who has been super tanking all the mobs that come on. This honestly wouldn't bother me much...if it wasn't the Shadowwing Batallion he has been super tanking. If it were something like Quadavs, at least those don't spam ridiculous AoEs with Regain. But the Shadowwing gargoyles spam strong AoE attacks regardless of whether somebody is attacking them or not. So basically the only people that can safely approach his mobs are people that can spam high level cures on themselves (or Lifedrinker Lars <.<).

Everybody else just wipes, or sits their watching, or claim the mobs before he can get Diaga off...I get wanting to show off to people. But in this case, I think he's just being a prick.

Wow, that's just... lol.

Campaign was starting to get back to its "normal" level of retardedness when yesterday I saw the post-update behaviors again, like killing mobs before they reach the battle area... real fun when they do that at Fort KN. I think some of this may be from people who realized "oh crap I need another rank to get me one of them Allied Rings!"

I also saw more apparent kiting of mobs into NPCs, but these were Divine Pilgrims, so at least the earlier behavior might make a bit more sense if they were an engineer group too. Still, it robs people of the XP from banging away at a turret or belfry. I got lucky at one point to find a battle where nobody was paying attention to the belfry, and got ~1100xp on my RDM64.


And I'm going to bitch about bad luck at farming mission items. Some of us lost a CoP 6-4 fight, went in with 5 pumps, used 3 on Omega, and Ultima blew us away at 33%. I'll let you do the math on that. So we head off to Pso'Xja to farm some more got-dam chips. We must have killed 20 or so chests (with competition to slow us down) before the first cyan chip dropped. It was getting really pathetic. At least we ended up with 8 sets by the time we were done many hours later.

Spending the whole weekend in the Eldieme Necropolis looking for a coffer to get my sexy Red Mage gloves. Then when one finally does appear I realize I've been running around with a Chest Key instead of a Coffer Key.

In the coming update, there is talk of expanding on the roles of various jobs. I've resolved that if BST does not get anything to make it more desirable in group settings, that will be when I quit the game. I got rejected on 3 occasions where a group was looking for DD for some the most mundane, day-to-day stupid shit like Assault or Puk ISNM. And the level cap increase is only going to make it worse. People are more confident in PUP as a job now than BST. If nothing is done to raise the image of the job to the player base, this will be my last month playing Final Fantasy XI.

See, I was gonna go on another monthly break, though ended up forgetting to cancel my account so I'm paid for this month. Now I'm in a predicament. I'm so damn bored of FFXI! All my friends are either gone or always too busy, I can't do any end-game because my DRG is shit and I'm bored of it now, I'm leveling my COR but due to my job OCD, I wanna try PLD now but... ugh, can't stand starting from level 1 again. Why can't I magically hit 60!

Nothing to do but grind, grind, grind in this game. The times I actually do have fun is when I'm doing my NPC fellow quests, so I probably want some damn story.

Sigh~ guess I could stop whining and try shouting for CoPs or something to that effect.

Getting Nin to 49 uggggggh. I got it to 37 this weekend, so hopefully I can ERS tonight to low 40s. Than it will be a painful struggle to get to 49 so I can start leveling my dancer again.

I wanna try PLD now but... ugh, can't stand starting from level 1 again. Why can't I magically hit 60!

Level 7 can be done in half an hour with FoV and an exp ring.

Grind for a few more hours until you get to about 1000tnl from level 13 (maybe a bit farther if you have another exp ring charge ready), then head for Kor. Tunnel, and wait with your LFG on. Bonus if you /COR for Corsair's Roll. That'll take you up at least to the low 20s. You'll be past The Doons at least.

Have you done all the nation missions for your current nation? Switch nations and do it again. With the exception of the dragon fight, it's an easy solo to rank 5.

Heck, you can damn near bypass the jungles too, if you search lvl 21-23ish and your server has competent players, you can get picked up for a SMN burn in Yhutunga Jungle, should take you to 33ish.

With Pld I found it pretty fast in regards to exp.
So fast in fact I wanted to go back and do it again.
It all started because the Pld in our static pt in which I play a Thf decided pld was too hard for him.
I had gotten alot of flack from him and he blamed me for alot of his shortcomings.
So afterwards I decided to lvl Pld to try and spot where I was at fault.

Turns out I was doing fine on Thf and Pld really isn't that hard up to 41 so far.
The fellow Pld thread here has been great for me to learn from and the gear guide.

So .... My pet peeve is people that blame others for their own shortcomings.
They say a bad workman blames his tools.
I say a bad gamer blames everyone else and IS a tool.

Honestly, that there are so many times were a duo or trio can get faster experience then some of the parties put together these days is just sad.

Before I stopped playing seriously, the only way I'd get any exp was to duo 2 of my own characters. Sometimes I'd use one of my sons' characters and trio or use him as the power leveler. I usually did much better all on my own.

I've been using my main on brd/whm to pl my mules on my second account to around 12ish, mostly to be used as a sync in smn burns.

For some reason, even though I greatly dislike having to start new jobs, I don't mind nearly as much doing this. Maybe because I know that my chances of dieing are slim to none.

And, that's why at least one of the mules I'm going to try to level as white mage, so I can pl my main with my mule

Yeah, I was dual-boxing FOV on my two accounts until Yamila got banned. It was great with level sync, and basically I just had Yamila set on WHM to /assist me in one macro, then I'd alt-tab and hit a cure 3 macro if I needed it from her. I got really efficient with it. After that account got banned though, it was a hell of a lot more difficult so I stopped xping my low level stuff. Which sucked, because going out to xp that low level stuff when I was bored was a great way to stop myself from just sitting in WG looking at shouts.
