I don't really mind Dusk because it benefits my backwards-running TP-avoiding shenanigans.

-1% HP on Assault Jerkin? Was that even necessary?

For me (Elvaan) that'd be like -14 HP on top of at least +20 I'm not getting from other body pieces, leaving it at -34 HP by comparison. Not game breaking but it's not exactly ignorable either unlike the +1 Def on earrings.

If you want to start looking for silly armors you just gotta look at old AF sets though. What the hell would a WAR want 3 INT on a head piece for? To bring a 1000 damage nuke down to 996?

I mean the entire set is geared to mages obviously but who wants a head piece with only 1 INT and 2 emnity in a mage set? Do you really want more of a chance to get aggro when you nuke the target as a mage? Why?

I'm actually rather upset that more high-level Mage gear doesn't have some dang Enmity+ on it as a "downside." I wouldn't mind seeing that, personally, especially if it means some bonuses in return, in addition to the departure from pink-magery . . . =9

Haubygote might actually provide greater returns in that department. I mean, not only is the extra damage translated in to extra enmity, but you actually have extra damage being provided, too. This is also coincidentally the greatest problem in finding good RDM Enmity+ gear (e.g. Warwolf versus Potent/Life, and especially, just to drive the point home, Virtuoso belt); there is a certain irony in that it derives from having better gear for doing damage with. <.<;

Of course, if you meant something more like HNM applications more than, I dunno, low-man messing-around applications (or Campaign >_>b ), then that all goes out the window as you run around Gravity-kiting with a beaver's tail.

+10 attack isn't going to increase your overall irritation level by 5%, but there's precious little else of use to go on there so why not make it a multitasker?

For one, no discussion about rdm melee is truly as serious as the participants believe, and for another, discussions about rdm melee fall in nicely with the theme of "pet peeves." :3

Well, yeah, but Baron's gear is pre-ToAU so they probably weren't thinking of BLU when they made it. Maybe THF? They'll get TA only 10 levels after the set is wearable.

I prefer to think that they simply flip a coin. If heads, the gear will have stats. If tails, it just has Defense. If it has stats, they flip a second coin. If heads, they'll give it something useful. If tails, they go out of their way to make it confuse the fuck out of you. And thus Wise gear was born.

BST's Ready ability seems to be glitched. I would be using FunguarFamiliar and attempting to tell it to use Silence Gas. Sometimes, I would command it. And Funguar won't do anything. Then, 3 fights later with no prompting, it'll suddenly use Silence Gas at the start of the fight. Or worse, it'll use an ability that is completely different. Like yesterday, I told it to use Silence Gas and it didn't do anything. About 30 seconds later, it uses Frog Kick.

I look at Wise gear as being Nashira and Homam's little brother with Down Syndrome: little mix of Acc and MAcc (of course, no Haste, Enmity, or extra Attack/Magical skills), all in amounts too little to mean much, and just enough to confuse the fuck out of you (I remember the queries as to the value of MAcc not long after Wise came out, and being written off as mostly useless). And to tie it all off, it's ugly as pigs fucking.

Of course, it's a step up from Corselet, which is considered something of a drug-induced still birth.

... sorry.. you were trying to blind bats? I'd expect for that to happen... but the others I totally agree.

We were in Dyna-Jeuno last night and killed the mega boss... started pulling and apparently every sleep for the upcoming 2 pulls was resisted. Now it had turned to Light day so that might be an issue but our leader was pretty WTF that his fully merited spells all got totally nulled along with everyone else's. Anyone know if there's a crazy magic resistance given to mobs in that zone once the mega boss goes down... just curious. Might have just been the Squeenix gods pay-back for actually making AFv2 rain down the whole run.

I bought a full set for around 300k when they first appeared. +2 Macc for specific element and +20MP. Found that 1 Macc ~ 0.9elemental skill and (i think) 1 elemental skill ~ 2 int (/waits for correction). Which means they were not enough to clog 8 slots. Now a full set is very cheap. I want to sell them back but I hate loosing money.

I know how you feel about buying Wise Gear.

I kept telling this RDM that I didnt need Haste (Refueling FTW) and to just keep me Refreshed. What does the dumbass do? Tosses me a Haste, but I go half the Nyzul run without Refresh! WTF man!
