Redoing my RDM macros is a pain in the ass.
I'll probably have to do them over again once I get to the point where 5 to 6 gear swaps isn't sufficient. God this is frustrating.

Can't wait to get to Elemental Staves though. Man those are gonna be sweet.

Partying with people in Dunes/Qufim/so on, who happen to be meriting via Level Sync. If I end up in one more party with some 75 War who thinks he can take gobbies at 12, so help me, I'll scream.

Oh, and people past 25 who still haven't done their sub-job quest. :v

A sub job is like sex, it's ok if you don't have one at 18, but people with point and laugh if you haven't gotten once you hit 25.

Oh, oh, can I add another one?

People beyond Qufim who don't know what a Skillchain is/refuse to use them because they're 'ineffective'.
You people are just outright dumb. :v

Are you on my server? Do you want to party? Tonight?
I swear to god, no one in this game is willing to put together a skillchain. I just took BLM to 38 without a single skillchain to burst on. You know how fucking stupid that is?

I wish there was a way to set your macros like this: For every instance of '/equip Ear2 "Morion Earring"', replace it with '/equip Ear2 "Morion Earring +1"', rather than making you fix what could be some 100 macros just because you changed one piece of gear...

Well you've got until tomorrow night to make it happen. Oh and make it 43. I've switched back to leveling my Red Mage.

You copied me good sir! I demand royalties! And you said it wrong, here's how it goes *ahem*:

A sub job is like sex, shouldn't have it till you're 18, but if you don't have it by 21 people laugh at you

Shit like this is basically why I caved and turned to SpellCast. My PLD macros got waaaaay too ugly between all the situational gear I have and my different subs.

How easy is it to setup spellcast? Thinking of getting back into the game but because I'll be playing on a new PC I'm going to have to redo every single macro set I have and to be honest, I just can't be bothered to do that

There's a some overhead getting into it as you learn the format for the XML files, but it's nothing that's actually hard, just takes some reading. I believe they had some examples at the Windower site, too. Once you know the rules, maintenance is easy as pie since you can define sets of gear (e.g. WS, full Haste, Cure Potency, idle) and simply make references to them. E.g. When casting Utsusemi, equip "Full Haste" set, then equip "Idle" when done. You could have 20 spells making reference to the same set of gear, it doesn't matter; if you get new gear or something, you just have to change the definition of your gear set and all 20 spells will use the new gear. Plus I like being able to pick out JAs and WS from the menu instead of through macros and still get equip swaps, since I can keep track of their recasts easier through the menus and they're just a CTRL+J or CTRL+W away.

You can do some neat things with a bit of creativity and extra work too. Rather than defining a specific set of idle gear, since I have so much situational gear with latents and whatnot, I set up SpellCast to switch me back to whatever I had equipped before the spell/WS/ability, regardless of what it is. I also set up two text commands on Windower that let me save my currently equipped gear, and restore it at any time, just in case I have a gear swap mishap because I had a menu open or something.

people that come into the ls who only say bad things about ffxi.. or how dead or dying it is.

got a guy in ls who comes on sporadically and seems just to say how awesome some new game he is playing, how dead this or that is, or more recently:

"where are all the endgame maanequins in wg? endgame dead now??"

seriously if all ya do when ya sign on to ffxi to complain or talk about another game do us all a favor "stay"tfo.

dont need ya, dont want ya, dont wanna hear about it.. if the games dead in your opinion why do ya bother coming in to tell the rest of us that its dead, maybe wed be happier living in denial of your deep and profound wisdom.

I'll have to try it out some time, the stuff you can do with it does sound interesting.
