I finally pulled out my macro when people do their /check. "Linney feels violated." Linney says "Aren't ya gonna at least buy me dinner first."
I had that macro put away for a while but figured it was about that time I brought it back out when the same people examine me more than once in the same day in the city
there is also a difference in how its presented, if someone is giving yo constructive criticism, please take it -.-

There is a DR in my Dyna LS that has all the "great" gear and even Relic lv5, and he knows now to play DRG, now I have played DRG since... welll since i unlocked it little over 5 years ago ;p and I still would listen to anything he had to say about DRG.

I ate Ramen for like three weeks straight about a year ago.

I don't recommend it. There is a limit to just how much Ramen you can force yourself to eat, even though it really is super cheap.

You eat enough of anything and you'll get sick of it.

Regardless, I am on food stamps because I don't make a lot of money at my job, and now I also have to pay rent because I am not going to school (and thus not able to live in student housing rent free), so even if I did eat nothing but Ramen I still wouldn't be able to pay for FFXI if I wanted to.

All that is moot, anyway, because I already cut it from my life because it was my life.

How nobody will ever be happy with an update...

I'm sure people saw it coming from a mile away, but true to the spirit of Allakhazam, the sky is falling...

Apparently people would rather go back to the days where:

            - Pets used AoE and attacked things you didn't want it to attack.
            - SE doesn't update solo aspects of BST, even though playing in a bubble really isn't the point of the game.
            - People liked it more when pets use redundant enfeebles.
            - ...or useless enfeebles.
            - ...or useless enfeebles that were AoE (like Scream!)

Ya thats one thing I made sure my son could make so I know he won't starve. He recently graduated to making Mac & Cheese so now he has a variety of dishes. LOL He hates when he makes Ramen and I'm at home because I always make sure he makes enough for me too. I love how ticked he gets, especially after all the years of cooking I did for him!

OMG...I ate Spicy Chicken Burritos from Taco Bell for 4 months straight until they took them off the menu. And when I say I ate them for 4 months......I ate NOTHING ELSE. I wonder how long I would have kept eating them if they wouldn't have discontinued them...

My son agrees with you about General Tso's Chicken though. LOL

                  That video was really awesome.

Also TGM, if your son likes General Tso Chicken, tell him to try Boneless Spare Ribs(if he hasn't). If he buys them at a good place with some good fried rice, MMMMMMM. Back when I dormed and was always strapped for cash, that or a General Tso Lunch Special for $4 would get me through the day sometimes.

I do believe me I do, if it's constructive I'm all about it, but it's the people that are like you should do this this this... Ok erm do you have a whm? or any caster class? (example) No I'm all melee... then how are going to tell me that is what I need? (That is just an example of what i've seen trying to tell me I should have DEF gear O.O instead of say on whm int/mnd.)

I also ask ls mates if I need advice what piece of gear/wep I should choose I don't mind the help as long as it's all to help not to make you sit there and go <(@.@)> huh?!?

                        Traveling.
I understand S-E wanted to imbue their game with a sense of size, and they succeeded, but man it is a pain when you're a new player with no Chocobo or Airship pass or warp/tele spells. Even just running halfway across a single zone to meet somebody can take 5 minutes or more. I admit, it adds to the cool, vast feeling of the in-game world...but tapping the auto run button and sitting back to watch your avatar jog...and jog...and jog some more...is not fun. It can be quite the chore.

Even later in the game, it's annoying. Having to wait for ships/ferries to arrive/depart. Having to go to certain places to pick up a Chocobo. Chocobos running away when you get off. Only being able to Warp to a homepoint and teleport to a few crags. Getting from point A to point B is rarely quick and never enjoyable. It's the most tedious aspect of the game, I think.

Having said all this, I do realize there's this new outpost warp option now. I'll go look that up and see how it works. Sounds convenient, from what I understand.

(I am fresh off a 2+ year break from this game.)

You forgot the part about running into trees so you can't just set up auto-run and wander off.

That's true. Wouldn't some pathfinding functionality be great? In areas where you have 0% chance of aggro, it'd be nice to be able to tell the game "bring me to G-6" or something like that, then set your controller down and get some food or read a book for 15 minutes while your character finds his/her way to that spot.

But then wouldn't this be turning into ff12 where you can pretty much put the game on auto pilot... here let me set up my gambits and watch my party make it to the end of the game without me having to pick up the controller
Travel used to SUCK!!! Now it's seeming a little less stressful with all the warps they've added to the game (field man tabs are nice at times and always remember op runs op runs op runs lol) I also think it sucks when the choco knocks you off (as stated in a previous post) after what is it 15 min I think. That in my mind is messed up! Here I know you are running through the jungle let me drop you off right in a pack of Goblins and watch you get butchered. Dlvl again... damn, I just got that lvl, the pty says lets go from yuhtunga to yohtar they say... but I get lost sometimes!! Oh don't worry you'll be fine, as I find myself surrounded by gobs, I'm sure at some point or another that has happened to us all.

I need to do more of those training manual things. I earned 33 tabs doing one, but haven't looked to see what that could buy for me. I like to solo, or party with 1 or 2 good friends, and while doing that, it'd be fun to have the added objective of doing training manual tasks... as opposed to just hunting for the sake of xp.
