@And, there are a few situations where FoV REALLY bumps up the xp/hr in an xp pt setting. Valkrum Dunes and Qufim Island come to mind. If you're doing lizard camp, might as well do the lizard FoV. If you're doing the Crab cam, might as well do the crab FoV. It really does bump up the XP as well as give you the FoV points some really need.

I was a level 60 in a level 42 sync party, doing goblins in Eastern Altepa Desert. And by this same party was a 75 bst/whm, who when I was sleeping any links, I was told would "take any aggro off us" as a cactuar is beating me senseless, I waited to sleep it because I didn't want to get yelled at again, until I was almost dead, but no help came from said bst. I like doing FOV in some instances, like in lower level parties, BUT, not at the expense of faster exp because we are running around trying to figure out what the last thing we need is.

EDIT: Rethinking this too, it made me remember some of the dunes parties that I was PLing for LS friends.... The parties were SOOOO slow because of getting new pages and because of competition for FOV mobs.... I felt completely useless.....

Greedy people in campaign. Im starting to dislike RDM in campaign. 2 of us in the zone at this point that had tags on, Ive just got back from sandy to get my rose grip, just 2 tp per hit from a 5 hit build ^^ Went to the battle to try it out. Mobs arrive and a rdm pulls one. I run over and engage it, after a few swings I pull hate and the Rdm then disengages runs over and pulls a different one leaving me with the damn mob.

I was on sam dnc getting 18tp per hit thanks to my new grip. Managed to solo the mob down to 25% before a group of fellow campaigners arrived, I was happy that they ran over and tore the rdm mob apart before they got to mine. I wasnt aware I could tank an orc for that long an not die so was happy but there was no need to just run off and get your own and leave me stuck with it.

What job were you btw?

Because I do that a lot.

But only if I know the guy pulling hate (usually a PLD) can tank it without problems, plus I leave the mob enf'd up into oblivion and the PLD with Haste on.

This happens much more often in the Eldieme where there aren't so many players. Or in zones like Jugner where there are enough tanks so there's no need for me to stay if I can go tank another mob that's free.

(Edit > I also try to stay away from other mobs if possible so my mob doesn't get hit by AoE buffs or hits other mobs with them. But close enough to haste the other tank.)

That way you can have 2 mobs entertained (and hence not hitting the ??? defenses) and both tanks get good XP/AN at the end ot it.

I also do that if I see people is having problems with a NM. It's amazing how easily I can get all the hate on me sometimes. o_O

As much as it pains me to say this, I think it may be close to the time for me to get a new social linkshell... I've been in my current one for 3 years and I'm pretty sure that this may be the final death of the linkshell. Long story short, drama broke the linkshell up about 2 years ago and it never recovered, there would be new people but they'd come and go and eventually it'd be the same regulars every day. The leader doesn't even half come into the shell anymore because she's in other shells and she has endgame shells as well so she can't hardly recruit anymore. The second in command doesn't show up at all in the linkshell anymore, he only appears when there are 10+ people in there. Majority of the sackholders are either on break or have left the game. It'd be hard for me myself to breathe new life into it (recruit) because I'm not even on as much as I should be either.

If any social shell on Leviathan wants to accept a new friendly WAWR who likes wizard cookies, Alchemy, Woodworking, Cooking, and long walks on Secret Beach, lemme know.

Sam/dnc and It wasnt easy to tank the thing, I didnt want to tank it he just decided to leave me to it. If I hadnt been getting silly tp per hit I would have died way before anyone else got there. It was against one of the mnk orcs so there not so bad. If its had been one of the dark knight quadavs I'd have been dead in seconds.

If he want to go solo a mob thats fine, I dont want to solo a mob and I resent being left with one like I was with no npc or other player backup. I did pretty well until I popped third eye with no seigan up cause it wore off and got the crap kicked outa me waiting for the recast, was into the red at one point till i could get that back up. Make sure I got the killing blow in him with my stored tp tho, wasnt doing all the work and having the others steal the kill ^^

I see.

If you don't want to tank mobs I recommend you unlock and turn around if you get hate so the tank knows you don't intend to tank it. Otherwise they will just assume you'll be tanking it and look for other mobs to tank instead.

Also, on Campaign is usually better to sacrifice some offensive power for some defense. Like for instance equiping the new Patronus ring instead of a DD piece. You wont notice much diffenrence and you can actually get more xp for taking dmg, specially tanking. Plus you'll be able help in case the aren't enough tanks in the area.

That is true but we all use the tools we have I have to admit I do that myself but mine arnt timed tbh, when I get 100tp it fires whether the mobs at 100% or 1%. Got left again this morning but this was just funny, was doing the usual tanking of a quadav quite happily and saw suddenly my mob really destroying me. Noticed everyone else moving away turned the camera and hed called for help on me and the rest of the ninja turtles turned up and wiped me out ^^.

Later in the same fight 3 very determined turtles chased me for 10 laps round the fort and I managed to loose 2 but one just wouldnt leave me alone. 200 hp Id had enough turned round and tanked me ass off back up to 100% hp. When your relying on seigan third eye and curing watlz PARALYZE is a pain, tried to remove it 4 times before I got it off, Im starting to like tanking campaign mobs started getting 2.5k + xp compared to 1k if I just straight DD.

Mhurron and Lilith are in Kujata, that's a plus.

Mhurron will mpk you repeatedly for every piece of relic gear you own (Mhurron's Grudge). That's a minus.

Kujata sucks for shouting to get missions done so you better have a decent LS. That's another minus.

It used to be empty compared to other servers. That can be a plus or a minus.
