Yeah, Yellow Mage, it was a Neverwinter Nights reference. Seriously, I loved that game.

What amuses me more than annoying me is when someone in besieged shouts for a cure or some other thing that you usually can't reach them for even in /say range, and without any hint of a <pos>. Sometimes I'll shout back "{heal} over here!"

Not half as amusing as people that feel so important, they must tell the entire zone that they're charmed.

All I know is if I say I'm staying til everyone gets something.... I actually stay until everyone gets whatever that damnable something is. Easy to say when you're the one who still needs, I know; but, it's true. Coming back the next day and gathering more who need to help those who didn't acquire is during the previous run ... well, just plain sucky.



To those who DO come back to assist ~ we do notice.... we do appreciate... ty, , ty, , ty, , ty, , ty,, ty, .

... too bad that populace is like 2 in 10 from my experience.

When it comes to Campaign NMs that have pets, I wish people would stop indefinitely pulling and killing the pets. Get the NM done with already so we can see the loot, or move on to the next zone...

For those who don't know, with many NMs that have pets, if you allow them to call all their pets while attacking the fort, you can pull the NM without attracting the pets' attention as long as you don't pull the NM too far from them. This works really with the Yagudo SMN/MNK in Garlaige Citadel [s] and the Yagudo BST in Meriphataud Moutains [s].

The Quadav BLM/BST still gets a pass on this. SE, for God's sake, a mob with Breakga was the most broken idea ever.

EDIT: Bolded above, it was originally "ports". Typing habit I'm not proud of, almost constantly replacing words that even sort of sound alike...

Earlier this month my mule account got the LM-17 from credit cards. I had put off calling on my mule account because, frankly, I couldn't be bothered to talk to these people again after all the hassle they've put me through. Well, I finally got around to it today, and the guy I spoke to informed me that my mule account was permanently banned.

I told the guy I was pretty confused, considering I went through the same thing on my main account last month and that it was unbanned, yet this account wouldn't be? Same set of credit cards, same name on the accounts, so how is one illegal but another is not?

He merely said he'd submit a ban complaint for the account. I don't really give that much of a shit because it was my mule, but I did have plenty of things on the account that I didn't want to lose, and a few things I wanted to give to a friend before the end of the month.

This just further reinforces my decision that I should stop playing, if they're going to jerk people around like this. How are two accounts under the same name, using the same cards that also have my name on them checked and resolved differently? I'm personally baffled. I told him to submit the ban complaint and place a note on it that I have two accounts with the same situation. I want to know why one was banned and the other wasn't.

This further cements their stupidity in my brain.

So yeah, not really a peeve within the game, but a peeve nonetheless. How retarded can they possibly be?

Still unable to get consistently back to claim Eldieme Union coffers, but I always get massive xp and notes. So I guess that's SE's way of saying "you aren't supposed to get so much out of Campaign" or something. /sigh

Day 3 of Soboro runs.... oh, wait... they didn't happen cuz so many people got theirs last night and the night before that though some(most) said they'd help out today (because it was too late to acquire the last 4 people's drop and follow thru on the "eveyone gets the drop tonight" LAST NIGHT and/or the NIGHT BEFORE) it seems rather inconvenient that these Soboro'd do NOT happen to be online tonight. (sorry run-on sentence)

Lesson learned. Trust no one. Thanks Fox Mulder ... I should have listened long ago.

Augmentations... lets make something that has alot of potential and seems pretty enticing but lets jack it so that it's implimentation continues the frustrating and useless motif we established with Moblin Mazes.

The Behemoth's Dominion NM:

~Life Belt............+1 Str, -1 Dex/Agi, +11 Water.
~Battle Gloves .....+1 Wind.

So I create a "bastard" Potent Belt that gimps on Dex/Agi ?? ... perfect for the farming of "lolzthf" when I join party with that sweet bit of 'leetness vs crabs. And, seriously +1 Wind ??? ...+1 ???? ...fk u, SE. And the horse you rode in on. Mostly cuz... well... I'll keep trying to snatch that carrot on the stick.

Morning (for me) Besieged battles, about 2-4 hours before JP-midnight when it's mostly JPs playing.

Everyone immediately goes for anything with "the" in its name and takes 10-15 minutes of the hour to kill, mostly ignoring the easy kills that go roaming around aggroing everyone from behind. And the "easy kills" are also (ahem) the only ones I can hit in my current push to cap Staff on BLM. Yesterday, there were still puks wandering around most of the hour. And when I'm not whiffing, I'm wasting time constantly casting cures and stoneskin. If I try to "pull" one and turn it purple with Dia, it gets completely ignored and I just end up sweeping the streets with my tongue. I have trouble even getting 0.5 staff in one of these battles.

Just now i got lucky and got an 0.1 and 0.3 in the last 2 minutes after I found a Troll Forager gone purple. So now I only have 1.5 more to go and then I can go back to WHM/RDM. {/sigh} The good news is another one just hit Lv 1 Preparing as it ended.

I don't see why the hell they complain.. You are raising their stone dead asses.

People are selfish really. As long as they are getting thier XP they don't care about anyone else's. It's like the Paladins in campaign that never bother tanking mobs anymore. Usually if I use anything more than a Cure II in campaign I'm going to be finding that the mob I thought was being tanked is now suddenly very interested in turning my poor WHM body into a new beastman fort decoration.

It's even worse when you have that Quadav BST NM that spams Breakga or the Dark Elementals that spam Sleepga II constantly and you get a dozen /tells and /says yelling at you for not Stona'ing/Waking them when you are clearly petrified/sleeping along with them.

It just got fucking annoying. Even in Besieged I never got harassed that much. I'd see someone /s {Cure} {Can I have it?} and I'd cure them, usually no more than a Cure III though, and if they don't thank me, I won't fucking cure them again. To be fair, I don't expect a thanks after every cure, but just the first one show me your appreciation, then I'll be glad to help out again if you need it.

Don't spam it though, I am not afraid to blist annoying beggars. And sometimes after one person asks for a cure, 25 others start. No fucking way. Filter /s, filter /sh, put up /away, and do my thing. I don't mind helping out but seriously don't fucking barrage me with requests. I am not your bitch.

This is one of the many reasons why I never enter Whitegate or Besieged without filtering out /say and /shout first.

If there's one thing I want to see them do in XIV, it's to make it visibly obvious when someone has a status condition. Maybe not all status conditions, but stuff like eyes closed and head down when asleep, turning gray when petrified, a sickly purple color when poisoned, and maybe shaking like Michael J. Fox off his meds when Paralyzed. The way things are in XI, the only way to know someone has a status condition is to see it appear in the (usually scrolling wildly even with decent filters) chat log. Or if someone tells you, usually something like: /p <call> {poisona}

This is one of the many reasons why I never enter Whitegate or Besieged without filtering out /say and /shout first.

I only do that when idling silvers. And I filter out emotes too.

OMG! So true. Sleep+Petrified look so alike as well. If a mob has both moves, you cant tell if the player is asleep, or petrfied at times, unless you catch the move it used, which can be hard at times, even with filters on when cure spells are being spammed, and haste/refresh starts wearing off as you are trying to figure out what they have when they don't say what it is.

Posoin isn't bad though. As it appears in the Hp bar that some one is poisoned.

But I think it should show up in their Hp bar. Like it will flash poisoned, then Bio, and Petrified on their Status bar.

Aut this just made me think though... Why the hell is the spell poison so weak, and lasts like 15 seconds, yet when you get poisend, it lasts for 5 mins?

I live in Australia, and for at least one month i have had ONE party. I have no idea how I am going to level, when there is no one on looking for party.

Oh and i just tried to log on, and got a error. FFXI 2003.

Well, I buy the Dweomer Scythe, jump in a Fey Quest augment PT. Talk to Callisto in Grauberg, trade her the scythe, its not in my inventory, go fight the douche Quadov and his 4 wivre pals FTW. Fey pops, I talk to her, she shows me this:

Atk +7
Souleater +2%
Wind +10

I decided to accept for a number of reasons, she says here you go and I hope it serves you well. I have 20 or so space available in inventory, I check it, not there. I talk to fey again, she shows me the scythe again, I accept again, she says the same thing and this time I get the quest complete music. I check my inventory, still not there. The fey depops. I called a GM and he asked a bunch of questions and said they'll look into it...

This sux because it had higher atk than had previously been found for that zone/fight/scythe aug.
I did the run again to get only a Damage +3 augment, which obviously is horrible in comparison.
