Re: What's your pet peeve in FFXI?
Oh please. Let the tank die? Now you're just grasping at straws. You're making it sound like you're BEGINNING with fight with 40 MP. If that's what's going on, what are you doing? It's clear you can't support the party as it exists then.
Snarl plants hate on an NPC. That's none of your concern. Every stray hit that hits the pet as opposed to the tank is less HP you have to be healing, and less MP you have to be using. Trick Attack planting hate on the tank does not affect you whatsoever? I thought you were just talking about needing MP or else he'll "die".

I just got my Thf to 46 finally. Loving TH2 all the way except... WtF is up with getting more mobs that drop these worthless chests than mobs that actually drop the items I'm farming?? At first I thought it must be the super-KupoPowers that were making their drop-rates so exceptional; but, now that it's gone, I'm still getting tons more chest-drops than item-drops. I learned after unlocking my 2nd chest to recieve my 3rd Chocobo feather, they are a total waste of my time. I cannot say this for certain; but, it seems to me so far that a mob is less likely to drop it's regular items if it yields one of these worthless chests. Maybe it'd be a little better if when you opened the chest, there was also items that actually drop from the mob along with the lil bonus. I can count on one hand the times these chests have given me anything worthwhile. Even some of the Rare/ex drops are really really "bleh" (i.e. Konschtat, Buburima)
