I'd rather have the Wizard's Drink so I can get back 2000+ mp from Convert, but when you get some combination of Megalixir, Dusty Elixir and Dusty Ether every five minutes or so, do you really need to have 2000 max mp?

Yeah but simple fact is, if you don't want to do it, don't really QQ when others also won't. You don't have to exp in AU areas to get the keys, no one xps on the Trolls or Lamia anyway, just the Mamools.

I don't think the lack of MP is the reason we lose the AC, at least not on Hades. It's general apathy and random stupid times where no one is really on. Gimps abound, skilling up weapons that are way below par thanks to Level Sync, wearing shit gear because, "HEY, It's Besieged, no one gives a shit!" Then everyone QQs when the AC is lost, well, that's just how it is I guess. I could blame a whole bunch of other factors on why Besieged is lost. It's not just the MP drinks.

I mean I like them, too, but I deal when they're not there. I don't give two shits about the free warp though, tbh.

I hope you understand this isn't a valid excuse and all it does is prove you have never even tried freeing an NPC you are interested in.

But just in case let me tell you this: Having an exp. chain on is not required to get the key to drop.

Just to display that they have it for any number of reasons. I've seen people do this while leveling to show that they have spells or gear ready for when they level, as a crafter to show what they're capable of making, casually to display gifts and keepsakes from friends, etc. It's also useful for locking situational gear to make it unswappable while still keeping it on you, though people with mog satchels can use that instead now.

            Why do you hate /anon?

            • Re: What's your pet peeve in FFXI?

              1. People who go /anon are intentionally putting themselves in ostracism, usually for a good reason, like, say, not wanting *too much* attention.
              2. Some people want to show off a certain item that they have for whatever reason. That is the point.
              3. I know that there is some sort of story behind this that we aren't hearing.
              4. So they weren't using Animas? While that is stupid, I have to ask if you had Animas yourself.
              5. Are you referring to keeping your Wyvern alive using that one ability that sacrifices your HP to restore Wyvern HP? Which means the mages are going to have to restore the HP you just lost and potentially get hate and then die, and if the mages die the whole party kind of dies whereas if a Wyvern dies it is sort of inconsequential as Dragoons can just resummon them anyway? I mean, I'm no expert on Dragoon endgame, buuuuut . . .
              6. Give them no reason to doubt.
              7. You've only just registered on these forums and I've been hearing nothing but negative stuff from you. You haven't exactly earned any trust so far as I'm concerned.
              8. Have you considered the possibility that you don't know everything, either? Even if they don't know, they are quite likely willing to learn with the right attitude, Really, why so demeaning?
              9. Try paying the old price anyway. You'd be surprised.
              10. Again, I'm seeing a general theme here of "I'm right, you're wrong, end of story." Also a theme of lack of details.
              11. I've never played Warrior before ( . . . lolPLD38), but any new Warriors I meet I generally pass on the information of how awesome Shield Break and Acid Bolts are (courtesy of Armando, natch). One of them has reached 75 by now (although she's now leveling some more subjobs than /MNK), and we are great friends, her still appreciating the advice that she has learned to be invaluable to a new Warrior. (Interestingly enough, she's also the only German-speaking person I really know, and has joked about possibly being the only German person on the entire server.) Just because you haven't leveled something yourself doesn't mean you can't have any secondhand knowledge of how it may work. Also note that your own advice should probably be taken by you, as I'm pretty sure people are sick of you telling them how to play and insisting that it's the "right" way, and then again there may also be people who are only interested in giving you potentially genuinely useful advice that you may follow at your own discretion.

Honestly, just judging from the tone of your first 5 posts, I'd put 5 gil on you being one giant walking peeve yourself.

idk what the context of this is but I have to say it reminded me of something. I hate it when someone asks me to help with something relatively easy, say the ninja flag, or Windy 6-2, or a celestial avatar, stuff that I could solo and would be absolute cake duo, but then doesn't take my word on our ability to do the fight and insists on building a full party. So now I'm stuck. If I say "Nevermind I'm not going to help you then if I don't get to be the only person that helps you" I look like a total douche, but the alternative is to tool around wasting my time while they build this utterly overkill group just so I can walk to the fight and watch them smashy things for less than 10 seconds and say grats.

Heheh, sorry. I was like this for my first Dragon fight. I quickly learned to take the BLM's word for it when he said that "healing [wasn't] going to be a problem."

And, yeah, I did seem to go a little too hard there. My bad. <_<

I have a new Pet Peeve: People who stand next to me when the Thief is trying to Trick Attack me. I don't mind you pulling hate when I'm on PLD more times then not it's beneficial for me to yield hate to someone with shadows up. However could you please not stand *next* to me when the first voker tears the mob off the puller? If my Sentinel and Shield Bash timers aren't up and the Thief accidentally TA's you instead of me because you were standing way to close to me I won't be held responsible if I can't get the mob off your squishy DD behind before the mob has turned your skin into a new pillowcase.

Bonus points if it's the BLU that got TA'd by mistake and he's going all out with a bludgeon spam. If you aren't even going to try to lose hate or even put up Shadows then I'm not going to Cover you

                      2. People setting a bazaar with an item for 99,999,999,999 I mean WTF is the point
Sometimes people will put an item up for max gil because they don't want to accidentally toss the item. I know I have accidentally NPC'd a Dark Staff before while half asleep and not paying attention. I know they're cheap but it's still embarrassing.

                      5. Mages who tell a Dragoon to let his Wyvern die (how bout I let you die)
Needlessly curing a DD is the fastest way for a healer to tear hate off the tank and is also the fastest way for a healer to run out of MP. You hitting a JA that you get back once every 20 minutes produces no hate, uses none of the healer's MP and leaves the tank at the top of the hate list.

                      6. People who doubt my skills using a Job
I think the fact that you are ranting shows that you have been giving people reason to doubt your ablity on a job.

If someone doubts my skill on a job I know i'm good at then I will be making damn sure that I'm pulling out all the stops to make sure that the people questioning my ability know I'm doing my best.

                      8. Casual Gamers who tell me what to do when they know nothing about strategy
That is a highly elitist comment there. Just because someone isn't a hardcore uber endgame nut who decorates thier mannqeuins with gear that most endgame players can only dream of obtaining doesn't mean that they know nothing about strategy.

I think he is talking about by using Spirit Link or whatever it is to heal their wyvern, which puts them at yellow HP. I don't know why a healer would get stupid about that. Should let the PLD cure that anyway, gives the PLD more hate and the DRG is healed, there you go.

Judging from your sig you are one level away from having Flash (again, since you're a career White Mage). You will love it. From what I've seen about the tools Paladin has to offer:

                                Shield Bash is awesome.
                                Sentinel is win.
                                And Flash is epic.

So, that puts you one level away from having the trifecta. You can do it!
