How often does it drop for you? I've seen one in all the times we've killed Ix. There is a list a mile long of people wanting one too so it will be a long ass time before they get sold.

I hate people who discriminate like that too. Once i was in a pt as BLU and we needed a tank. I invited a NIN to tank for us and he asked what the setup was. He immediately declined to tank because one of our PT members was a PUP...........saying the job is gimp and would kill our exp. I ended up tanking as BLU/WAR (gogo Cocoon + Metal Body!) and we raked in the exp like you wouldnt believe.

As far as the Royal Jelly BCNM, just go kill some easy prey mobs, the seals will drop fast enough on their own. The drop rate aint great, but it will eventually drop, just keep at it.

I don't fully understand the puppetmaster job yet (Never played it, only been in a party with an archer pup set up), but I am trying to learn it. I know that they have healing set ups, and the such. I've also heard that they can cost nearly 200k by the level of 10... Which put me off from leveling the job, let a lone getting the job. I do like the idea though of how you can have a pet that wont attack you if you want a pet job as sub haha. Other than that, I don't know much, even though I have been reading about it.

Thanks. I will continue. The first run, we almost got killed. 3 of the jellies formed into the queen, the last two... We killed them all before they even got a chance to form into the queen jelly.

It's fairly common. I'd say 50% drop rate. No one in the ls has wanted it in forever.

Try going with a 2-hander that can wield a Polearm fairly well. Personally i tend to go as SAM or WAR with a polearm, or as RNG with Holy Bolts. and have the rdm go /blm instead, makes it easier to land bind and grav from what ive seen

PUP can have a pretty big initial cost if you buy every attachment early. If you don't buy the super expensive ones until later, it's not too bad.

Heh yea. I gotta lvl up my pole arm skill so that I can use it there. I am going as Sam for the event. I just did it again with a different thf friend, and a blm/whm. I told the BLM/whm to go left and bind as Me and the Thf went right and killed the others. HE DIDN"T LISTEN! -.-; Instead he followed us, and bound the ones we where killing. Needless to say. Four of them formed into the queen jelly, and we failed hard. Got the queen to about 1/8 Hp I died, the blm just stand there watching as the thf is taking a beeting. The Blm decides to reast IN AOE RANGE! of the thf, and gets killed by aoe as he had no hp to take any hits.

Why cant people listen to a simple command. Its so stressful leading groups. -.-;

As bad as it sounds, you dont wanna do BCNM's unless you have as close to the optimal setup. Remember, you're doin them for money, those seals require time and effort, so the last thing you need is to lose out on the orb because of an idiot who didnt pay attention, or for having brought the wrong job/s I have yet to lose on RJ ever since I started doing them for money.

Yea, I know how annoying it is to get seals. Thing is... I'm just trying to do it for the utsusemi scroll. I have other ways of making money, it takes some time, but its still money. But it can't make 300k that's needed for it by the time my nin will be lvl 37 and ready for the scroll. I'm a poor nin, but I like to have optimal gear for the leveling. I will refuse to go to nin lvl 37 with out Ni, just like I refuse to go past lvl 40 mnk with out the brown belt.

Ixion is probably the best drop rate NM in the game, if only it wasn't such an annoyance to camp. And if only its drops weren't so "meh." Azoth is great for DNC, but not many play DNC still (and DNC isn't used by most endgame shells, read: the shells who kill Ixion in the first place), Cape is great for BLM but Gleeman's is the same unless you desperately need the MP - and most people in my shell have both Gleeman's and Aslan for their RDM, making Ixion an inventory -1 item, Cloak is meh, and Hermes are WARgaiterz. (And next Ixion we get, I get them! Yay!)

At least it's not bottable, but it's easily cockblockable which is just as bad. (Ohi gonna run up and Flash it so it runs away cause you weren't ready to claim but you were.) Stuuupid.

My other pet peeve... Utsusemi: Ni. 0/3 (Royal Jelly. No Ni, or Ring either.) on the drop, and the orbs are hard to get when you don't have many people willing to farm them with you. Its also cheaper than the Ichi scroll (On my server).

I went through the same thing trying to get -ni. I used 4 or 5 orbs on Royal Jelly without a drop and finally just bought it. I did get a drop later on though and was able to sell it to get my money back.

If, by chance, you're on Fairy, /tell my other character Saiph and I'll help you. My seal stack is growing out of control because I solo constantly (approx. 920 seals), so if you're on Fairy, I'll even supply the orbs for you.
