Yeah.....I wondered about that too. Maybe they drop specific ores or something lol. I can't look up what they drop at work.

He was probably farming them forZinc Ore - but you'd think he'd be doing something else for cash having RNG at 60. Unless he doesn't have /NIN sub yet...

I'm always courteous to people that are trying to level but thats rare I guess. I know when I was leveling another one of my rdms recently on Pashow, I had a high level blm -ga'ing everything in sight. I wanted to stay near the oupost and msged him and asked if I could have the area around the outpost and he could have the REST OF THE ENTIRE ZONE. I got a LOL and a /em laughs at TGM. and then he proceeded to kill everything around the outpost. So I /heal'd and went to do some other stuff. Came back about 30 mins later and he was gone. Annoying yes, but don't let it get you too riled up. Just go do something else in game or irl and let the jerks be.

Yup, I was in pashhow soloing Bst around the OP and there was someone there farming water clusters during water weather, but would kill leeches when there were no elementals around.

Now if you are low level and you try to camp the normal leech farming area in the Northwest of Pashhow I would say don't expect to keep that camp to yourself. There is a difference between someone exp'ing/farming at the same time and someone just there to get exp.

Can GM people like that, it's called griefing, and if they keep doing it after you ask them to stop, they can get jailed/banned (depending on the GM and the number of offenses). Happened to my boyfriend and I leveling BLM in Gustav. You guys know Freeze takes about as long to cast as it does to heat a turkey. These assholes would wait till our spell was nearly done and then /ra the pet. We asked them to kindly go somewhere else, as there were plenty of mobs and we were there first, but they decided to keep sniping the pets from us right as our spells were about to go off, which is seriously the most frustrating fucking thing ever, so we GM'ed them and they got jailed for griefing.

Loosing a free hq aspi to 1 ppll not on and 2 rival shell had ninja mules so when i hp from getting aggro from aspi in less than 5 mins they were already swarmed in and got it half way dead -_-

I saw a similar situation when I had jobs in the starter areas, because there were always several high level people who seemed to think that the only profitable thing to farm are beehive chips and silk.

It would help (and yes, this is a peeve) if higher level monsters of the same type actually had better drop rates. It just so happens that at least with crawlers, the Saruta crawlers are a good effort/reward ratio. But nowadays I normally only farm them on the way back and forth to the maw.

And also there are plenty of bees to farm above the cliffs where newbs don't usually go anyhow. Same with lizards in dunes. There's plenty of lizards in NW dunes to farm where newbs and soloers don't go.

It just so happens that at least with crawlers, the Saruta crawlers are a good effort/reward ratio.

I don't consider constantly running around in a huge monotonous circle for hours just for nil and rocks a very good effort/reward ratio.

NA parties and player attitudes.

Lv.40 sync'ed party. The first one to get a "connection lost" and not came back was the borderline leaching WAR with an underwhelming 40% accuracy. The second one to leave party via "connection lost" was the lowest damage output of the three SAMs in part-- right after arguing with the NIN over whether some supposedly-well-known-endgame-player was actually the original person or not and whether the NIN was lying about having a k-club or not. (What...ever...)

While I appreciate the self-recognition that they sucked in either performance and/or personality, and do not deserve slots in the party, a little more warning may have allowed the leader keep the party running smoother, instead of wasting other people's time with a 3 hour 35 minute party that did only 1 hour and 43 minute of fighting. Or just... not put up the seek flag.

Losing four people--two with no warning what-so-ever--in 33 fights is just too disruptive. I'm averaging 1.3 people per NA party added to my "Do NOT want" list this week due to shenanigans like that. This party didn't stabilize until the leader somehow conned two JP RNGs to join and sync'ed to Lv.42.

The night before? Was in the same Cralwer's Nest in a 2 hour, Lv.42 party with five JP players. Left Jeuno together, and disbanded completely when one person had to go (me...sadly). Took two breaks for people to grab snacks and WC, otherwise non-stop killing-pulling. Less total time, better exp, and much happier people, myself included. (They even laughed at a lame joke I made!) No one did a "connection lost" and not come back after leveling or something, that's for sure.

Let's make this easy, rather than assume the worst about every NA you meet, if the PT is not working and remains idle for more than 15 minutes - leave the PT to find another or go solo. You are not obligated to stay as you do not owe people anything.

If you don't have a good excuse, make one up. Yes, its lying, but they can't prove anything - just like you can't prove those players were doing fake disconnects. I don't really care what job I'm leveling or how needed it is, if I feel like my time is being wasted, I'll ask to leave.

Could just be that my treatments have led to me not giving a damn about how people feel in EXP PTs (or maybe the outright stupidity of players in mission content made me that cold), but I don't fake-disconnect anymore. If I don't like how the PT is going, I'll just find or invent a reason to go.

Dunno what that RNG was doing, really, couldn't have been for anything worth farming. Not even Morion Worm is worth that kind of effort anymore.

I farmed in Tahrongi because of the nil plus rocks payout to hours of farming in Saruta. At least Tahrongi also had Saplings and Bees.

Saru has bees too. Giant ones. I don't see where this "nil" payoff is coming from. Farming Saru Crawlers is how I made gil as a noob. Is everyone down there killing all the crawlers 24/7 or something?

There's a decent farming path on the west side of west saru near giddeus where you can go up on the cliff and kill the bees, then drop down and swing around for a few crawlers to go back up. Harvesting points there too for what it's worth.

But more to the point of the discussion, it is stupid that mobs that take twice as long to kill often have equal or lower drop rates to cheesy mobs of that type you can run around offing like little bunny fu-fu.

To reiterate what I was saying earlier, FUCK CERB AND DAHAKS. My last nyzul run of the night saw two of our members petrified for literally five minutes due to petro eyes followed by a hoplon spamming Cerb. I should just change my pet peeve to Nyzul. I wish it had an eye I could stab it in.
