A new pet peeve of mine. Up until recently, I had never really cared for these idiots, but multiple close encounters with them has really brougth them to my attention: Server transfer whores.

These people continually switch servers (usually as a group) for the purpose of what exactly? Last week, my dyna shells Jeuno was ninja popped by another group who decided to low-man farm the area. Our leadership tried to work something out, but they flat out refused to negotiate and we therefore lost the zone (all other zones were already occupied by other NA dyna shells). Then, I end up meeting two of said idiots from that shell in a merit PT. When the merit PT first got started, it was workin out just great, we here killing pretty fast (25k/hour) and having some general good fun. Then comes an idiot WAR who was friends with the RDM and starts giving people hell for not always WSing at 100% (umm btw how the hell would u know who has how much TP unless you usin windower bub!). This idiot berates other pt members saying that they dont know how to merit, when he himself came /sam when everyone else save for the rdm came /nin.

Long story short, unless you prove to be a pretty cool player, if youre a server trans, I will generally make your life a living hell in quetz cuz im tired of those idiots coming to our server and fucking things up with their shitty attitudes. For fucks sake, its a GAME! How small is your penis that you have to make up for it by bein an enormous PRICK on here?

Usually, when I see a server transfer, I either think:

1) This character has dicked someone out of something, and has virtually no chance of getting into a decent endgame linkshell on the previous server.

2) This character has no friends on the previous server and wants to switch to a more "lively" server.

Either way you slice it, I'm very wary of server transfers.

I'm kinda leery about /SAM in merit parties, only because 99% of players are enmity retarded and don't know when to back the fuck off. With people I know, though, they can sub whatever they want. (within reason)

All this is moot because I haven't merited in months.

I was in an endgame shell that invited several members that transferred servers to join us. At first things were fine and most of them seemed nice but then things got ugly. Shortly after they were in, they started sucking up to leaders MORE SO than people usually do. As soon as they got their foot in the door the produced a crow bar and shoved it open the rest of the way. Of course, older members were extremely pissed at how these newer members came in and were suddenly getting preferential treatment. Soon there were 2 sides and the shit hit the fan and in the end, a long time endgame ls dissolved. There were other factors too but this was at least 50% of the reason and more like 55 or 60%.

I'm EXTREMELY leery of server transferees now.

Ya this is a huge peeve of mine. Melee that don't know when to back off or control enmity. They just have the "I'm so UBER!" mentality and it makes the party SUCK. My son is one of these and if he forms a merit pt and ask/begs/pleads for me to be the healer the answer is ALWAYS no.

No, no, it's just that if the rest of the party is as good as they are then they should be able to keep up.

Good tanks get instant hate no matter how many WS a DD uses at the begining of the battle (due to their innate Emnity +100.) And healers always have enough MP to throw 6 Cure V in a row to save said DD after he gets hate with Berserk on and refuses to take it off or stop pulling hate (because everyone knows good healers have infinite MP.)

So you see, it's all about getting the good players in your party so you can be as good as you really are without ever holding back! \(^-^)/

Those -ga spells really don't do much to the PLD, who is the only person that should be in AoE range anyway ... people are so dumb I swear.

I've only been in 2 merit parties so far, but I'm pretty sure there are quite a few level 75s that do that, because I know for sure I partied with them in their 70's.

Everybody loves the DRKs, but just wait until they SATA something and TA fails. 40billion (lolDisgaea)damage on said mob and All Your Enmity Are Belong to Us.

No one should sub THF in merits. The mob really shouldn't be facing one direction long enough for you to really get SATA off, at least from my experience. They kinda just turn in rotation since no single person is trying to hold it. I think that's why you don't often see THFs meriting, they get frustrated that they can't land SA or TA.

Man, I really miss the old days when THF was in charge of hate control and tanks could get a SC SATA'd on at the begining of the fight so DDs wouldn't need to hold back for the rest of the fight.

Aaaand that just reminded me of why I stopped playing PLD after burns became the only option...

...and now I'm grumpy.

I had a fun PT once on THF against Colibri ... we had 2 NIN and 2 THF, and we would each SATA one of the NIN. Still, in most PTs it seems like the DDs aren't inclined to help the tank hold hate...
