Last night, my friends and I were fighting the NMs in Beadeaux to complete the mission Magicite. We got the quadav charms just fine. We had to fight Go'Bhu Gascon twice to get enough Quadav augury shells. I lotted for one, we cheered a bit, and then the 3 of us warped out. I did not remember to sit around and wait for the treasure to be distributed, nor did my friends think to pass on the item so it would get in mah inventory... damn it. So we plan to go back on Thursday night to fight him again to get that item again. So I guess my peeve here is my own impatience with the treasure lotting system. Heh!

Got 2 pet peeves today

1. Mary's Horn and me , didn't feel like buying it for 250-280k off the ah so camped that damn sheep for hours and never turned up then 2 lvl 75 rngs and a thf came along so i gave up. I really don't have the mind to camp nm's, i was surprised that i even stayed as long as i did. Makes me sad that the item is a must have for brds

2. I can't stand how abusive or how some players are very uncoroperative, it just makes me so angry. Lvling my brd in Qufim last night and as usually place was full, no camp was open what-so-ever that would be good for a lvl 19-20 pty. We ended up killing worms outside the tunnel to Port Jeuno. My party were talking a short break then a lvl 23 party comes along and starts killing all our worms. I dunno about you guys but at 23 you go usually go kill pugils and there weren't enough worms in the area for them to chain off properly let alone support both parties. I told them (nice as i possibly could) that we were here first and that they would probably benefit more from the pugil camps (which from my knowledge were free at the time). All i got from one of the member (which i'm guessing was the party leader) was abuse through emotes and /says;

Player:/em slaps Osanpoe with rubber chicken (surprisingly I thought this was quite funny at first but when used repeatedly for a good 5-10 times on me then started on other party members it gets annoying)
friend of player: /slap
both saying nothing but stfu
Osanpoe: <Report> <You can have this>
Player: "Well you can pay for my bill so stfu"
Friend of player: Goto hell stfu



Needless to say i reported them, I'm not a very witty person, I can't come back with witty comments but i'm sick of be bullied by such people and i do try to avoid confrontation as much as possible.

I've only been back in the game three days and already I have things that annoy me.

1.) Voice chat. The people who asked me to return to the game all use the 360 Chat feature. For EVERYTHING. They don't talk in LS chat at all. For events, I can handle some voice chat. But usually I kind of like to write things out, and to not go deaf from hearing everyone talking/joking over each other. But if I want to have any sort of connection with the LS I have to do this. I hate it.

2.) Being asked to tag along on things that I am not needed for, just because you're not willing to take the time to do the research and understand exactly what it is you DO need.

Some folks in the LS last night were talking about going to get a Thief's Knife for a few people in the LS. They all have 75s. They don't need me for that . My dad harassed me about coming to help until I relented until I found out they were just getting them to sell. WHY? They only sell for 80k, and they don't sell very fast. I'm not helping you FARM. In 2006? Sure. We could split the profit. Now? No fucking way.

3.) Related to the above, people having no respect for me and what I'm doing. When this request/demand came, I had just popped some food and two mighty rings on my MNK and was planning on soloing a bit while working on my RDM macros. But they were all RIGHT NOW RIGHT NOW RIGHT NOW RIGHT NOW. Damn it, why didn't you tell me this before I left town, which you could all clearly see in the /linklist? Oh that's right, because you don't look in the linklist. You just yell over each other and barely look at the screen.

My pet peeve in FFXI is that it makes me not want to play it for 2 months, and in that time I play WoW, take 2 characters to 80, and 1 is in pretty much almost best in slot gear till the new instance comes out. So now I naturally get bored of it, and have to reactivate my content ID's and prolly find a new social on Hades cause everytime I quit and come back, my social magically breaks.

Throwing away an item you think is unusable, unsellable, or otherwise worthless, only to discover that you could have simply walked up and handed it to a friend who really needed it.

If I'd actually paid attention to the fact that it was not rare/ex, just rare, and said something before logging off, and if I'd thought to ask whether the item had lotted to you instead of assuming the item was just gone forever, things would have been all good. Meh!



But hey! One NM down, we know exactly where to go and how to prepare, Ula got herself a scroll of reraise for her WHM, and I survived running away from that Tabor Beak with 4 hp. Cartel did ok last night, despite minor disasters.

I can't decide on a main job.... Due to this, my interest in FFXI lately as been rather lacking.

But then that thing hits me. We all know that thing. Some call it obsession, I call it memories! I want to rekindle my passion for FFXI like the old days! I was leveling DRG at the time, but I stopped at 68 for a number of reasons... so yeah. Pretty much like that other guy. FFXI is indeed, a freakin' drug.

Damn you SE. Hurry up with those job updates so I can choose better!

You got two of em' on today's run alone; not to mention the rare/ex version you luckily got off randomly running into the NM long ago 1/1. You've also got a ton o' gil from the last few times it and other awesome drops have deemed to come your way.

No, no, no. I seeing my "buddy" /laugh at the 3rd-4th ass drop I get of the day. I getting the reminderS over party and LS chat that the object still alludes me (and several others) and your ever so clever "just how many crappy items does that make? Do you even have the room for more JUNK". It's part of your charm...
