    Ok Neverslip....take a deep breath...hold it....now slowly exhale....repeat!

The first thing you have to do is CANCEL THE RUN if this happens. People will never learn if you let them get away with it. If I plan something and people aren't ready because they haven't gotten the cutscenes, I either drop them or cancel the run. We usually gather for stuff in Jeuno or WG so if someone doesn't have meds they can easily and quickly get them. If they don't have the gilz to buy the meds, I drop them or cancel the run.

When I form the run, I tell people MULTIPLE times what they'll need to do or what they'll need for the run. If they are really serious about getting this objective completed, they'll remember and do what needs to be done. It weeds out the serious ones from the ones just going through the motions.

Thank you for wasting other's time.

Thanks for making the new people to our group assume this ineptitude is how we "usually roll".

I'm soo happy to start 1.5 hrs late on something that FFxiPedia says could last 4-6hrs.

And thank you also for not coming prepared with the proper (or any) medicines. I'm absolutely happy to make up for your shortcomings, failings, and utter lack of respect for your fellow players.

Totally agree. People who do shit like that are one of the things that really piss me off in the game.

What irks me about as much are the people that claim to have their cutscenes done, and when you get to the battlefield, they missed talking to X or Y totally obvious NPC. It's like they don't even pay attention to what the NPCs tell them and what's going on in the plot.

Thanks TGM... breathing is something I'd forgotten. Thanks for the /comfort

It was only 2 outta the 16 that hadn't prepared so we couldn't cancel altogether. We really shoulda left em but I'm not the leader and it wasn't my call to make. We'd also been supplied with in-depth information regarding the run on the LS site by our leader and others. I see today they have posted after last night that "if you aren't ready by the start time, you're out" ... thank the gods.

By the by... this was CoP 5.2 and a side-note ... one of latecomers popt the 4th Fl. NM right when we got to the web and before we had rested from aggro - right after a HUGE discusion about "not doing anything before the leader says to"

At least we got to the 5th floor. If we hadn't made it there, there may have been rioting in the streets. And one of our 3 sets of 6 peeps actually cleared the fight before RL sleepga hit us too much.

Alchemy. Well specifically farming ingredients. I'm skilling up on Silent Oil right now and well making your own beeswax is frankly just ridculous. I spent 3 hours farming the hill in Gustaberg and must have only gotten about a stack and a half of Beeswax from it and I didn't even get a single skill up either. As it stands I make more money from turning my beehive chips into honey for Echo Drops to fund simply buying beeswax from the AH.

Are there any other synths I can use (Alchemy 20) because I'm sick of spending time farming when I could be doing something else like actually making gil, exping or meriting in campaign.

First, a stupid question: did you remember turn in your test item? (poison potion) Check your crafting skill level to make sure it says "Initiate". I forgot my test when trying to grind grape juice to get cooking from 40-50, and I ended up with two dozen grape juice before I realized my mistake. That would be a good reason why you're not seeing skill-ups at 20.

Are you making your silent oil with slime oil or olive oil? Get advanced support and try the olive oil version. Sure, you'll break more at first, but you'll go farther. Olive oil is a LOT cheaper than slime oil, if you're willing to make trips to Sandy. (or if you have a mule there) I don't think I bothered with the slime oil at all when I was working on Alchemy.

                Besides what Elwynn said...

Rule of thumb: don't farm materials unless you can't buy them OR they happen to be the most profitable thing you do for money. Why spend an hour farming 6k's worth of materials when you could be farming something else (or doing another activity for money) and make 10+k an hour, with which you could be even more materials for the same effort?

Just 'cuz you farmed them it doesn't mean they were free. They came with the opportunity cost of not selling them on the AH.

It says initiate and I got a +0.1 skillup from desynthing a Gobbie mask whish is a lv21 cap IIRC.

I've been making them with slime oil because it's easy to farm and I wasted half a stack of beeswax getting nothing but breaks on the Olive Oil synth. That and silent oil is 5k a stack on my server so you pretty much have no choice but to farm the ingredients for it if you want to break even.

My main complaint about the synth is farming the beehive chips. Farming is just so boring especially when you can one shot the mobs. When I'm farming something tougher I can just throw up buffs, attack and watch TV or play a game or something until the battle music stops. With bees unless I equip a 1DMG club I'm stuck staring at the screen while farming.

It depends what I can do while farming the ingredients. bees drop honey so I can turn those into echo drops for extra money. if I can do something like level my NPC, level a lower job, break the latent on my club of trials or skill up my staff on the mobs I can farm or if fishing ingredients skills up my fishing skill then I see it as worth the time spent.

But really Jellies crap out 2-3 slime oils a kill so you can easy get a full stack of slime oil per lap of Korraloka so farming about 5-6 stacks only takes about an hour at most.

                      Caps Locks Abuse Time!

I've noticed that people in-game tend to lump RDM into the healer category a lot these days...THEY DO EVERYTHING GODDAMN IT, YOU CAN'T EXPECT SOMEONE TO CHAINSPELL STUN AND CUREBOMB YOU AT THE SAME TIME WHEN CHAINSPELL IS UP. And if they did...Really, guy...? :|

Also, BLUs really need to stop wearing fucking Cobra Trews. MAB AND CONSERVE MP DOES NOTHING FOR PHYSICAL BLUE MAGIC, GODDAMMIT. BLU really needs more pants that are either A.) Affordable and decent (AND BY THAT I MEAN NOT RETARDED LIKE COBRA TREWS) during 50-75 that can be bought and sold on the AH, B.) Not Fugly like Cobra Subligar and Vendor's Prince's, and C.) Not Cobra Trews. This doesn't help my current obsession to get my BLU some new pants, either. Looks like I'm gonna have to augment Tiger/Feral Trousers to hold me over. If I can't, however...FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCK

Which brings me to my next realization...none of the ToAU or WotG jobs have their own JSE yet. Which I'd really like to see now and see if it could be any use, now that they've sorted out Relic. Not to mention I don't think anyone has mentioned it. Or Have they?

WHY DOESN'T DANCER HAVE HECATOMB, AND WHY DOESN'T SCHOLAR HAVE ZENITH YET?! I mean seriously, it's been over a freaking year since these jobs came out, so don't they deserve some Abjurations?! Or maybe Homam and lolNashira too. I mean my god, SCH is the only job that is praised for endgame and they get jack for Abjurations. Not like a Dalmatica would totally break Scholar, either...as for DNC: SE, get the mindset of "small-party onry" out of yer heads so my DNC can get some action. GIVE ME A REASON TO LOT HECATOMB GEAR. >_>

                      Ending Caps Lock abuse.

I lost a friend last night. We met in 2003, right after NA launch and were buddies up until yesterday evening. We used to do pretty much everything together ingame, exp parties, missions, BCs, etc. I'm not even sure how it all started or when, but it exploded over gil and a few lies. I don't care about the gil at all, but the lies do get to me, and their reasons get to me even more.

You mean like this? Job Specific Equipment/Blue Mage

Or are you talking about subligar JSE?

In that case, WHM doesn't have subligar JSE either.

Regen effect? Already got auto-regen, and an extra 1HP regen is just about useless.

Light Spirit perpetuation cost -1? I'll get back to you when I get SMN to 50. And it only works /SMN with WHM main. No way would I give up Noble's Tunic for that piece of trash.

DEF 26? Do you really want to melee WHM at level 50? Hell, the subligar itself is DEF 23, and gives +1hMP. The hMP is actually slightly useful. Even BLM's item is slightly useful, with +4 Conserve MP.

Seriously, who was the idiot who decided that this was the piece to make usable by WHM?

I'd much rather have BLU's Cerise Doublet than something which is completely useless for WHM. Anyone doing melee can use +3acc/+3atk. It's not awesome, but it's not useless either.

This has been a rather low-priority peeve for me, but I'll probably drop my Capricornus Subligar eventually. Right now it's just taking up a storage slot, which I use for stuff that I don't need quick access to. Who knows, maybe someday I'll suddenly decide I want to take SMN to 50.

I think my biggest pet peeve, is when im in an xp pt (i was only level 13 or 14 mind you,) and the leader was furious that I didn't know and understand every mechanic to every class in the game. And he kept using studid acronyms, that to this day I have never seen anyone else ever use. It was irritating, I was brand new to the game, I had been playing less then a week, and before I joined the pt I informed him of that. So, on the next pull I calmly snuck off and grabbed an extra goblin and let it kill the group and logged off for a bit.

Honestly, its something that I expect from the people who play wow, but it was so shocking to see in this game. I to this day haven't seen another group of people in the game behave like that.

So, in otherwords, my pet peeve is people who won't listen to you when you ask for advice/ask a question, and then try and scream at you for not knowing the answer. ESPECIALLY in a lowbie group. not that I ever got higher then 25...
