Nope, what the hell are you talking about?

There is a 30 second disconnect rule when your router boots you off.

When youre fighting a mob and the router disconnects you and you cant curing waltz or heal your character while the mob continuously hits your character at that time.

I know you could just replace the router but when youre a poor ass like me, you dont have much of a choice.

When I pl with pld/whm, the mobs cant hit me and when they actually do they hit for 0 damage so why not have the mob attack me when I pl?

I know the party wont be learning much but when I pl, I dont expect them to.

I usually just pl friends unless I do it for money.

I prefer to get all hate when I pl for that reason.

Also, its just easier for me to pl that way.

Are you sure the router booted you or did the server boot you? I know when the server boots me and I try to log back in it'll give some weird error message about me being already logged in. So usually when I get D/C I'll log in as a mule and logout correctly then log back into my main. Other than that IDK what you are talking about.

It doesn't activate.

And you lose the charge.

And your 16-hour cooldown starts.

Not that it isn't any less stupid, but as a White Mage main, shouldn't it have been instinctive by then to have the first thing you do be to remove that darned Paralyze?

Heck, I"m only WHM 18, and if I have it subbed it's always the first thing I do if I'm Paralyzed . . .

May not have been on WHM at the time. I know I get frustrated to bits when I'm paralyzed on RDM/BLM and I can't do anything about it.

Well, if he was using his exp band, and he was Paralyzed, I kind of thought that he would have at least had someone with access to Paralyna nearby.

However, it's still a faulty assumption as he very well could have been soloing on a job combo without Paralyna. In any case, my apologies, and yeah, it totally sucks. >.<;

Indeed. Why would I be popping an XP ring as WHM main when I'm already 75? For 1/10 of a merit point? That I could easily get from 15-20 minutes in campaign?

It was our second or third fight of the evening in our weekly LS ghetto subjob leveling event... in Jugner... and the WHM was leader and pulling, being the one who knew Jugner. WHM remembered to pop ring right before pulling a tiger, which reminded me to pop mine, and Roar AoE paralyzed us as I was trying to use my ring. A few seconds later I wondered where my EXP icon was, then I noticed the recast timer and logs. If this was against a funguar, there wouldn't have been any problem.

Still, I had never heard that when you try to Use an item while paralyzed, failure means that the item/charge is USED. (It actually does say so in wiki, if you read carefully.) It was only 1k xp, and I made level anyhow, but it's the principle that matters to me here.


(I know SOMEONE is going to say "OMFG WHM PULL?" so let me state again, it was our LS ghetto subjob leveling event. And we were mostly going up against Easy Prey to do FoV pages. And you can't do page 5 with sync if you want to keep your buffs.)

The more I think about it, the more I suspect that one of the two WHMs I partied with last weekend on Qufim was an RMT getting their job leveled high enough to become a teletaxi. The one whose name I remember is now running around /anon in Mount Zhayolm. But it's only a suspicion and I don't have proof, so I don't think bringing it up to a GM would do any good.

The original assumption was more along the lines of you subbing /WHM for whatever you were doing.

I shelled out some cash to make sure my BLM Maat fight would go fairly well, went in buffed up. It was darksday when I attempted this..

Freeze, full damage.
Sleep II, slept.
Flare, Full damage..
Firaga III, RESIST!

At this point in time, I had no Elemental Seal to help me and Bind got resisted.. allowing Maat to beat me over the face quite easily..

76+40 INT.
Capped Elemental..

I hate you Maat. Die.

If you are going with the same strategy next time you can just get a Reraise scroll and finish him off with Manafont after you Reraise in case you get KO'd.

Also don't forget Stun, it can save you if you are in a pinch.
