I am one heck of a happy kitty right now.

I found a pretty good gil maker strat, so my financial worries are over!

It doesn't make alot of money by most people's standards, but it covers my costs more than adequately and let's me save up a little bit of gil as well, so I'm quite happy with it.

After posting this I realised it was the wrong thread, soooo...

8 hours total of attempts over past week, STILL no BLU Testimony. Seriously, fuck this drop rate. If RDM Maat wasn't so ridiculous I'd be tempted to just level that.

Do you have to redo the Genkai quests for Blu if you've already done them on another job? Or is this considered different since you aren't fighting Maat?

Pretty sure you don't have to do it more than once for any job unless you want to, that once you've passed G5 you're good to hit 75 on any job.

BLU isn't part of Maat's cap though. Clever was talking about how much of a pain in the ass it is to farm BLU test, and said he should just bite the bullet and do it on RDM, to which I replied that it wasn't too terrible on RDM. I mean hell, if he's tried the BLU one, I've heard that one rivals RDM Maat in difficulty so it is possible he might get it easier if he does it on RDM, lol.

The last two partys i've been in have had the laziest WHMs...

1st Party is:

WHM,RDM,NIN,THF,DRG,WAR

Level synced to 56 so we were doing Lesser Colibri, and for some reason this WHM thinks that just because he isn't the only healer he can slack off and half-afk the whole party. So i am stuck hasting everyone, main healing, debuffing the mob. While he sits at full MP and only cures when someone is in the deep red. Doesn't help me haste, i mentioned to him like "Hey, i'll haste so and so, and you haste so and so". It got to the point where I didn't even need to refresh him because he was never using his MP.

2nd party is:

NIN,THF,THF,WHM,RDM,DRK

Same deal, WHM has this mindset that if theres a RDM in the party they can completely slack off. I never had MP because i was doing the whole haste order, main healing, and debuffing, refreshing myself and the DRK. Three deaths, with the WHM at full MP.

It's like those DDs who think that to be a DD, all you have to do is engage the mob, then go do something else. So when the tank loses hate you see this retarded like MNK still in the same spot until he looks back at his screen and is like "Oh shit the mob moved, and i had 300TP for 4 fights"

If you have other things to do instead of partying then focus on that and don't gimp the party because you think you can be lazy.

I'm the opposite. I hate when RDMs do everything for me. In fact, it irritates the shit out of me when I'm casting Cure V and the damn RDM sneaks in a fast casted Cure IV which makes my Cure V do jackshit and also causes them to pull hate. You see me casting the spell, don't be idiotic. Unless the guy has like 52 HP, but seriously.

I hate "OMG LET ME DO EVERYTHING" RDMs, and maybe that's where these WHMs' problem is. They're used to RDMs who do everything, because the playerbase made RDMs do everything. It's not getting any better, either, because as players want RDMs over WHMs more and more, RDMs will feel like it's their job to do more and more, and WHMs step in feeling like a fifth wheel. It was like that when I leveled. I wanted to do shit, but the RDMs were trying to take everything over. Sit your ass down, RDM! Let me cure people god damn it! lol.

I kinda just do everything by reflex now, I see something like yellow HP while we're fighting a NIN mob or something and I just start casting.

Actually one of our other main RDMs got pissed in Dynamis the other day because I was kinda in the zone and literally beating them to every cast. Was sleeping every mob, silencing every caster, nuking statues, the works. Then when we were fighting a group of SMNs his sleep wore off at a bad time, Shiva readies Diamond Dust, I land sleep right before it fires and the next 15 minutes of LS chat are a discussion of how much more awesome I am than all our other RDMs. Not that I minded, but I was just kinda doing my thing, lol.

Yesterday I was playing on 42BLU in a party with 2xDRG, PLD, RDM, and BLM. When I first got to the party I said to myself "crap! I'm gonna have to pull lol." much to my surprise the BLM offered to pull and did a great job might I add. The RDM was doing a great job of refresh wheel as well as keeping everybody healed and enfeebling the mob. Only problem I had was the BLM wanting to MB off of me and I was trying to self skillchain and MB myself XD. So I fixed my macro to take off my MB but the BLM's MB almost never landed because the 2 drgs would see my /p{Blue Mage} Self {Skillchain} <call14> and then as soon as I Red Lotus Blade, they'd double thrust and mess it all up. All in all it was a great party though .

See though Callisto there's a difference between a good RDM that works well with a WHM and a pretty good RDM who thinks he's the only mage necessary at any given time and doesn't need any other form of support. Now I don't know the people in your LS, but from what I've heard not all of your members are exactly competent, so I can see where you've just taken to doing shit yourself. In most of my LSes, though, WHMs were pretty decent so RDMs didn't have to do everything that fell back onto them. The problem I have is that these are the stuck up ones, who think they're SOOOOOOOO much better than me when they're not, and it becomes this bullshit competition as to who can cast first, which is annoying. Just do your goddamn job and quit trying to out-cast me. If I wanted to compete with other players I'd do ballista.

Although I've definitely been in the company of some shitty WHMs so I do know what it's like to feel like I have to pick up the slack on RDM.

It's not even that our WHMs are bad per se, I just see something happen and react. I tend to assume that if I don't do something it won't get done, so I just play it safe and do everything, and if I can't make it around to everything hope that someone else notices and picks up the slack there, lol.

Add: We've actually purged ourselves of most of our crappy members in the last couple of weeks, but now we have to face issues like planning a DM run with 14 people tomorrow, lol.

Ya recently I've been doing some whm'ing in my new ls and I'm havng some issues fitting in. Two ls's ago we had a very tight low man ls that had some pretty good players in it. I was the main whm and basically the ONLY whm for most things. So you know what that means, you turn into.....SUPERWHM! Able to leap Yagudo in a single bound! (give me a break..I'm a taru!) Then the next ls I was mainly blm but on occasion their main whm would be gone I'd come whm and go into SUPERWHM mode because I'd be the only whm again.

So now here I am in this ls and I'm NOT the only whm but I'm stuck in SUPERWHM mode. And standing by watching someone getting pounded and a whm isn't curing them and all I have to do is hit that key and a cure will go off but I should let someone else do it but I can do it and I should do it and I want to do it and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...... ya.....I do it.

I like the RDMs that do everything. It means that I can take a nap while exping and nobody will notice

It does get annoying when my Regen III's get cured over though. That spell will cure 400 HP. Why do you have to toss a Cure IV over the top of that, take hate and make us both waste MP in the process? Especially when the tank isn't even in the yellow and is in no danger of dying. Unless Dark Rider pops in an Imp camp and the NMs rampage through the camp or the THF was dumb enough to ATTACK Dark Rider like what happened to the party I had on Monday night. there should be no need to cure over my regens.

Actually getting Cure V's overwritten by fact cast Cure IV's became a running joke in out last party. Thankfully I was /SMN and had well over 950MP with a Bijou Glace so it didn't dent my MP too much. Thankfully the jerk RDMs that won't co coperate with WHMs are few and far between (only ever met three in my entire WHM career) on Kujata and so it's easy enough to work out something that works for everyone.

Usually it's easy enough to assign party members to each other so I watch two people and the RDM watches two with us stepping in to heal anyone in trouble if it all hits the fan. It's all very easy to organise and it reduces all drama and the like to a minimum.
