People who aren't exactly clued into the game telling me how to play my job...incorrectly. -.- Don't get me wrong, I'm all for constructive criticism and I'm far from a genius when it comes to playing all jobs, but when someone tells me what to do and it's a ridiculously stupid thing for them to say, it just really gets to me.

It makes me wonder how many poor new players have been misled by similar people?

I once met one person who screamed at the party's WAR for voking off the PLD because the PLD was about to die. Apparently according to him WAR cant possibly tank in an emergency (even though the WAR had NIN subbed, shadows up and saved the whole party from wiping merely by tanking for about half a minute), can't deal any damage (despite Rampage easily outdamaging some of the BLM's spells) and is only there to be a sub for NIN.

People who think war is not a tank. People who play war and refuse to tank. I mean seriously how do you think we partied before or am I the only one who remembers war/mnk tanking high level parties.

I had this exact problem. -.- Someone told me never to 'voke, but when the PLD was about to die, I 'voked, saved his life, and got yelled at. Stupid people.

I remember but it's so MP inefficient you can't blame people for not wanting to use WAR/MNKs.

Personally I had fun tanking on WAR/NIN from 30-60, I had a DRK who had emnity merits (He's an Aegis PLD, of course he has emnity merits!) so it was a challenge keeping the mobs off him. A challenge I mostly failed, but a challenge nonetheless.

It may be MP inefficient but its better than sitting around and beating meat until a "proper tank" pops up. I mean does CoP/RoZ merit zones not exist anymore? I hate when all it is is lolibri this and that. Another pet peeve I guess would be the severe skill decline in this game. (man I am glad I no longer play because right now Id probably be getting a ticket to GM jail for lipping people of for being retards)

I don't really see how anything in Campaign qualifies as an MPK.

Exactly, my wife didn't do anything. As a matter of fact, she took her tag off to try and not get hate while resting off weakness and some mob came up and killed her anyway. So she actually LOST exp from that.

She's not even upset at the fact she got suspended, but by the fact that some bard botter could complain to a GM and falsely report someone and they take action. I had more reason to be suspended than she did. As a matter of fact, when she sent tells to my wife, I was one of the first names on the list of people she was reporting. When my wife chewed her out, she put her name on the list too. Then add to that one of her friends which is in our Dynamis LS was calling her a jerk in tells like almost an hour after that happened. I was about ready to let him have it, but since I knew a GM might be looking at the logs, I backed off.

I'm going to try and do something about it tomorrow when they're open. I talked to an SGM about it and they couldn't do anything since it's not technically my account. No one should be able to get away with false reporting and the GM which could have seen that they didn't do anything actually suspend the other person. When they take you to jail, they should at least let you plead your case and not spout off some script because you're already guilty because the other person says so. That's a bit extreme especially seeing how they didn't even lose any exp and she had no prior offenses from the past 5 years.

I was going to level pld on my account that has drk leveled. I would want to merit emnity of course but I'm thinking twice now about leveling it. I die enough on my drk as it is.

The following happened what 20 mins ago in a party which was pretty annoying:

I rep a WHM in a Jungle party on SMN30. The first mob, a Gobbie is pulled and things didn't go too well. I had my 2 hour and hit it with a "<Just used it>: <Astral Flow>" macro accompanying it. The NIN then yelled <Run Away> and proceeded to zone it, losing hate in the process due to taking damage. Carby's Searing Light misses due to the Gobbie running out of range. THEN the Gobbie came running back to the confused as heck party and started rampaging through us. Somehow we managed to survived long enough to zone it. Then I got chewed out for almost wiping the party because apparently jobs can't 2 hour in an exp party even if it could save a wipe or at least buy enough time to zone the mob. So we went back and fought a mandie this time. Everything went well then the leader decided to disband the party after one mob.

I know things like that always happen to reps but wow I can't believe I wasted Astral Flow on someone who was just going to yell at me for using it and not selfishly hoarding it. You are given 2 hours for a reason guys! If you aren't doing Dynamis or a BCNM fight why are you saving them?

As I hop on a Chocobo bound from San d'Oria to Jeuno for the umpteenth time, I find myself in West Ronfaure, not really paying attention . . . and slam straight in to the western wall of the zone. As it turns out, I had been subconsciously following the roads, also for the umpteenth time, and was trapped by the fact that the northern half of West Ronfaure lacks a south-bound road.

And thus, I realize my new pet peeve: would it kill S-E to put a road somewhere in there that goes in the general direction of La Theine Plateau? They already have a Sand'Orian scout that "patrols the way to La Theine Plateau," but don't you think making so much as a dirt path would help him? I mean, I really minor thing, but, still!

Getting them to bring one of them is hard enough. I swear some melee would forget their fucking weapon if they didn't have it equipped every time they logged in.

My Assault perma quite literally failing an assault by 1 second. One worn left and down to about 25% HP. Once more barrage from the DDs would have killed it but we were all warped out just as the MNK uses Raging Fists

Granted it was more of a "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" moment and we found it pretty funny afterwards. It still annoyed us though.

New pet peeve, people in general.

My internet went down, and I'm at the local library to post this, otherwise I'd have posted it sooner.

I was cleaning up my friends list last week while waiting for our CoP run to start (which never did sadly) and I realised something. About 90% of all the people on my friends list were people I had not spoken to since I first started FFXI. Alot of those people just joined my friends list because I was really good at making great exp parties, and they wanted along for the free ride. Since back then, I only played about 2 hours a week, they stayed on and talked to me until they were 3+ levels above me and then have never spoken a word to me since.

I was already feeling irritated with people who I'll help but who never offer me any help in return, but this has really reinforced my general irritation.
