And also a new peeve this weekend: When you split up for Limbus to do 2 zones, and the B team wipes and costs you about 20 coins b/c they didn't reach the money floor, then complains about getting a slightly smaller share of coins.

How about finding out the ToD of Serket (awesome because the ring would be great for my WHM), going out of your way to organise a group to camp it only for one person to actually show up for it? Then having the entire group you pulled together bitch at you SEVEN HOURS after it popped and some HNMLS killed it an hour later. It would be less annoying if every single WHM and RDM in the LS didn't whine right after too after i didn't bother to get the ToD again.

If camping an easily duoable HNM is like this then there is no way in hell I'm getting involved in HNMLS's

We had a lot of people today and were pwning the zone, and then we got some kind of weird glitch happened by the AH on the Boss pull. Long story short we wiped and had so much lag going they decided to end the run after flagging the zone. Heck I even had to force a DC and relog because accepting Raise just wouldn't register, and a lot of mobs showed on the screen when they were supposed to be like a mile away from me.

I guess my awesome client DX8 simply stopped working from all the mobs and players on the screen at the same time.

Worst part is we had at least an hour and a half left to farm and more than enough people to clear everything, so that ended my chances of getting RDM AF pants tonight.

You have to full time them for the Enhances Spikes Spells to proc.

Now that really really sucks. Is the effect at least worth it if you are for instance using Ice Spikes regularly?

I don't know, haven't really used them to find out. What soloing I do, I hardly ever even bother with spikes to be honest. Every once in a while I'll put up Ice Spikes but I'd rather full time my INT/MND pants (name escapes me, fuck I'm tired) than Duelist's.

Can check the wiki, or the BG wiki even, to see if there have been any mathematics involved with them, but seems hard to test. Dunno, maybe the para procs more often with Ice or something. Even without the AFv2 pants it procs quite well.

My pet peeve is that I had to work 10 hour shifts this week, so when I get home, I really don't have time to do much of anything worthwhile, especially in FFXI.

So I just has a cheeseburger and sleep.

I use spikes a lot, so I guess I'll be figuring out if I ever get them.

Whenever I solo /BLU, I always have ice spikes and duelist's tights equipped. Can't say that they've improved spike damage/potency, but I can say that it doesn't hurt to wear 'em. Plus, it saves me from having to recast paralyze all the time, so I think I am saving some MP.

EDIT: Wiki sez that Spikes enhancement is to damage only, in which case, is fucking paltry. A waste of gear stat space. Coulda given me "Sword Enhancment Spell damage/duration+."

If nothing else, I make good use of the Elemental skill on the tights, and the Dex bonus isn't bad, decent for Evisceration setups. :/




So I guess I have a pet peeve to add: Gear with space wasted on shit stats.
