How about this warm weather? Dang, hard to sleep at night without a bottle of vodka......

It's too damn hot and muggy -.- I'm sorry, but 70+ IS sweltering heat to me, especially when you toss in humidity. Thankfully though, where I live isn't as bad as it was in Houston Texas when I visited my grandparents.

My Norse blood hungers for colder weather, ice and snow! That's shorts and t-shirt weather!

My Norse blood might also explain why I want to carry off the cute girls over my shoulder >.>

Campaign battle is now my new pet peeve. I've only done about 3 or 4 so I don't know if I've not given it a long enough chance but I really don't like it compared to besieged. Being the only WHM in the zone sucks badly when nobody even bothers to tank properly or even engage one mob at a time. how am I supposed to cure people when even refreshing STONESKIN pulls about 5 or 6 mobs away from the group and gets me killed?

Then the same people complain that I'm not "doing my job" because they aren't all at 100% HP all the time and whine when I can't raise them because them dying results in a small hoard of mobs charging at me and mopping the floor with me before they rampage through the rest of the fortifications.

There isn't any incentive to actually cooperate either since exp is calculated by individual performance and not based on how many NMs and Boss mobs were killed like in Besieged. I see PLDs, NINs and WARs just standing there hitting stuff and not bothering with any hate control or damage mitigation because hey the little 52WHM running around trying to avoid being made into a Orcish Gate Decoration can heal them! The only time I see any sort of coordination in CB is if there is a party or alliance working together. In Besieged I quite frequently see and take part in multiple alliances working together to take down NMs.

Don't get me wrong the exp in CB isn't bad but it hardly seems anywhere near as fun as everyone I know who does it says it is. To me it just seems like having to main heal one huge Dunes Party and is about as fun. Will things get better or should I just stick with Besieged?

Healing isn't rewarded the same way in Campaign. It has a low cap and basically isn't that great. In Besieged, it's easier to get capped exp just by curing. Melee is the way for exp in Campaign. It's more about looking out for yourself than others with it.

You could just stand around and cast barspells like some of the others do and not contribute at all. You're not even getting full exp until 61 anyway. It doesn't help that it's kinda' harder than it was before the update.

This isn't really a peeve but more of a "Thank God I left your stupid endgame LS" Got this little snippet from the leader of an LS I bowed out of:

"BST has no priority or equality in this LS. Sorry to be an ass, but it doesn't. DRK and WAR have priority over BST."

I file this under "Incredibly stupid things to say as a shellholder." Not only does this show no respect to just how hard it is to level such a job, I know this leader to eagerly whip out his THF at any opportunity he can and basically only uses SCHs for healers. I've also caught him saying:

"I'll accept a PUP into the LS... if he has a 75 BRD."

Again, this from a guy eager to pull out THF at any given event he sees an opportunity. Only reason I pound on that point is its really easy to knock on various jobs at endgame levels and his is an easy target for many, but I'm respectful enough of the job not to play the THF card. So were I him, I wouldn't go mouthing off about BST and other jobs.

Anyway, glad to not be part of that LS anymore and even more glad I withheld my BRD from the application, he didn't deserve my BRD.

I'm perfectly willing to give CB a chance. It's just first impressions have put me off it a bit. I'm fully aware that I don't get full exp from it but still an average of about 900 exp for 15 minutes of spamming raise and reraise is nice even if it's not what i could be potentially getting.

I think my main issue is the lack of cooperation I have seen in it thus far and not any mechanics to do with it. It's a little sad to see that a lot of people in it only look out for number one until they need help from someone who would likely die in the process of saving them.

I do have a friend who wanted to do a whole bunch of CB battles today to make up for getting me killed a bunch of times helping him get his PLD AF3 so i'll see how that goes before completely ignoring CB.

I guess this weekend made up for the nice couple of days I had during the week...

Been waiting 4-5 months for an Altruistic Cape, we'd only done Ix'DRK twice ever b/c he never pops for us...popped him twice in 2 days, both RR'd 9 times, both Deed'd me...now we have lots of trigs from him so we won't be doing it again for months. I know the second I give up and take it off my wishlist someone will jump on my spot and it will drop for them a week later, that happened with Astute Cape after I gave up on it after months.

Yesterday I joined an XP party, really nice people, except another refreshless party, and this one in Bibiki Bay with a WHM who couldn't be bothered to use Silena or Erase. 3k XP in 1.5 hours.

After giving up there I headed to a Swift Belt run, which I've been waiting for 3 months to do. I get a free night to do something of that sort about once a month, and I really need the belt, so I went for it. The PLD was awful, never used a Cure higher than II, never used a JA other than Provoke, died 4 times on normal mobs and got 1-shotted by EES on the NM. We got to pop a whole 2 NMs in 4 hours. On our second NM pop, I win the random to use my trig and get drop, and all of a sudden the group decides that the /random system we agreed on for the first pop is unfair and that the PLD should get to pop his. He pops and dies to EES in 30 seconds, we do the fight without him, and of course it drops and he gets it. At this point I'm fairly certain it'd be faster to just make the 30m for a Speed Belt.
