If you're just getting LESS XP, that seems like more than a fair balance to me; in fact I proposed a very similar system for EXP parties, although for a different reason. If they're making it IMPOSSIBLE, then yes, it's stupid.

No, they're still possible to do, it's just really almost a complete waste of time. I used to be able to do 7 Ops in one day for about 1300 xp, now I can barely get 300.

I will probably just stop doing them completely and stick to battles.

@Aka: I had so many organs just hanging out in my Mog House from doing Sea, I would lot ALL of them, when I finally got to the point where I could upgrade them to virtue stones I had more than 3 stacks of pouches.

Point of post: I'd give you some of mine but I can't.

They get eaten FAST. I've already gone through 3 pouches with just a a few hours' worth of farming. It has a REALLY high proc rate, which is awesome but you have to maintain the ability to get stones.

1/4th is a pretty big drop off when you're talking about sub 5k EXP ranges. I'd say they should improve it, but keep the system.

It's just that I, like a lot of other people I now, was using easy Ops to get some xp on jobs we don't want to bother leveling. Like recently, been using the Ops to get my BLM's level back, plus a buffer, so I can move to the level 54 camp. It is REALLY pointless to use the 50-54 camp to get a total of 1k xp, especially with the travel involved, so I was using Ops. Looks like Besieged is the new winner for me, though.

Then use ones that aren't easy. If those don't exist that can be done at such a level, they should be added, but the easy ones should not have amazing rewards.

It has never been an AMAZING reward though, but it was actually worth the time to do it. Now it's not worth my time.

Doing something very easy and getting any sort of substantial reward is amazing.

Hardly any of the (repeatable) fetch quests are worth doing for the gil, why should they be worth it for the XP?

I like doing hard ops personally. I'll spam Iron Anvil like everyone else when I've got a stockpile of op credits to use or lose, but generally I'll go do something like Search and Seizure or Delta Strike for some actual fun and challenge.

What pisses me off about the star system is that last time I checked, the only things with more than two stars were cheesy ribbons level ops. Everything was at an 11% experience penalty or greater except the ops that only gave like 90 exp anyway. So basically they nerfed the whole system.

So, I'm doing a couple of missions. And there is another RDM in the group. He has really nice gear for the most part. Some stuff I'm working towards. But he's one of those guys. The ones who make everyone wait 30 minutes for him to be ready to do the mission at all. And then who forget to talk to all the NPCs, so we he doesn't get the key item after we fight the NM. And then who goes AFK for another 20 minutes while we're all waiting for him to come back so we can do the damn fight for him again.

Or my preferred approach, kick him out in the middle of Ro'Maeve. While he's making the mages sneak and invis him because despite how he flaunts his RMT'd gear, he can't afford sneak pots. And then watch and laugh as he gets killed by a Weapon.

Why is it always the fucking BLMs? My shell has always been short on BLMs, which of course are pretty important for most endgame events. With the exception of 1 single BLM, every single fucking one has been a huge problem. Either they are huge drama starters, massive lootwhores, complete fucking idiots, or some combination of the above. It's the only job that I can't afford to freely break pearls on because we need them, yet it's the only job that consistently makes me want to boot the player the fuck out.

Time to see what Sleepga II and Warp II run these days so I can just level it my goddamn self.
