Some are RMT linkshells, but yeah linkshells with members that already have/dont need those abjurations will sometimes find people outside the LS that do who are interested in purchasing it instead of finding their own Sky LS and getting it themselves, HECK, i plan on sitting in the Dragon's Aery for a few days and asking linkshells (since the Aegisjalmer is a fairly common drop that usually goes free lot) if i can buy it (meaning when it drops they invite me, i lot, then the pay the LS leader so he can use that gil towards the LS bank)

like bbq said 99% of those people are the clowns that tp in str rings and need to brd to hit the mob

I mean JP THF/DRK/RNG/BLU/DRG/ETC they wont be seeking as JP only because they are willing to take any party, I just LOVE (sarcasm) how its the NINs, PLDs, WHMs, RDMs who go, "hey we have the right to be picky, so /seacom JP ONLY"

They do it cuz they can...

Need to just take out auto translate since it was put in place so people could communicate through language barriers, us NA/EU don't mind doing it but meh...

I'm playing the game to have fun, which of course means that some of my preferences will stop me from partying at times. For example, since I've been playing WAR with my boyfriend and a RL mutual friend of ours, I was happy to use a Greatsword because I was rarely in a party, I like the weapon, and was planning on using it for my DRK along with Scythe. I hate, with a burning fiery passion, when I do actually get invited to a party and a PL comes along and just says, "Greatsword?" Yes. Get over it. If you don't like it, don't offer to PL, and to the party, don't invite me if you don't want me to use my favoured weapon. I won't do it forever, I just want to for fun.

On the topic of PL, I HATE THEM. It makes party members stupid...they don't learn how to play their job then likely turn into (bad) PL later. I've had terrible experiences with a decent party being gimped by someone inviting their high level friend.

One experience involved said PL raising his friend the BRD mid-combat, while I, the tank, was still being beat on and no one was able to heal me, as our WHM was new and had been yelled at for casting and taking hate by accident, so in the end our entire party died.

Ideally, WAR should try to cap as many weapons as they can while they EXP, but some are just less practical than otherss. Not that Great Sword is terribly impractical, just less preferred.

If you're a melee and only level one type of weapon to 75 - sans DRG. MNK, PUP or SAM - you've pretty much boned yourself.

Current Pet Peeves:

- Our static WAR fell asleep for CoP missions, again. Second time in two weeks. He knew it was coming, I planned it on a good day time for him. I don't care if your college town is boring on the weekend and you want to party all thursday night and friday morning and then sleep in all day and skip class and then go home for the weekend. SLEEP AND BE READY, GDI!

- People who respond to mission shouts who are several missions behind. Look, I can understand people wanting to make connections to get missions done, this isn't how you do it. I'd only make exceptions for exceptional, helpful players in advance, not on the spot.

Yep, and I have said it before, and I'll say it again, Warriors are the weapon masters of the game. They have access to almost every weapon and can do the most WSNMs out of any job. And like Kitten said, some aren't practical, but its nice to just have.

There is no reason WARs should ONLY use single handed Axe. I swear if i see another 75WAR with absolutely no GA skill I'm going to go Taru punting.

A Pet peeve of mine is just the horrible string of bad luck I've been having.

The linkshell i have put my heart into requires THREE sponsers to get into, the only problem is if i don't have sea, my application will be rejected.

So the past month or so I've been making friends on the Dynamis sect of the Linkshell, friends who a part of the Main LS, and after getting to know people i had no problem getting 2 sponsers to far. The only problem is, I took so long to get Sea (not my fault, just alot of stupid stuff like people falling asleep before a mission), that one of the members sponsered someone else (and you can only sponser one person a month, meaning if i want his sposnership id have to wait another month), and eventually the other sponser left the LS for more casual gameplay instead of everyday being spent doing Endgame, now I'm back to 0/3 Sponsers and I'm not very happy.

We failed Airship last run we did so i wasn't very happy, blew 100k or so on those two runs, most of the money coming from those darn CCB Polymers.

After about a week of waiting for another Airship run we finally all gather, i spend almost 200k on new gear/better medicines/CCB Polymer, we all gather and are ready to go, but then the damn WAR fell asleep. SECOND TIME he fell asleep before a COP mission. Like God dude, your about to do the mission thats the last real obstacle before sea and you cant stay awake? Also if you know your going to do an important mission why don't you get sleep before hand? Its not that hard to plan your time. So now we are desperately shouting for a 6th, asking friends, but no one is available to help, meaning i have to wait longer to get sea, and longer to get into this Linkshell.

Also, our static leader, Kitten, if we dont do the fight today is planning on replacing the Swift Belt/Subligar run for the mission, and although i understand his reasoning im not very happy. I've been waiting forEVER for a swift belt, and thats another week or so I have to wait to get a Raparee Harness for THF, i wasn't really happy about that, most of the times when i play my jobs i like to have the best gear. I haven't quested any AF for THF yet only because there is buyable gear that totally outdoes anything the AF can do, only pieces i really consider are the hands and legs, but even then i have buyable equips that outdoes them. I need to quest AF anyway if i want to do the quest for the Raparee harness.

I had a feeling this weekend wasn't going to go well. If it had went as planned I could have not only had Sea, but a swift belt and raparee harness. I told the LS a few days ago I had a feeling something was going to go wrong (female intuition), and i would be leaving the weekend with no sea, no belt, and no harness, and looking at my situation right now... that very well is going to be the case...

/sigh... I really have no luck...

...and thats another Pet Peeve, having no luck at all in this game.

CoPs, as with most stuff at high level in this game is all about patience and persistance. I'm long since past the point where i get shut down by failures, mishaps and things not going as planned. I've been through all the pain the game can throw at me, on top of the drama I've deal with in the game before. If you count your chickens before they're hatched, you set yourself up for major disappointments constantly.

You'll get Sea, Selphiie, its just a matter of time and patience. If we can get the people I want on for Airship (this Warrior lost his chance at continuing, in my opinion), then should have Sea Access licked by tomorrow.

For some of the guys in our static, this is the most progress they've seen with CoPs since its release. Its a daunting series of missions and they're meant to be. I've been over these missions enough times to have gotten Sea four times over, but I've only gotten it once so far.

I need to quest AF anyway if i want to do the quest for the Raparee harness.

Just FYI, you don't actually have to have the AF for that job to get the harness. I was out solo'ing in the Aquaducts and found a THF mob, and killed it for fun. It dropped a subligar, and now I have a nice shiney Rap. Harness on my Mannequin. >.>

Unless it was just recently changed in an update, all you have to do is wear any piece of AF, from any job to start the quest.

Another Part to people who go AFK during battles:

We had a Dancer in a party today who NEVER used his TP. I mean dude, why are you even leveling Dancer if your just going to hit the attack button and go back to your PSP or whatever the crap you are doing when you are supposed to be paying attention. He never used Curing Waltz at all, a 2 hour party and i only saw him use maybe 1 step, he didnt use ANY sambas, his tp just sat at 300 the whole time, even when the mob moved when the Paladin lost hate he would just stand there like an idiot until he looked up from his PSP or whatever and go "OH im not attacking the mob anymore, better go hit it and back to Metal gear solid"
Heres my advice: QUIT DANCER AND LEVEL MONK

There was also a really dumb WHM in the party.

There was a SCH and a DNC in the party, both capable of curing, and she asked me not to pull until she was almost at full MP, like DUDE come on you dont need 650MP to keep a Paladin alive in one Lesser Colibri fight. She was a huge MP waster too, i swear she would always drop a CURE IV on the paladin when he was only at 95% HP, a huge hate grabber and a huge waste of MP, let the Paladin keep himself cured to keep hate, just because his "HP bar isnt full all the time" doesnt mean hes going to die. I don't think she even knew what a Haste cycle was or how to use the Haste spell at all. she was kneeling almost the whole time sometimes even during whole fights where it was the SCH who was watching the Paladin, because she too probably was playing some other game while MAIN HEALING.

People seriously if your going to do something else while playing FFXI, DONT PARTY! The party before that was even worse when the mob moved when the SCH took hate, the SAM, DRK, and WAR all stood there for a good 30 seconds before realizing "OH WE ARENT ATTACKING THE MOB ANYMORE".

Its the case with all DDs, they think they can just stand there and swing, only weaponskilling with they hit 100% TP with no regards to hate and no knowledge of what a skillchain is. Its so disgusting seeing a 70SAM do a skillchain and go "omg i did a skillchainz!" like "OMG ur a SAM u should LIVE off skillchains". Then there are those morons who weaponskill right as the mob is pulled then wonder why they are dying and the Ninja or even paladin can take hate as fast. I swear the intelligence of players in this game has dropped DRAMATICALLY.

I think I just ultimately accept the fact that there will be dumb players. I've played for four years now, after witnessing immense stupidity and getting backstabbed and gratitiude problems more than I can count, its takes a lot to wear down my patience.

I don't take losses to heart, I just get up, reorganize and try again. I take breaks where needed. I don't lose sleep over how someone plays X or Y job, I look at it as an opportunity to adapt my job. Yeah, I don't like those COR/WHMs at 75 with Hexaguns and level 22 bullets, but its thier loss and thier failure at the job. All I can do is show others how its done and hope they'll take note.

I'm of two minds on how to address the bad player. I can (1) just let them fail so I can look better or (2) politely offer advices. I usually stick to #1, but if the PTs really struggling, I'll step in.

Yeah, WHM was overcuring, not hasting and the DNC sat on his TP. I never had a problem keeping up with the PT's needs. I could gripe that the PT was slow EXP, but it was still a positive flow forward in gaining a level and not losing one, so I just let it stand.

All people want is a BLM party nuke so I go and lvl blm so far this month I managed to go from 32-33 soloing and using besieged besiegd even tough I'm there from start to finish gives me 300-400 a whack.But soloing is a pain also fast ep's chain vs 1 long fight.Not to mention when you have 0 lagin besieged it's 1 am bang just b4 it's over dc 0 exp 1hour down the drain ahhh!!!
