-<call> macros: <call> macros are perfectly fine to show the mage's MP to alert the puller or for the puller to alert the party that they are pulling, but to put <call2> whenever a MNKs Boost is ready or a <call3> whenever a WHM cures is just completely unnecessary.

I wear a headset because there are 2 of us in the same room playing at the same time. (Also have 2 sleeping grandchildren down the hall sometimes!) So <call>'s can be quite loud and obnoxious to hear. Once in a blue moon is fine, like Selphie's examples, but a puller who hits his pull macro 5 times cause he's trying to stay at max range to pull...ya headache time. I have 2 macros for pulling. The first macro has a <call> and is seperate from the actual attack macro. This way if I'm not in range, I'm not spamming calls into pt chat and annoying people. There are also gentler calls that I don't mind as much. Of course, they don't grab your attention as well but I use them for my {Gather together.} Protectra! <call11>. I don't think its necessary to use a <call> in that type of macro but a slight attention getter to get any stragglers is nice. But yes, <call>'s in general are a huge peeve of mine also and especially when you ask nicely for someone to remove it and they refuse. /blist add

-Really girly girls(or guys pretending to be girls): OK seriously... not ALL girl gamers make kitty faces, talk about pretty frilly pink things and say "teehee" after everything they say. Im more inclined to beleive your a REAL mithra if you say "hey" when i /wave to you instead of "teehee =^.^= zomg heyazzzz ponies and unicorns and frilly pink loveable teddy bearzzz"

Ok busted out laughing and snorted like a pig when I read this one! LOL But I totally know what you mean and agree. When I see a mithra running around naked and advertising it or doing some stupid emote like "jiggles her ya-ya's in <insert name>'s face", I know that it will most likely be a guy. If its a girl, it's some emo attention whore that makes girl gamers consider having a sex change just so they won't be associated with them.

Getting help with Blu spells.

<_<; Yup, I'm gonna try blu due to 1) sword capped + merrited on rdm, 2) gonna be getting homam and narisha for existing jobs(RDM, THF, WHM) 3) Wanna compare Rdm and Blu when it comes to DDing solo wise at 75.

You don't really need help getting BLU spells. Does it help? Yes. But it's not necessary.

Such as making sense? We know.

You're going to be hard pressed to find a mob that you can't solo or fight with your NPC reasonably well enough to get your spell when you're within range to learn it. Sure, that might mean that you're getting it at the last minute, but it's doable.

Of course, if you do have help, great. But don't go into it with the attitude that you need it.

Staring at the Yigit set just for "Refresh" because it looks like it's actually faster to get the whole bunch before getting near the end of the line for Duelist's Chapeau. Heck, might be faster to get the set than to wait for Dynamis LS to do key item in Beaucedine, so I can actually enter Dynamis - Xarcabard, and watch other people lot the hat. x_x;

9) Mages that don't understand the concept that Cure 4 pulls a LOT of hate!! When the leader says NO CURE 4's, he means NO CURE 4's!!!

Ok, I'm a Whm and I have to say, I have enough -enmity merits plus gear to use this option....... I am a cure IV whore!!!!!!!!! I will have to agree that people who do not have -enmity should use caution, but cure IV is not a bad thing, knowing when to use it is. One or two cure IV's in battle should not be bad if the tank is good enough....... Now having to spam cure anything on a tank in my option is a bad thing and also depends on what you are fighting. My pet peeve is tanks and melee who mob chase when someone gets hate, make the mage with hate come to you...........

I guess this is my own fault for rushing out to do this too quickly, but dying from Djinn aggro on one of the new teleport quests.

I didn't know there would be Djinns there. I didn't know I wouldn't be able to get out of the area without a Prism Powder. Maybe I'm stupid for not bringing them, but my peeve of the night is being dumb enough to get my ass killed, blaming whatever circumstances of the night for getting me there, I'm pissed at myself for not waiting for info on the wiki, pissed at people on BG for not saying, "Hey, there's magic aggro," (though I'll point out that I mentioned this on the thread so others wouldn't fucking die too) pissed at myself for not bringing powders even though I never bring them unless it's sky (or I'm not a mage lolz), and generally just pissed at the game for making me do a quest where I couldn't safely get out of it.

Stupid peeve, I know, but eating a 4k xp loss because I couldn't safely RR where I died (even Bene'd hoping I'd find a zone) really sucks, and I'm just kind of annoyed.

Also, the fact that our Limbus leader actually expected us to wait the four hours his update was downloading so that we could do an OPTIONAL run. You told us the other day it was optional because of the update, don't be surprised when no one wants to do Limbus at 11:30 at night.

You might want to elaborate. There are very few things I've found wrong with the update ... maybe the DRK zerg nerf but that's about it.

no im just going to leave it at that so much irritation from this update for me i could go on for pages. Then have the lotof you come breathing down my neck for another 2 pages telling me how wrong i am. So we will go with the latest update that is all.

That would annoy the hell out of me too. In fact, it annoys me when things are planned after regular events at night but don't actually start till 11:30 or midnight our time. We'll do events and then they'll announce an optional event that is going to be after but then the people running it will have to take a break. An hour to 2 hours later they come back and tell people to gather and by then there is no way I can make it.
