On the flip side of this, if people are just showing late because they feel like it, or they just want to take forever gearing up the job they're coming on, JUST because they know they can and there's not a damn thing we can do about it, if you're the leader I do expect you to do/say something about it and possibly subtract points. I left a sky shell because of the lack of leadership, and I was tired of waiting in Kirin room for an hour after {Gather together.} time for tanks who didn't want to bother coming on time to show up.

Only person to say something about it was me, and I had no authority so no one cared, basically they just told me to quit my bitching. When, really, everyone else should have been just as angry that an hour of their time was wasted waiting for people who were online and just taking their time to get there. I realize that RL comes first and if you can't make it you can't make it, but don't merit until 5 minutes before Kirin gather and then hold up the group because you're not on the job we need you as.

And linkshell leaders, don't fucking ALLOW this to go on. Say something to them, subtract points. Or start taking "on time" points so people start being there when we need them. We could have done 3 Kirins that day, but we only managed 1 because of waiting for people.

God, that was like 3 months ago and I'm still pissed about it. Good thing I left that shell huh?

AMEN! If you are going to be a leader, then LEAD! Lately I'm not regular on when I can log in. My grandkids come first and sometimes that means I log on late and I do not whine or complain when there isn't a spot in the alliance or if they started without me. That's life and I totally understand and support sticking to time frames and such. I know when I am on time and we end up waiting an hour or more for people to log in or gather, I'm annoyed beyond belief. Personally I would give 30 minutes past start time and if people weren't on or gathered then it would be cancelled. I'd also give demerits for people who were in exp/merit parties or people not prepared that we were waiting on. You do this a few times and either people will move on to another ls or get their crap together and stop being asshats if they want to accomplish something.

And for god's sake, get rid of the dead weight in the ls. The people who only show up to the events that they want something from are dead weight. And seriously, real life does come first but if in 2 months you don't show to anything and then you find out that the ls is doing an event that drops an item you want and suddenly you are only able to attend that event......ya real life my ass! (Best thing is, he got the damn rare drop too over someone that attends ALL events regularly.) These people are not benefiting your ls no matter how long they've been with it. Stop favoring them.

I was just invited to a dunes party as BRD by a SCH. He was main healer, and told me that I'd have to do my best to support heal with him, since we didn't have a WHM. I said that I'd give it my best shot, and brought along a stack of Rolanberry Pies for extra MP. Then he told me I was also the main puller. In the party of PLD, WARx2, DRK, SCH, Me (BRD), he wanted me to be the puller. Everyone else was like "olol I don't have ranged" so I was like "olol, you also don't have a BRD."

So, Pet Peeve: If I'm already fulfilling more roles than usual, asking me to take on yet another is maybe not cool.

To their credit, they didn't have a PL, but I almost wish they had.

edit: To clarify, I can actually do all of those things at once, but I took issue with the fact that everyone else was essentially stand around while I did everything.

When people drag thier feet, I simply threaten to cancel the event or to just not plan those events again. I have no problem with backing up the threat.

I agree that more events need to be cancelled if people won't show up on time. In addition, I am all for policies wherein late comers don't get to participate. Sure, it sucks in the short term for the people who did show, but in the long term, people learn their lessons, or leave to make room for people who want to be ready on time.

Saw two PTs in Wajaom woodlands with RDM PLs today.

I want outside cures to be nerfed so badly now. PLing has gone way too far. If you're 40+ and still need a PL, fucking quit the game, please. It wasn't needed before 40 at any rate, that's just the level I'm willing to tolerate it to now >.>

Just joined another party on BRD. DNC, BLU, WHM, BLM, THF, me. They wanted the DNC to tank, until I clued them in that a DNC/MNK at level 12 isn't going to be tanking much of anything. Then they looked at the THF. The BLU didn't have /WAR as an option either.

Shoot me in the fucking face, I'm done for the day.

Not being able to get into these higher end endgame shells just because I don't have sea. I don't even know why i bother investing millions of gil into gear and time into merits when endgame linkshells wont take me because i dont have fucking Sea Access.

I'm sorry but I am a skilled player and i work hard to get access for crap, Salvage, Sky, all the Dynamis zones, etc. I can do any Dynamis, ive got every win to Xarcabard and dreamworld acess. I have sky access and can do Salvage, endgame linkshells should know Sea is harder to get to, and I am working towards it, but God damn.

I don't need Sea to do dynamis
I don't need Sea to fight HNMs
I don't need Sea to do Nyzul Isle
I don't need Sea to do Sky

I can be of use in every situation except for Sea and endgame Linkshells just dont freaking care, its like having Sea is the only way i get to do all this crap again.

I regret moving servers, I had a good thing going on my old server, I was in a decent endgame shell and fought almost every HNM and done every Dynamis, taken down every sky god and Kirin, and have the titles to prove it, but apparantly it doesn't matter to Linkshells of Odin because unless you don't have Sea you can't do anything.

I am slowly losing interest in this game because I see people who started the game after me get more accomplished. I'm sorry I didn't have the time to work for sea when i first started the game, i guess i wasn't one of the lucky few.

There was a guy who started the game when i was a 75 Paladin, and i remember helping him get through the basics of the game. Now a few months later hes walking around as a 75 Paladin in Homan gear and Gallant+1 and Askar, like WTF am i doing wrong???

I hate Odin server.. with a passion.. when i get a reason to leave im hopping on that train

Well I do have sea access at this point but I can see how that would be frustrating. I've not gotten to the point where I'm ready to join an HNM shell just yet, though.

If it's any comfort at all I'd help you guys get sea if we were on the same server.

also i can get u on 1 of the bests HNMLS of this server(lAftermathl) and i can get u access to sea in a week with any problem.
