I have to agree that the even/odd theory is a sack of dildos. I've tried it both ways, and it still comes out the exact same, sometimes I get there and sometimes I don't. Just bring plenty of oils if you don't have you're own sneak, and cross your fingers when you hop on the pad.

We were locked out of every zone but Bastok the other night, which was of course the only zone that we had 0 members needing clearance in. We ended up having to wait 3 hours to do Beaucedine.
In Pixies (and when we used to go as DynamisProject) our Tuesday runs are usually fine but Saturday's are a different story. At the time we start there's usually several Japanese shells doing dynamis at the same time, we're lucky if we can get a city nevermind northlands.

My biggest pet peeve in the game is the damn teleporter to get to Kirin's room. It is the absolute stupidest thing implemented in the game. What purpose is there to making it a random teleport to one of two rooms? I hate it, hate it, hate it!!!!
There is a teleporter on the way to Olla/MG/Water that takes you to Kirin also and its not a random chance either.

As for the even/odd thing, I've been playing this game for many years and I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is BULLS**T! lol I have the absolute worst luck with that teleporter and I've tried every "theory" out there too. My max. attempts to date are 28....by the time I got up there Kirin was nearly dead. ><

                    The latter is correct.

That one is as well, unfortunately. When we first learned that it took you to Kirin's room we all hiked to that one, and most of us ended up at pots.

                        4. If you cast regen 1 over my regen 3 on the tank one more time.... ( I still haven't worked out the logic behind this one)
                        5. If you cast cure 3 over my regen 2 on that dd one more time....
Ok totally had to say something about these 3. I have both whm and rdm leveled so I've been on both sides of the fence.

                        3. I'll cast Dispel when I get to it. The spikes aren't going to kill someone and I think keeping my refresh chain going a bit more important than a cure 1's worth of damage. I also won't dispel the spikes if 20% of health is left on the mob because its going to be seconds before its dead.

                        4. My regen 1 does not do anything to your regen 3 if I cast it. It's only 15 mp so if I make a mistake and cast it then its no big deal so don't get your undies in a bunch. LOL

                        5. You want me to cure.......you don't want me to cure......make up your mind!! I can not always be watching every thing that you do so sometimes I'm gonna cure someone you regened. How about you watch every spell I do and then you won't regen the person I'm curing?? Oooooooor I could just not cure?? It's a vicious cycle! LOL

When I'm on whm and someone cures the person I regened, yes I get a momentary twitch but I don't get to upset because at least they are doing something and not just standing there. Now if they are going out of their way to cure people I've regened (and yes this has happened to me!) then I'll send them a /t and talk to them.

I think one of the biggest issues is communication. One of the things I do on whm is communicate to the other healer, if there is one, that I've got the tank 100% unless I'm resting. They can then concentrate on the rest of the party if they wish to. This way my regens are undisturbed and I twitch a lot less. LOL

O.k I probably shouldn't have posted straight after the end of the party when I was still narky

I couldn't agree more on the communication. When there is a rdm in the party I always have a quick conflab in tell before we start to sort out who is doing what and generally keep the odd tell going while we are fighting if something comes up.

I think what bugs me with some rdms is it goes one of three ways:

                          1. The rdm is so used to main healing that they play almost exactly the same as if there was no whm in the party and try to sort of main heal.
                          2. The rdm is so used to main healing that they don't know what to do with themselves anymore and start doing random things like pointless status removes.
                          3. It's incredible.

1 and 2 seem a lot more common than 3. I can understand and sympathise with why it happens but it still makes parties frustrating ><

Right, If the mobs nearly dead then sure, no point and of course it's not as important as a few other things a rdm needs to do but what does bug me is when the mob comes in with Blaze spikes up or casts it early, goes through the whole fight with blaze spikes up, the rdm has mp and is resting or is busy casting silena on the sam/thf and war/sam.

Blaze spikes won't kill anyone but it having it on most of the time does mean an extra 90-300 (depending on how many hits per round, how fast the imp dies etc) damage to each non ranged attacking DD/tank per fight which is a lot more expensive mp wise even with curaga/regen, than a dispel.

                          4. My regen 1 does not do anything to your regen 3 if I cast it. It's only 15 mp so if I make a mistake and cast it then its no big deal so don't get your undies in a bunch. LOL
Again, if it's a mistake no big deal. The person who was doing this was doing it over and over again though. It was just weird, she left very quickly or I would have asked her about it.

                          5. You want me to cure.......you don't want me to cure......make up your mind!! I don't regen people who are being cured if they aren't still going to be missing enough mp for a regen to be a good idea and again, the odd overcure isn't a big deal, it happening most of the time is going to start being annoying though.

I'm not expecting a rdm to keep track of every spell I cast but there are certain things that should raise a flag when they go past in the chat log them I know that if I see something like a cure, curaga, regen, dispel, sleep, convert, divine seal etc it grabs my attention.

I really appreciate having the safety net just incase but you get very few people who can middle ground as a back up healer. They either don't cast any cures at all or panic cure bomb the moment they see yellow, regardless of what else is going on when there is no need and run out of mp.

I'm guilty of this. In my defense, I don't ask for gil anymore, it took me a while to catch up to the whole "This isn't like WoW where everyone has a ton of disposable income," but now adays I fish to fund myself.
