Played for 4yrs. Has a pld higher then mine (doubt both of these things.)

I asked in /t to be nice and not call her out if she would not just cure bomb with cure 4 and not run away from cover.

In return i get the most wisdom ever:

"Cure IV does not give the most hate of a single cure spell."
"Curing yourself as a white mage does not give me hate"
"If you run from cover or just run away from a mob you lose hate"

Stupid people...

A couple days ago I was in a party in the dunes party. Before the party got started I got a blind invite from one person. I thought about just ignorring it, but considering that I waited two hours for a party the day before, I accepted. Then he asked "where are you?" which is a stupid question. You just did a search for me, didn't you see the location next to the name? Or what about the party box in the lower right hand corner?

So we meet up in the dunes and another guy comes around. Then the leader points at a lizard, and without saying anything, he attacks it. The other lizard right next to it links and they tear him apart. Also note that there was a goblin standing ten feet away from both of them. So he dies, then gets a raise. A few more people come around and we get a full party. At least, we knew we were full. He didn't.

I can't remember everything the guy told us to do, but it was never very logical. One thing was that he told either a Mnk or Sam to tank, while I (Blu) was clearly more fit for the role. Eventually he got tired of leading and passed the role to me, and soon afterwards the whole party just disband bacause they couldn't stand being with the guy.

After that I paired up with a couple people that were in that party, and the new party was much much better.

Noob RDMs!!

So I was on RNG, not enough lfp (as usual) to make a full party...

I saw this RDM/NIN lfp, so I asked him/her if they would like to duo worms in QSC, Silenced worms are simply easy exp.

So they turn up. Still /NIN - so I was like, go chnage to WHM sub. Apparently her WHM was lvl1. So I said do /BLM. That was lvl1 also.

So let me get this straight....this RDM has gone from 1-49 without a mage sub....

So anyway, I carried on. GOt to QSC, sneaked up, presuming the RDM would also sneak up. How wrong.

RDM ran straight into some Ants, at which that point I just disbanded.

Seriously. WTF.

(btw, after that I soloed to 50, then got a nice PT in Garliage and dinged 51. Woohoo!)

I think I can top the stupid rdm situations!

New guy in my ls's Dynamis shell.
He has 70 RDM, with a WAR sub
Blm is 17, and his whm is 16........ YEAH..................
So not only his role limited, but it'll hurt in pulls that are pinch i.e. stones linking <.<;
And he talks about it being a "learning experience" in a fruity type way for the first 4 runs he's been with us til I just ignore anything he says in ls chat.

What's with rdms and not having every sub possible or at least whm and blm? o.O

Wow, I mean, I still have to work on my NIN sub and I had RDM to 75 for like 3 months before I decided to do DRK sub, but at least I had WHM and BLM leveled and ready at 37+ for when I dinged 75.

I'm a very territorial RDM, and I'm also very picky about how other RDMs do their job when I'm partying with them. I don't expect everyone to do their cycle in the exact same order as I do in regards to Refreshes and enfeebs and even the occasional Hasting, but if I see some Dispel gone missed or if you don't get me Refresh in a reasonable amount of time, I'm going to think you suck. Even if you really don't and it's not even affecting xp that much. I guess it's just part of being a RDM, my blood boils when I see the job not played as well as it should be.

And someone on Alla said this best (quite some time ago, I might add): "As a RDM, it should irk you to the depths of your soul when a mob had the audacity to buff itself in front of you."

To be honest, I respect pretty much all the RDMs that are active posters on FFXIO.

Even hongman. /affectionate pat on the head.

But with that said, I pretty much think every other RDM just sucks.

I don't pt with RDMs often, but If someone isn't performing up to MY standards, then eff them: they suck.

It's easy to see a sucky RDM when you're the PLD.

So help me Altana, I had the best RDM and WHM in my pt the other day. The mob was always friggin paralyzed, I was able to comfortably cast due to slow, and the WHM loved casting Flash almost as much as I did.

Good lord. The rest of the pt sucked, but when I'm able to eat sushi and bust out 300+ damage Vorpals, then I don't really care.
