You guys see why I don't merit very much? Shit, I can't stand it anymore. Only time I go to merit parties is with my ls, we don't get impossible to guage chains but I don't give a shit because at least it's usually a lot more fun than pullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpullpull.

I mean fucking hell, give me a goddamn break to pee every once in a while. I couldn't sit and watch the chat log and HP/MP status bars for that long without wanting to kill myself. This is why I don't like to main heal. It bores the shit out of me.

As far as Convert goes, I use it when I need it. Lately, the {insert random DD here who doesn't belong to our ls but ends up filling the last spot} steals hate and screws everything up so that I'm using all my MP cure-bombing him on a regular basis.

Anyway, meriting sucks. I couldn't care less if I don't max my RDM merits because merit parties aren't even fun, and ffs that's why I play, for fun, not for grinding.

Also a reason why I'm considering dropping Dynamis these days ... but idk on that, it's only once a week.

Don't blame you!

I limit my meriting to one day a week mostly. I have ls events to consider, and frankly, lots of rl events (I'm getting back into singing again, also going out in London and getting pissed > FFXI anyday - I'd avoid Whitehall on Saturday night Baut ). Even then, if I don't merit, I'm not gonna worry - I'm probably doing something more fun!

It would be lovely to be able to party with more corsairs, but I just don't see that many of them. One of my friends is thinking of lvling corsair (13 at the moment), so maybe I can static with him and get him up high enough to party with my drg.

With any luck by that time I'll have all my assault gear and feel comfortable in exping again

This bothers me whether is merit or not. (I'm in the 20s and 30s, so I have a ways to go anyway.) It's the most annoying when I'm WHM. I've had times where 5/6 people (Everyone but me because I'm smart enough to stand out of range of AoE attacks.) who are at 50% HP start another fight while I'm at 20-30 MP. Stop! I don't care if you want to claim that worm before someone else does. Keep this up and you'll get yourself killed.

But when that happens, more often it seems like there is really only one person who does this and then everyone else jumps in so the other guy doesn't get himself killed. I usually refer to them as "trigger happy" people.

Noobs who beg for hand outs and dont want to learn to work for them and when you try to give them advice to get money or exp they say mean things to you and make you want to hurt them

People who camp NMs with R/EX drops while already wearing the R/EX drop.

My drop rates on items already suck, there's no need for three other people to camp Valkurm Emperor while two of them are wearing the Hairpin.

Yeah, they suck. I was in an AWESOME party in Quicksand Caves on my WHM, I had already gotten two levels and since the party was one of those great marathon parties where everyone wants to stay a {Long time.} I easily could have gotten 50 + buffer. And then Time Warner Cable craps out on me.

I call them. They are having widespred difficulties. As you can see, I'm back online, not less than 45 minutes after the {Connection Lost} and the party had long since disbanded and gone their separate ways.

God damn, I'm pissed off right now.

I mean, tomorrow's another day, but for once, I don't want to put off till tomorrow what I can do today!

This is more of a rant than a pet peeve..

Just about any guide you look at for the level 20 solo avatar fights will make reference to "the crack." They say to walk up to the crack, buff up, summon carby and cross the crack. After you cross the crack you enter the avatar's "territory" and they aggro you. You're supposed to be "safe" until you cross that point.

So I entered the fight with Leviathan and walked up to the crack (Not right up to it. There was a bit of a distance). I was in the middle of casting Aquaveil when Leviathan started coming towards me. Didn't have time for Barwatera or Yagudo drink and just tried to get Carby out as soon as possible. Leviathan was already hitting me and was able to land a Tail Whip too.

Used up all of my hi-potions and half of my ethers. Everything got screwed up, all because of the inaccurate guides about "walking up to the crack."

And now I have to wait 24 hours before I can fight him again.. /sigh
