People who think they are the party leader and then caused a party wipe.

Last week, me and my two LS mates who are in a static party. We been at this same spot for 2hrs and we got a new nin rep. We are are lvl 61 and they other two are lvl 60 or 59, & we were fighting puks and getting excellent xp. Nin who is jp, who speaks english was like in party chat "We go to new camp don't we?" while text is spinning to the melees, cuz nobody said a thing, while I noticed it. After fight, my friend goes to pull and I noticed the tank was like {This way} Nobody followed and he got aggroed by a puk, he dies, then I was trying to help keep my sam, war friend, and another DD alive...while I'm a bard. RDM who was main heal, was moving around, wasn't healing, but I knew she was there, I saw her running in circles and backed up and watched us die.

RDM: What am I suppose to do?
        ALL except for nin: HEAL!!!
        RDM: Sry I get panicky...

        X.X

& few nights ago, we had a tank who says "After I lvl, we should go to Adyweea Subteraine(sp?.

When we were getting 200+ xp without ring.

        :/

Ah, how I love cocky tanks that say I can hold hate off anything.

Pld in the mire said that it was impossible to take hate of invincible, how wrong he was. Divine seal + Curaga IV when you let the melees get a little low will do the trick. Curing 5 people for over 900 hp will make a mob very very pissed at you.

And the Kuftal tunnel crabs as a 52 blm. Pld saying nothing will grab hate off him. Be amazed at how much damage a blm taru can do in a very small amount of time.

Then of course the pld I was duoing with. Just up in Mount Z for fun with him, took hate after a Freeze 2, then kept hate with a Burst 2, Thundaga 3, Blizzaga 3.

            God I love cocky people.

                  I wouldn't be.

Was in a party in VoS iirc, NIN tank and DRK arguing back and forth wondering if the DRK could do enough damage to steal hate from the NIN. I just told them to be quiet and if they didn't I'd whip out an AM and die before the NIN even knew what happened and show them what stealing hate was like.

That was actually a fun party.

And the oh so fun, people inviteing ninjas over Paladins, with or without THF.

People who don't know how to pull and keep linking mobs.

Bad PT leaders. EX: We were in crawlers nest, and spent half the time trying to gather together. And the other half trying to figure out who should pull, which RDM should main heal, and dying from linked pulls.

People who make no effort to find a rep before disbanding from a good PT

The fact that you are more likely to get a pt invite while sitting in Jueno/white gate, than actually sitting inside the desired dungeon/zone.

That RDMs can barely/rarely deal melee damage. The class was originally designed around be ABLE to at least do some melee.

The whole game relies on Partying. I think more quest/missions should be able to solo at the appropriate level.

When people get mad at me for not having a maxed job at my level. EX: 36 RDM should have Dispel, Dia II and many other additional random things. But I've been on for 2.5 months, and I don't have 100K+.

I actually usually prefer to disband the party in the event that someone has to leave. Melees are usually easily replaced, but tanks or mages can be harder. So if I have to (while on whm) it can be nigh impossible to find a rep. But of course I feel obliged to stay if one of the random DDs just joined the party.

When people get mad at me for not having a maxed job at my level. EX: 36 RDM should have Dispel, Dia II and many other additional random things. But I've been on for 2.5 months, and I don't have 100K
Don't you think certain spells are available at certain levels for a reason? It's one thing to not have the spell in your inventory the moment you ding, but I'd expect you to have it by the next party. If you can buy it, quest it, or otherwise obtain it, you need to take a break from the job to farm or aquire the spell.

I expect ninjas that are 37+ to have utsusemit:ni, I expect whms to have haste, I expect plds to have flash. Those are the tools of the job. Parties evolves as you level, and party dynamics change as tool become available. Dispel and Refresh/Ballad are more crucial ones, but same goes for any spell/job.

Do you expect whms to have cure spells? paralyna/silena? Expect DDs to have a weapon? Except the tank to have armor? Every job has expenses, and we all had to aquire the tools to preform effeciently. You'd be surprised to find that it doesn't become a lot easier to make gil with higher levels. Most times you still farm the same things, advantage is you can just kill it faster now. Other ways too, but it's not like you ding 75 and get handed a million gil reward.

Hoo boy...several of them hit over the last few days:

[rant]Let's see here...I'm pretty much out of gil, and I've been trying hard to make some in every way that I can during my spare time.

                            Over the last few days:

A total of 6 hours spent killing Jotunns, 0 Alky/Pallas trig drops.
6 Sozu Sarberry claims/kills, 0 drops. (#6 was immediately followed by a /t from a friend - "WOOOTTT we just got 2 PCCs and a Ni scroll in 4 UO runs!!!"....the other week on full moon I did 13 runs, 0 PCC and 2 Ni scrolls...)
Blown up several iron sheet attemps(4/30~)...I'm 40 levels over the cap, had on Smithy's Mitts and advanced support...I HQ'd pretty much every single one I didn't bust...
36 synths for a total of .7 worth of skillups(hit 60 Smithing at least!)
Died 3 times not counting Dynamis...had to eat an HP every time...

In all the excitement of finishing Zilart and CoP over the last couple of weeks, I forgot how !@#$^#&#% frustrating this game can be at times, especially in terms of making gil!

You'd rather sit around at the edge of one particular zone, and have nothing to do while LFG? At many level stretches, there might be 3 different zones you could party in. Do you want to limit yourself to 1/3rd of the invites you could be getting by LFGing in a central location?

Maybe you should be more shrewd with your shopping. Dispel is between 50k and 60k on your server. Dia II is only 10k. You could have had them both 4 levels ago. That's 18k gil each level. Is that too much?

You won't get much sympathy from those of us who have played for a long time. Even the scrolls which used to be really expensive are really, really cheap now. Phalanx: 15k. Erase: 10k.

No RDM should level past Lv.31 without a scroll of Dispel ready. Same goes for Refresh and Lv.40... And, I can't think of a single good reason not having Dia II. Don't have Barwater? OK, fine... but Dispel?! Geesh.

                                * * *

I blew most of my Beastmen's seals on Erase when I decided to level WHM. I got my Erase from doing BCNM with friends, because at the time it was very expensive (around 300k+?), and there was no way my lowbie character could afford it.

Dispel was a another drop from BCNM for me, IIRC. You don't have to be loaded with Gil to get these spells; you just have to spend time to farm or craft or do BCNM's with friends.

                                yet not a mote of dust is stirred;
Moonlight pierces the depths of the pond,
leaving no trace in the water.
