Most of the time its just ls chat on skype, mainly during hnms or dynamis or when everyone is bored. More fun to speak than it is to type.

1)Endgame.

You really want to just stand around here for 5 hours just on the off-chance that the claim-botting ls doesn't get the claim, and then maybe 1 of the 20 of us has a small chance of getting a part of an item? Really? That's really fun to you?
Camping nms 24/7 is not fun.

2)The whole "e-penis", "elitist", inferiority complex, MMO- asshole attitude problem.

Why do 10% of MMO players act like complete assholes all the time. Especially on forums. They sound like kids who are bullied every day in school and have to make everyone else feel inferior online to feel better about themselves.
Not an FFXI thing, I've found, but an MMO thing in general (Vanguard was the worst. Also the worst game.)

That isn't unique to MMO players. It's common across all of the internets.

Re: Typing vs. Chatting. I prefer typing. I am not a fan of voice chat. People's voices are often annoying, and people talk over each other a lot. Plus, typing is more considerate to other people in my apartment (which is admittedly not often, but I have run into situations where my voice chatting got in the way).

I appreciate it's organizational use for events and stuff, but I have little interest in being on a voice chat program all the time when I'm playing.

My biggest pet peeve is when people shorten my name to "Tuath".

It's either Tuatha, or Tua, if you're going to type out Tuath then just add the a on the end, is it really that hard?

That, and people I don't know who will send me a tell when I'm two zones over for a tele/raise/PL. If I actually know you or you're in my LS, and I'm not busy, sure, but I've raised people and not even gotten a "thank you" or anything, after travelling to raise them.

Or if I'm in one of the main cities, grabbing stuff for synthesis or fishing or something, and people ask me for a tele. I'll (usually) politely tell them that my home point isn't here, and I'm going to be a while in the area before I would be leaving. I had one person tell me I could just chocobo back (I was in sandy at the time, and they wanted a tele-holla. -_-; )

Well, I guess I should add in a third, the people who tell others how to do -x- job because they have -x- job at 75 and know everything about it. I'm all for constructive criticism and trying to help people play their job better, but you have to know where to draw the line.

Pet peeve for today...

People that have agreed to join your party for a mission, only to then persistently tell the leader what he/she should do. The party leader is there to make the final decisions, if you don't like them, you leave and make your own party.

Suggestions are fine of course, but if the leader doesn't agree, then back off or leave.

Also... People that think its ok for them to go to a capped mission underlvled just because they are a mage. Sometimes its acceptable yes, but when there is a limited number of participants for a CoP mission (ie, BCNM fight), then I want the mages to have all the MP and magic skills/gear they can get their hands on for the capped lvl. I would be severely embarrassed turning up to a lvl 40 cap fight as lvl 37 when everyone else made the effort to lvl their jobs to 40 with capped skills.

n00bs in lvl 55's.

I'm in a static party with my friend and a LS mate. We have a WAR, Nin, and RDM. First fight was hard, Nin hardly voked, letting the mob run everywhere and he couldnt keep up the hate. So my friend told him, keep on voking it when you have a chance, second fight went really fine, he told him "nin you did great." War replied, "He has a name ya no" -.-

Later on, whenever the mob goes after the RDM main healer. Nin and WAR goes after the bird like a dunes xp party. NO voke at all, and messing me up, because I couldnt play any songs.

I told them in party chat "Please move away from the mage."

War replied "Were trying!!"

They were standing and fighting, no voking whatsoever, they couldnt voke it and take themselves off of autolock on to move away from mages. Few more times it happens, and I repeatling keep saying "Please move from mage."

"We're trying!"


/sigh

They were whacking it, no voke at all -.-

Also today in Sandy i was Crafting my cooking from 61.8-65 cooking. This chick who I blisted her months ago for harassment, because she claims my friend stole her haub and he told me she is saying that shit, because he doesnt like her that kind of way and she went psycho, so basically to get to me, she goes thru me. I called a GM few months ago, because she was on her bf's account, sitting on top of me while lvling smn and also saying shit in /shouts and /says which thats why my friend in /say said "she could get you for harassment." GM did the vanishing thing so i dont see that character anymore. So She sits on top of me on her account and I wanted to take her of blist and say like "Do YOU want another GM call? I thought you learned your lesson from Qufim Island." But she ran off somewhere....not that i care, as long she was away from me.

I want to be left alone. >

An old peeve revived today >_>; People who don't read search comments! Espically when it say, in auto translate, "Caedarva Mire = No thanks!" Is it really that hard to miss the green text?!?!?!?!!??! And having to state i don't have the two runics to that area two times in /p, but it takes a /t to the leader before he notices that -.-; Honestly?! Then people not having the easiest, aggro free staging point, Nyzle Isle..... how can you not have that?.... that's like saying you still don't have an airship pass or did G1.....

Why don't you have the Runic Portals to the mire? Even if you don't want to exp there, they are still handy to have once in a while.

Well. I do on Akashimo, but right now, I'm lfp on Nekoai(69mnk) and i never did those runics just because of the distaste and agony I have for that area on Aka. >_>;;; And for missions, just soro so i'll just take the boat and hope some nms would pop for fun on the way there. Very few reasons why i need to go to that region in the first place >_>;

Making mithra female when 99.99% of the people who play them are male.

Yes, I realise the reason they're played by males is because they're female.

Meh, I wouldn't play as a mithra just because they are female. I just think they're cool. Tarutarus are too small and cute for me. XD Galka are just the opposite. Too big a bulky. Elvaan are okay, but I would more likely pick hume over elvaan. So for me, hume and mithra are my top two choices. And if I decide to have only one character, I'll have to pick one or the other.
