So you download an installer file from the website?

Negative. You go to the seekers site, follow the link to pre-order the digital download and follow the purchasing instructions. Once you've bought it, they send you an email with instructions to follow a link in said email on the 26th (release day). Assumedly, the link will digitally download the files into your FFXI folder on your PC and then feed that info into POL and yadda yadda.

I'm just hoping it's not all fucked up.

Again... I have no idea what it'll make you do for Steam.

So I have a few jobs leveled to around 30 with half a million gil. Should I still remake?

Getting the jobs to 30 will be an easy fix. I have no idea how easy it is for low levels to make money nowadays. I know its easy at high levels, but its really up to you.

Half a million gil is more than you'll be able to raise as a fresh character for a long time. Crystals will get you somewhere... but not very quickly.

Ultimately the choice is yours. I'll help you with what I can... but I tend to spend my gil as soon as I get it more often than not.

A good run through dynamis or salvage can make you 1M gil, and you can do each of those daily if you make time. Of course, you won't be doing those until you're 75+/99. I'd lend you half a mil and have you get me back later. Socially, though, you're probably better off on Cerb. Aside from a handful of dear friends, I'm more or less alone on Lakshmi, and like Yyg my playtimes are erratic so I couldn't guarantee I'd be around to help you.

Even if I am personally not around, Squiggs and Romy are often on even when I'm not. And worst case scenario, there are an awful lot of really great and helpful people in the LS who are more than willing to lend you a hand... provided that you return the favor when they call on you for the same.
