2 jug pets were created with a high TH ability. Whatever a thf would get at 99…because they were thf type pets.
Shit got a little crazy with bsts in dyanmis and them raining ancient currency EVERYWHERE.
SE nerf the jugs’ TH.
Dynamis is still over run by Bst and currency is still raining EVERYWHERE
They mentioned adding (in different words) to be on the lookout for ‘Pet:+TH†type gear in the future. Now they’re saying that’s not happening.
I'm saying SE is behaving in typical SE fashion and that there are plenty of seats at the bar if you care to join the DRGs, PUPs and RDMs as we run up our tab.

Woah wait a second. Did SMN just hit the fucking jackpot? I think we did. Can you say "BP SPAM"? If the ability has the same duration as our original 2-hour did, I could empty my MP pool into a mob for more damage and any other job could in the same time.
x5 SMNs using Ramuh's Thunderspark AoE while the 6th uses Ramuh's AoE Stun = Walking the Beast being a joke now.
Yeah, SMN pretty much hit the jackpot with Chain-Summon. (They share this jackpot with DRK's new En-Absorb TP.)
And they'll still be called to Perfect Defense for zergs instead.
Also, I wish that RDM at least got BRD's new 2-hour instead. Instead, our new 2-hour, already only good for screwing around and making yourself the Juggernaut, gets nerfed before it's even implemented.
BRD's new 2-hour, much like Fencer, goes to waste on BRD.

Job Effects
WAR Regular attacks will become non-elemental and grants a drastic increase in accuracy.
MNK Grants a 100% counter-rate against regular attacks from enemies. Also, the amount of enmity gained by this will increase drastically.
WHM Grants party members protection from status ailments.
BLM Grants a drastic decrease in enmity generated by magic attacks.
RDM Grants an increase to the effect of enhancing magic.
THF Major damage is dealt to the enemy and all enmity will be transferred to the player standing in front.
PLD Grants an increase to the chance of blocking with a shield and reflects the blocked damage to the attacker.
DRK Steals an enemy's TP through regular attacks while the effect is active.
BST Absorbs the pet and recovers both HP and status ailments. Also, the player will receive a Reraise effect.
BRD Drastically reduces the magic defense, magic evasion, and INT/MND of the target.
RNG The range modifier will become the optimal distance no matter the range to the target. Also, ammunition will not be consumed.
SAM While the ability is in effect, all damage caused by the physical special abilities will be evaded. Additionally, weapon skill damage will increase as more special abilities are evaded.
NIN Grants a drastic increase in parry rate. Additionally, Ninjutsu recast times will be reduced by 50% and ninja tools will not be consumed.
DRG Wyvern’s HP is completely restored and all status ailments are cured. Additionally, the wyvern’s stats will increase.
SMN The recast time of both summoning magic and Blood Pacts will become 0 while under the effect of the ability.
BLU While the ability is in effect, blue magic from Unbridled Learning can be used continuously.
COR Grants the ability to use up to 3 Phantom Roll effects.
PUP Automaton will use special abilities. Special ability usage will depend on the automaton head.

Valoredge Head: Invincible
Sharpshot Head: Eagle Eye Shot
Stormwaker Head: Chainspell

I feel like we got ripped off with ours. Nothing they could give us was going to compete with Chainspell, but it's like they didn't even bother trying to come up with something useful.
The ones that matter to me... and my thoughts on them:
WHM Grants party members protection from status ailments. Sounds pretty awesome when you think about it in terms on enemies and NMs of the Marlboro type. Use of this 2-hour will eliminate the need to kill the lesser NMs in Dynamis: Valkurm Dunes in order to weaken the Zone Boss.
BLM Grants a drastic decrease in enmity generated by magic attacks. Lame. Super lame. I already have Enmity Douse on a 15 minute timer.
NIN Grants a drastic increase in parry rate. Additionally, Ninjutsu recast times will be reduced by 50% and ninja tools will not be consumed. Recast timer means nothing to me... and NIN tool consumption hardly does either. I already have capped NTE and almost never consume a tool already. I wouldn't waste my time casting this to get those effects. As for parry... the boost had better be drastic or it's also a waste of time. Issikigen + this might be something to consider combining to make yourself almost untouchable via melee.
SMN The recast time of both summoning magic and Blood Pacts will become 0 while under the effect of the ability. Epic. The possibilities are virtually limitless. I can't wait. I just... can't... wait.
COR Grants the ability to use up to 3 Phantom Roll effects. I suppose it will ultimately depend on the duration of the effect, but I don't see this being 2-hour worthy. In an event like VW where there's a COR in nearly every party, it's got potential to stack 6 rolls on every player... but probably only for 1 minute of a 10 minute battle. I'm underwhelmed.

Spiritreaver Head: Manafont This is another one I was really pretty fond of. It's a good reason for me to use Stormwaker Head over Spiritreaver for a while. The 3 Melee Heads 2-hours are also understandable and interesting choices. I wonder how it'll work out. My guess is well. PUP has been getting a lot of love in the past 3-4 updates. It makes me wish i played the job a little more often to appreciate them.

Is the new WHM one flat immunity? Because if not then it would be underwhelming due to Divine Caress and Light Arts + Solace stacked with Barspells in general.
Does the new WHM 2 hour stack with Divine Caress if it is the case of it not giving flat out immunity? A WHM with the +2 Orison Head or Yagrush basically can basically keep up their new 2 hour effect indefinitely.
Farmed up 3 stacks of lizard eggs and 3 stacks of coeurl meat.
36 synths and only got +.4 skill ups. I’m level 57, cap on the recipe is 59…
And I think I’m successfully flooding the market on pet food zetas ><
Welcome to where I was two weeks ago. Mine were flying off the AH and then there's suddenly 84 stacks and the market crashed into the toilet and I'm still trying to sell off the excess pet food.
Take my advice and move on to crafting bison steak soon. You'll have to do it at the guild for the synthesis bonus but it'll get you skilling up again faster.
I was more complaining about .4 skill ups in 36 synths but I see what you mean.
Luckily though, I’m not super worried about them not selling to be honest (the zetas at least...Eta/theta may be a different story). Because I can just use different atmas in abyssea and spam the zetas (instead of using Mounted Champ). And I’ve been handing off stacks here and there to other LS members.
It’s literally costing me 792 gil to craft upwards of 48 Zetas (12 synths getting 4 zetas per synth). So even if I NPC them, I’m profiting (lolprofit, but profit none the less).
55g x 12 for the flour and 11g x 12 for the dist. water
-I need KIs from Aby-Att so I’ve been amber farming the meats there. drop rate is pretty good too and no one fights them. So it kinda makes sense just to farm those.
1.5 hours of farming nets me 3+ stacks along with Ulsh/Itz KIs
-Lizard eggs have an insane drop rate in Crawlers nest. Not uncommon for them to drop 3-4 eggs a kill (and I was farming pup/blm). 1 hour of farming can net me upwards of 5-6 stacks. And the VW warp puts you a stone throw away from them.
-I farm the clusters in sky on blm/rdm. Can usually a stack w/in an hour. Sky warp saves on travel time.

I will try this…but, I might try my luck first with a couple Razor Brain Broths. Seeing as it caps at 63 and is a very good jug (imo). And ziz meat isn’t as bad to farm as you might think.
Farming ingredients is still a cost you need to calculate to determine whether or not you're turning a profit.
I've seen this misconception propogated so often when people start talking cooking + fishing. That 25k you're saving by farming coeurl meat yourself is 25k you could have made by just throwing the stack on the AH instead of synthing it.
Sorry, it just bugs me when it gets suggested that opportunity cost is not a cost.
But seriously, Bison Steak has good profit margins and sells pretty quick, even if it doesn't rake in the dough as fast as some other synths will.

Not trying to be a debbie downer, but the materials you're farming aren't free. You could've sold them for profit, so turning them into zetas means you're losing potential money.
Look at it this way: Pretend you camp a NM for 6 hours get a drop from it that sells for 1 million gil on the AH. That's indistinguishable from farming 1 million gil in 6 hours and buying the item on the AH. If you sell the item for 100k, you've lost 900k even if it didn't cost you money to obtain the item.
When you look at it from that point of view, the best course of action is to do whatever gets you the most gil/hour, and use that gil to buy the materials. Spending 1 hour farming a stack of materials worth 5k is worse than spending 1 hour farming 20k and buying 4 stacks of materials. Of course, if you can't buy the synth materials anywhere you have no choice but to farm them.
