Hey guys, let's totally avoid ruby kills. I don't want you to drop 6k+ Drakesbanes, I want you to use 200 damage Raiden Thrusts because amber and oh noes the black mages can't figure out how to get azure kill-shots.

Jesus fucking Christ, if you're going to shout up an exp party then let me actually kill stuff so we can get exp. It's not like the rest of the alliance was dealing any damage...

Last night after some minor begging, I was able to get into a VW PUG on Bst. I’ve been on a few runs with the shouter. Knows what he’s doing and generally has smooth runs.
The KI for this fight allows you to hold another stone (would be my 5th) so I wanted it.

Since I was one of the last to get invited, I was pretty much the last to get there. He kept saying he had to hurry and we were just doing 1 for the KI. Plus, it was already pretty late at night for most people.

I went as fast as I could so I didn’t piss anyone off.

Fight went smoothly…until the NM died.

Ouch, i have yet to do that but i can imagine your frustration. New pet peeve for me is my new work schedule. LS has events at a 1930 start time, which means around a 2000 or 2030 actual start time and i have to work at 0500... First world problem i suppose.

When NMs pop right in front of my competition. Like literally right in front of them.

Also solo’ers that zombie kill timer NMs.
I don’t care, call me the asshole in this situation. Saw a Bst soloing Adze. It hit his pet with Endoom early. Pet dies, he calls another and same thing happens (tough luck). Being a Bst myself, i know the guys got 2-3 minutes on 'call beast'. So anyway he goes down shortly after. He gets up, engages. Dies. Gets up engages. Dies. Gets up and I take claim because I’m not about to watch him zombie Adze for 45 minutes.

He says some naughty words in /say and runs off.

I mean…don’t get me wrong, I have nothing wrong with soloers or even soloers taking a long time…as long as they're legit. hell i'm a soloer myself. Zombie-ing is not legit to me. If there’s chance for the soloer/group to get up and recover, I’m fine with that. But getting off 2 hits and just RR-ing every 30 seconds is painful to watch….and I wasn’t about to watch it.

And last but not least…Doom. Actually not so much doom. More Holy Waters than doom. I was Pup when I grabbed Adze. I got Doomed twice and went through about 12 holy waters…I survived but damn that’s annoying….

I tried soloing a few times on Bst…but its become a waste of time/money. It’s massively dependent on getting lucky because of endoom. I solo on Pup. Stick my whm frame far enough not to engage and he takes care of Cure, posiona, stona…etc. I just need holy waters for doom.

Can’t you take it to a rock and nuke/kite on rdm? Come on Cid…figure out an alternate way. MAKE ME PROUD!!!

I am terrible at pinning stuff. Without bind and gravity I'm pretty awful at kiting things. It's one of my biggest failings as a Red Mage.

It's what's keeping me from taking down Deelgeed too. I've probably got the power to just chainspell it to death, but all the status ailments leave me face down in the dirt. I've tried using fanatic's drinks to buy me a window but at least on Deelgeed the status ailments get through even when the damage doesn't and when fanatic's wears off I'm a wreck and easy pickings. I've tried meleeing it down while stacking atmas for AGI and evasion, but it's the same story, if the wrong status ailment lands everything just becomes a train wreck.

I guess I just need to learn how to pin, but I'm just really bad at it and every time I try I find it utterly discouraging.

Don't you just love that kind of guy? Somebody who is almost universally known as a dumb player on the server, and he is the only person who doesn't seem to be in on that fact.
