Aww I actually liked bastion lol. They just need to give the Martello a little more HP (or Def).

I do it every so often for resistance points. The Bastion NPC sells Healing Salve IIs (very nice!!)

I don't dislike Bastion, but I've never gone to a zone just to do it. I've always had something else (NM, quest, etc.) to do and when the warning comes up on screen just warp to the 00 flux. They happen often enough that you can skip one and catch the next if you are in the middle of something else.

I used to do it more often. Like when I was looking for an xp party. Could usually fit in a couple battles before an invite. Certainly got more xp than sitting in Jeuno.

I just liked the massive xp/resistance you got per kill. Anywhere from 200-2000+ depending mob. I’ve made upwards of 7k xp in one of those 2 minute runs. Extremely rare, but was cool.

Thank you both for liking my idea. I have many ideas swirling around in my head, needing a way to be let out. I have entire pen and paper battle systems (That are balanced!), up here in my head, as well as actual video game battle systems and events for many MMOs, that would fit well with the games. Too bad I'm not a game designer, and it costs too much to go to school for it.

(I only know that they are balanced because, I have had people test them in forums, and people have actually told me that they are.)

So, I logged on tonight for close to an hour. Spent most of the time just looking for things to do in Aby (got tired of trying to solo golden chests for Goetia boots), and found quite a few Abyssites I'd like to obtain. Then realized getting most of them can't be soloed, and each of the ones I maybe could would probably take hours each anyway.

What would have been boss was getting special guerrilla-style ops for picking off approaching forces in-between battles; rewarding you for acting on those "approaching" messages rather than simply waiting for the next battle to start.

nice, and that could work with the constant battle gameplay. If they gave you missions to intercept reinforcements and stuff.

Let me put it this way, I only have the Ivory Abyssites you can buy from NPCs and the rewards for advancing the NM/Cactuar kills.

I'd probably start with Merit and Furtherance to solo somewhat easier, then Destiny and Fortune I guess. But they would take way too much time.

Well i didn;t notice until it cought my eye when on my charcter screen that even though i selected cerberus as the server I wanted to be on both of my characters are on carbuncle. After a chat with a gm I found out that cerberus was near capacity so they pushed new people onto a quieter server. Not a happy chappy as I don't know anyone on carbuncle. I asked if they could transfer me as I only stated playing to be with friends to which i was told you can pay to be moved as the server transfer once you've been playing 90 days. Thanks SE for fucking me up.
