It was me not paying attention. I'd just come out of Dynamis Buburimu and I thought I had landed another pair of -1 gloves and was tossing those, but no it turns out I either didn't get those or removed them earlier. I'd also just come back from a DC so my inventory was all screwed up. I have no one to blame but myself.
Yeah, CoP Dynamis got changed to be like the rest. It's better for farming currency though as you can do stuff with locking subjobs for chances at 100 drops and the non-beastmen mobs proc based on time rather than job so you can JA proc all night long.
You heard correctly. I have gotten the win in Jeuno, Windy and Bastok. I still need the win for San d'Oria before I can advance to the outlands. Any time you feel like doing a sandy run for the win... I'll be glad to join you. Let me know.
I'm fairly certain I could solo it on SMN. My only issue is that the new zone boss is HEAVILY surrounded by other mobs. Killing them to clear a path isn't an issue... but their 5 min respawn time is. I can't get enough of them out of the way in time to clear a path suitable to kite it out of there.
Bastok was easy... SMN NM... then to the landing by the doorway (not guarded). Windy was the same way... boom boom. Even Jeuno was a piece of cake. Why oh why must Sandy be the bane of my FFXI existence at every possible turn?

I could have sworn it was semi-secluded like the other ones. No mobs were around until down by the AH. We didn't kill any to open up space and had no problem.
Axe Weapon Skill “Ruinator†We will be lowering the attack modifier value and changing it so it’s half of the current value. The amount of damage dealt to high level enemies (those that have high defense) will be reduced, however, being able to deal damage easier than other axe weapon skills will remain unchanged.
We are making it so that the amount of damage will be around the same as Rampage if you have full accuracy and get 2-3 criticals. (This is when both of them are executed at 100 TP. There is of course more damage that can be dealt depending on gear and food.)
We are making adjustments so that you can pick Ruinator if you want to deal more consistent damage, or Rampage if you want to try and deal large amounts of damage.
Sword Weapon Skill “Requiescatâ€
Since Spirits Within’s damage varies based on your amount of HP and TP, we are adjusting Requiescat so that it will be easier to use than Spirits Within once you have 300 TP and also so that jobs that cannot boost their HP as high as paladins will be able to deal damage.
Also, Atonement is an easy to use weapon skill for paladins, which has a special feature, so the idea behind Requiescat was to give jobs other than paladin, specifically red mage and blue mage, a good weapon skill choice.

-20% attack penalty
Ah, I was wondering whether I should focus on leveling my jobs first or getting my shiny new weaponskills first. Glad my decision has been made easy.

I actually just spoke with a buddy of mine about this recently and have been corrected. I was under the impression that the ??? near the exit to Ronfaure was the one for the boss. I only just found out that it's not... and that the ??? near the entrance to North San d'Oria was the correct one.
