Isn't blu actually the second best healer in the game right now with white wind? <_<

I got to witness this in a party over the weekend. I had no freakin clue how powerful that spell was until the BLU in our party was spamming it.

Second best Healer? Maybe... but also consider SMN... using Carby. Carbuncle's Favor Grants +15ish regen/tic along with Healing Ruby 2's AoE Heal and a SMN with /WHM. I would say /RDM as well... but unfortunately limits you to a Cure III spam... which doesnt get you very far.

I still think that BLU's White Wind is a much more cost effective heal and probably more realistic... but SMN can totally hold our own in the healing category.

As I thought. So my blu is a better healer, proccer, stunner and damage dealer than my rdm. But hey, at least rdm has enfeebling, right? Oh wait, everything worth enfeebling is immune and nobody cares anyway. Versatility!

I've seen one.... and only one... kick-ass RDM. He was on Valefor... and he joined into one of my Dominion parties in Uleg. Range. He was single handedly 1 shotting Buffalos with his Atma/Gear setup and showing up the other 17 people in the party. He capped out our Azure within 6 minutes and then proceeded to burn pages like it was his job. It was hardly worth any of the melees trying to get a kill in before he finished a page 5/5. I forget his name... but I kept him on my friendslist. Other than him... I've seen nothing but mediocre RDMs everywhere.

Damn. I clearly need to work on my nuking set some more. The best I could ever do was kill-steal mobs at around 40-50%

Hmmm... any "job update thread" says 'hi'.

No, most of those are one person putting words in the mouth of others shitting all over the thread saying how they and anyone else who has ever played RDM is going to shit all over the thread asking for RDM to be made the only job in the game.

The actual threads are comprised of people wondering things like why the best melee body for RDM at 95 is a SH or a Assault Jerkin.

Probably the reason you don't see more rdms kicking ass like that is they have blm leveled and don't want to gimp themselves.

This guy needs to make a guide.

Rdm was supposed to be the jack of all trades, but SE gives them crappy magic skill, except enfeebling. Gave them crappy damage weapons, and no good lower level Weapon skills. At least give them red lotus blade SE!.

Raise their sword skill to atleast an A-, and their magic skills B+. Decrease the amount of mobs immune to enfebles by a large amount. Give them melee gear, and nuking/healing gear.

Allow them to equip pole arms, because I think Rdm would actually be good to use them.

Blu is the new rdm, but it's just better at their damage and healing IMHO.

Polearms is a weird suggestion. Any job can already proc raiden thrust with /war and a pitchfork, btw.

Ah. I haven't played the game for a while. But Rdm needs acess to another weapon besides daggers, and swords IMO.

Where the hell have you been? Red Mage has some pretty damn good nuking gear and it's cure potency gear is nothing to sneeze at(pretty sure you can cap cure potency now).

Polearms...no, just no. You're being dumb now. No part of Red Mage, either mechanically or lore-wise gives them any reason to pick up a pike.
